Kimberly Day Jacobs has been missing since August 21st, 2008. At the time of her disappearance, the 47 year-old lived in Honolulu, Hawaii with Stan Jacobs–her husband of three years. Kimberly was reportedly experiencing emotional distress on the day she vanished. She was experiencing severe back pain and was also dealing with a leak in the Waikiki apartment where she lived with her husband. Additionally, Kimberly and Stan also owned property in California, and their tenant in said property was harassing her. Stan reportedly last saw Kimberly around 6PM on the day of her disappearance. He said that she was distraught over the aforementioned circumstances, so he encouraged her to get some rest. Stan then left their home to go to a meeting. When he returned at 8PM, Kimberly was gone. She has never been seen or heard from again. A friend of Kimberly later reported her missing. Kimberly left behind all of her personal items, including her passport and credit cards. According to her loved ones, it is uncharacteristic of her to leave without warning and to stay out-of-touch with her daughter. Many people have found it suspicious that Kimberly’s friend is the one who reported her missing, rather than her husband. However, there are conflicting reports about Stan’s potential involvement in her disappearance. Kimberly’s page on the Charley Project states that Stan has cooperated with the investigation. Still, Kimberly’s family members believe that he knows more than he has revealed. A blog run by Kimberly’s sister has elaborated a bit more on their suspicions against Stan. Various posts on the blog state that Stan has held memorials/vigils for Kimberly without inviting Kimberly’s family members. Some people have commented on said posts in Stan’s defense, while others have also commented that they, too, are suspicious of him. Authorities have not publicly named Stan as a suspect. Kimberly’s case has not had any arrests or publicly named suspects. She remains missing today. If you have any information that could help solve the case, please call 808-529-3115.

The Horrific Unsolved Murder of Barry and Honey Sherman
On December 13, 2017, late in the afternoon, the Shermans met in Barry's office at Apotex headquarters, where they went over some design changes to the new house. Honey was planning to leave for a holiday vacation in Miami a few days later; Barry was to join her a week later. It was the last time the couple were seen alive. Later that evening, after returning home, Sherman sent his Apotex staff a routine email about a drug the company was developing. He did not call anyone during that night, which they said was unusual because he frequently suffered from insomnia. The next day, December 14, he did not show up at Apotex; again, this was out of the ordinary for him.
The next morning, December 15, neither Barry nor Honey were expected to be at home in the morning. The cleaning staff had already let themselves in with a recently installed lockbox when a pair of real estate agents arrived around mid-morning with a couple interested in the property. After showing them around the main story, the agents took the couple downstairs to the lap pool and hot tub. There, they discovered Barry and Honey's bodies on the floor next to the pool. Both of their necks were tied with leather belts to a metal railing slightly over a metre high around the pool. Barry was seated, his legs crossed, on the pool deck; Honey was on her side with a bruise on her face. Coats were pulled down over their shoulders restraining their arms; they were facing away from the water and fully clothed.
On the second anniversary of the case, the Toronto Star reported that the positions the bodies were found in nearly matched those of two 1970s-era "junk" sculptures of human figures posed sitting on speakers in the basement. Barry's right leg was crossed over his left, just like one, however Honey's legs were not in front of her as those on the corresponding sculpture had been.
The Star also reported that Honey's cell phone was found in a bathroom that, according to friends, she never used, suggesting she might have gone there in an attempt to summon help but was overpowered in the process. Similarly, Barry's gloves, as well as paperwork related to an inspection of the house, were left on the floor just outside the garage door, on the way to the basement pool. A window had been left open to allow a recently painted room to air out, and a basement door was unlocked, as apparently the Shermans frequently left it. Someone who may have known this, as well as the interior layout of the house, may have been able to escape through a neighbouring back yard after the crime, police said

