Jason  wasn't  very  good  at  this  whole  COMFORTING  THING.   Much  more  likely  to  be  the  one  to  cause  the  NEED  for  comfort  in  the  first  place.   That  was  what  Jason  was  the  best  at.   That  or  being  the  one  who  needed  the  comforting  ,  but  like  an  angry  dog  ,  he  often  times  ended  up  LASHING  OUT  AT  THOSE  TRYING  TO  HELP.   But  ,  for  some  reason.   Seeing  @renownedagent  sitting  there  like  that.   At  first  he  looked  around  to  see  if  someone  else  ,  ANYONE  ELSE  was  around  ,  but  saw  nobody  but  the  two  of  them.   He  hadn't  seen  him  yet  ,  Jason  could  just  as  easily  LEAVE  THE  ROOM.   Leave  the  whole  situation  for  someone  else  to  deal  with.   But  instead  ,  feet  start  to  carry  him  toward  where  Marcus  was  sitting.

He  was  a  GOD  DAMN  FUCKING  IDIOT  for  taking  that  bullet  for  him.   Which  the  kid  had  made  sure  to  point  out  SEVERAL  times  while  he  got  the  both  of  them  to  safety  ,  &  worked  impressively  to  remove  the  bullet.   (  his  time  spent  with  thalia  had  it's  benefits.   one  of  them  being  first  aid.  )   He'd  live  ,  he  could  see  that  well  enough  by  now.   But  it  was  stupid  ,  &  he  had  ALMOST  gotten  himself  into  some  serious  trouble.

Not  that  Two-Face/@halfdent  wasn't  ALWAYS  a  little  reckless.   Even  as  the  DA  ,  Jason  remembered  a  guy  who  stood  up  for  people.   Just  like  he  had  now.

The  chance  to  be  something  BETTER  than  he  would  have  managed  in  his  old  life  came  in  a  way  that  wasn't  how  either  of  them  had  planned  ,  &  despite  the  boy  being  EXACTLY  THAT  ,  he  counted  himself  lucky.

It  was  the  main  reason  for  the  pressure  he  put  on  himself  to  be  the  kind  of  kid  ,  the  kind  of  sidekick  that  someone  like  Bruce  ,  &  Batman  would  want.  His  own  faults  shown  with  a  spotlight  on  them  around  the  clock  in  his  mind.   If  he  wasn't  a  good  Robin  ,  then  what  was  he?   That  kind  of  pressure  he  used  as  a  DRIVING  FORCE  ,  but  in  moments  like  this  ,  it  was  often  a  force  to  contend  with.

There's  a  defeated  groan  at  the  FINAL  VERDICT.   His  own  eyes  looking  out  the  window  to  the  ever  familiar  bat  symbol  in  the  sky.   TAUNTING  the  young  hero  wearing  his  costume  like  it  might  somehow  CURE  him  of  whatever  stomach  bug  seems  to  be  ailing  him.   Looking  at  the  bowl  of  soup  ,  then  to  Bruce  ,  his  brows  FURROW  in  confusion.   ❝  Wait  …  You're  staying  here?  But  …  They  lit  it  up.  That  means  it's  important.  ❞

Arms folded tightly over his chest. A perfect statue of disapproving and frustrated. Head shaking as he pointed with his head to the untouched tray of dinner and medicine lying in the center of the coffee table where he had laid down on the couch, shivering and covered in a blanket while wearing his robin suit. 

“ You’re running a hundred degree fever. You would have to be mad to think I’m going to let you out of this house in that state let alone anywhere. ” He argued, sternly. His tone already implied there would be no room for arguments despite how much the boy might complain. Sighing, even as the bright signal of the bat hovered in the horizon like a taunt. His own cowl forgotten on the table next to the tray as he sat down, gently pushed the boy’s legs to give himself more room and took off his gloves to touch the back of his hand to his forehead. “ Yeah. You’re definitely not going anywhere. “ He repeated again, much to the boy’s disappointment.