Setagaya family murder
On 31 December 2000, the corpses of 44-year-old Mikio Miyazawa, his 41-year-old wife Yasuko, and their children, 8-year-old Niina and 6-year-old Rei, were discovered by Yasuko’s mother, Haruko, at their house in the Kamisoshigaya neighborhood of Setagaya, in the western suburbs of Tokyo. Mikio, Yasuko, and Niina had been stabbed to death while Rei had been strangled. Investigation of the crime scene by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department concluded that the family had been murdered on December 30 at around 11:30 p.m. (Japan Standard Time), after which the killer stayed in the house for several hours.
The Miyazawa’s killer entered through the open window of the second floor bathroom at the rear of the house, located immediately adjacent to Soshigaya Park, and gained access by climbing up a tree and then removing the window screen. The killer used his bare hands to strangle Rei, sleeping in his room on the second floor, killing him through asphyxiation. Mikio rushed up the first floor stairs after he detected the disturbance in Rei’s room, fighting and injuring the killer until being stabbed in the head with a Sashimi bōchō knife. A police report claimed that part of the Sashimi knife’s blade broke off inside Mikio’s head, and the killer then attacked Yasuko and Niina with the broken knife until using a Santoku knife from the Miyazawas’ house to murder them.
The killer remained inside the Miyazawas’ house for 2 to 10 hours, using the family computer, consuming barley tea, melon, and ice cream from their refrigerator, using their toilet and leaving his feces in it without flushing, treating his injuries using first aid kits and other sanitary products, and taking a nap on a sofa in the second floor living room. An analysis of Mikio Miyazawa’s computer revealed that it had connected to the internet the morning after the murders at 1:18 a.m. and again at around 10 a.m., around the time Yasuko’s mother Haruko entered the house and discovered the murders. Haruko became suspicious after being unable to call her daughter (the killer had unplugged the phone line) and visited the house but received no answer after ringing the doorbell. Authorities believe the killer had stayed in the house until at least 1:18 a.m. but the computer usage at 10 a.m. could have also been accidentally triggered by Haruko during her discovery of the crime scene.
The crime remains unsolved.

Amber Marie Smith has been missing since August 2014. The then-29-year-old was last seen in Detroit, Michigan, at the home she shared with her husband, Dennis Gentz. On August 13th, 2014, Amber told Dennis that she planned to go to her mother’s house in Warren the following day. When Dennis left their home around 8:30 the next morning, Amber was still home - and he asked her not to go anywhere until he returned. However, when Dennis returned by 10:30 AM, Amber was gone.
Amber never made it to her mother’s house, nor did she ever return to her own home. She left her keys and purse behind - which was immediately concerning. Amber’s loved ones quickly began to fear that she was in a dangerous situation. Amber struggled with drug addiction at the time of her disappearance. She also had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder - but she had stopped taking her medication about three weeks before she vanished.
A few weeks after Amber was reported missing, Dennis told local reporters that he believes a “neighborhood drug lord” is responsible for her disappearance. He later stated that he saw Amber on September 10th, 2014 on Barrett Street. Dennis said that he tried to cross the street to talk to her, but before he could, an unidentified gray car pulled up and drove Amber away. There have been other reported sightings of Amber in the Detroit area, but none have been confirmed.
A website called Justice for Native Women posted about Amber’s case in 2016. Over a year later, an unconfirmed source commented on the post and said that Amber was “alive, but not doing well.” It’s been years since that comment was posted, and it appears no other updates have occurred since then.
Amber remains missing today. If you have any information about her disappearance and/or whereabouts, please contact the Detroit Police Department at 313-596-5542.

Tiffany Heaven Daniels (25) was last seen in Pensacola, Florida on August 12th, 2013. That day, she went to work at a theater in Pensacola State College, where she painted sets. While at work, Tiffany asked her boss if she could leave a little early. She also told her boss that she would be away from work for the next couple of days, but she did not specify why; she simply said she had “a few things to take care of.” Tiffany’s roommate saw her return to their house that afternoon, however, he was on a phone call when she returned and he did not get a chance to speak with her. By time he got off the phone, Tiffany had left again. She never returned home and has not been seen or heard from again.
Tiffany’s family members and friends apparently did not know that she planned to take a few days off from work. According to them, she did not have any plans to travel out of town that week. In fact, a day prior to her disappearance, her boyfriend moved to Austin, Texas, and Tiffany declined to move there with him. She had, however, already made plans to visit him during the upcoming months; so it was quickly ruled out that she had run off to follow him to Texas.
On August 20th, eight days after her disappearance, Tiffany’s car was found parked at Pensacola Beach. Her wallet, cell phone, bicycle, water bottles, and other personal items were found inside. The car was found by a jogger who recognized it after seeing coverage about Tiffany’s disappearance on the news. Police spoke to residents who lived in the condominium across the street, and one resident in particular said that the car was “definitely not” parked there two days earlier. Two other residents said that they had seen an unidentified man getting out of the car earlier on that day. After the car was towed to the police garage for examination, investigators found two fingerprints, one on the door handle and the other on the steering wheel, that could not be matched to Tiffany or any of the investigators who had worked on the car.
Over the years, there have been a few sightings of Tiffany in nearby states, however none of those sightings have been verified. Tiffany’s mother Cindy Daniels originally feared that Tiffany may be a victim of sex trafficking. However, in April 2025, Cindy spoke to Pensacola News Journal and stated that the family no longer believes this to be the case. In the report, Cindy stated that 2 years earlier, she and her husband partnered with a non-profit organization called Shadows of Strength (SOS) to help shed light on their daughter’s disappearance. The purpose of the nonprofit is to “help human trafficking survivors by gathering valuable data, identifying crucial information, and assisting survivors in rebuilding their lives.” After working with this organization, Cindy explained that information came about that actually led her away from the trafficking theory. Specifically, Cindy now believes someone who was close to Tiffany may be involved in her disappearance. She noted that one of the people who Tiffany was known to hang out with has obtained a lawyer, while another person is not cooperating with the investigation. Despite these new developments, Tiffany still remains missing. If you have any information about Tiffany/her whereabouts, please contact the Pensacola Police Department at 850-435-1900.

The last known image of Shacaiah ‘Blue’ Harding, posted to her Facebook page on July 17, 2018–just days before she vanished on July 24, 2018.
Blue was last seen on the afternoon of July 23rd, 2018. The 19 year-old was walking along Buena Vista Road in Billings, Montana at the time. The following day, Blue posted a series of Facebook posts expressing that she was upset about a failed relationship, amongst other things in her life. She posted her final post shortly before midnight, which reads, “All depressing but I’m typing it like it’s everything but.. relying on feelings suck.” All of Blue’s social media activity ceased after that, and she has never been seen or heard from again.
In the months leading up to Blue’s disappearance, she was reportedly living on the streets of Billings. Her loved ones state that she was behaving ‘erratically’ in the months and weeks before she vanished, however she always kept in touch with her family. Finally, on August 20th, 2018, Blue’s mother reported her missing after not being able to contact her for almost a month.
There is unfortunately very little information available about Blue’s case. Reports state that she has ties to various areas in Kansas, New Mexico, and Montana, but it is unclear if she has been spotted in said areas. Blue’s family members are concerned for her safety and are desperately searching for answers. If you have any information that could lead to her whereabouts, please contact the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office at 406-256-2929.

Christian Muse disappeared at the age of 19 on July 15th, 2012. He was last seen in the Glass Manor area of Oxon Hill, Maryland. Christian never returned home, and he has never been seen or heard from again. Christian’s family does not believe that he left on his own accord. Shortly before his disappearance, Christian had finished courses to begin working as a HVAC technician. It appeared that Christian was building towards his future, however according to his father Michael Muse, Christian was experimenting with drugs as well. Due to this, Michael initially believed his son might have been suffering from memory loss. He explained, “just like a lot of teenagers [Christian] was experimenting with drugs and to what degree I don’t know. I know sometimes depending on the situation or the type of drug [memory loss] could happen.”
As time passed, Michael’s theory seemed less and less likely. Then, 9 months after Christian’s disappearance, Michael was contacted by a DC Police detective who was investigating a separate case that might be linked to Christian. In a time before Christian vanished, he was reportedly exploited by a group of adults who ran a child trafficking ring. This means that Christian likely had information about said adults that could incriminate them. Michael told reporters, “a DC detective who said he was working in conjunction with the FBI was questioning me, trying to find Christian and another group of boys to use as witnesses to solidify their case against these adults , and what’s strange and scary is that he couldn’t find any of these boys.” After this point, Christian’s family began to believe that something sinister happened to him.
Despite these suspicious circumstances, Christian’s disappearance did not receive any media attention until summer 2013, over a year after he vanished. Christian’s family is still holding out hope that he will one day return home. Michael has opened up a GoFundMe page in hopes of raising reward money for anybody with information that could bring Christian home. If you are interested in donating, please visit the page here. Additionally, if you have any information that could lead to Christian’s whereabouts, please contact Prince George’s County Crime Stoppers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).

The final image of 24-year-old Sydney Loofe, taken and sent on November 15th, 2017.
On the day this Snapchat was taken, Sydney planned to go on a second date with 23-year-old Bailey Boswell, a woman she had met on Tinder. Sydney never returned to her Lincoln, Nebraska home after meeting with Boswell. She was reported missing after she failed to show up to work on November 16th. Around two weeks later, on November 28th, Lincoln Police announced that they wanted to question two persons of interest in Sydney’s case. One of those persons of interest was Bailey Boswell. The other was Boswell’s boyfriend, a 51-year-old man named Aubrey Trail. Between November 29th and 30th, Boswell and Trail posted two videos to the Find Sydney Loofe Facebook page, declaring their innocence in the case. In the first video, Boswell says that when she went to drive Sydney home after their date, Sydney requested to be dropped off at a friend’s house instead. After allegedly dropping her off at the home of this unidentified friend, Boswell claims she has not seen or heard from Sydney again. That first video was deleted a few hours later and the joint Facebook account that Boswell and Trail had been using was deactivated. Trail posted the second video on the following day. He once again declared their innocence in Sydney’s case and angrily called out people who accused them of wrongdoing. At the end of the video, Trail explains that, despite having warrants for other unrelated charges, he and Boswell were going to turn themselves in because it was the “only viable option” in order to clear their names in Sydney’s case. The two were taken into custody in Taney County, Missouri and were taken back to Nebraska on December 1st. After the Lincoln Police were able to speak with Trail and Boswell, they announced on December 2nd, 2017, that the two remained persons on interest in the case, but they had still had not been charged with anything related to Sydney’s disappearance. The two remained behind bars on the aforementioned unrelated charges. On December 4th, 2017, Sydney’s body was found in a rural area of Clay County, Nebraska. In a press conference held the following day, authorities said that they had been following a “digital footprint” that prompted a search of that area and subsequently lead to the discovery of Sydney’s body. Sydney had been strangled to death and dismembered. Bailey Boswell and Aubrey Trail remained the only suspects in Sydney’s murder, however they were not immediately charged with anything related to her case. Then, in February 2018, Trail reportedly admitted to killing Sydney. In a phone interview with a local news station, Trail said that Bailey Boswell was not in the room when Sydney was killed. “When she was told what happened, she freaked out so badly she had to be sent out with a bag of weed to try and calm down,” he told reporters. Finally, on June 11th, 2018, Boswell and Trail were finally charged with first-degree murder and improper disposal of human skeletal remains in the killing of Sydney Loofe. As the case progressed, the truth about what truly happened to Sydney was finally revealed.

Lauren Astley and Nathaniel Fujita pictured together in 2010, prior to their April 2011 breakup.
Lauren and Nathaniel began dating when they were sophomores in high school. The two teens from Wayland, Massachusetts appeared to be a great match at first. Nathaniel was a football player and Lauren was described as the girl-next-door by her friends. The couple had many mutual friends and were part of a tight-knit social group. However, as time passed, Lauren began to go back-and-forth on her feelings for Nathaniel. According to her friends, Lauren would gush over Nathaniel one week, then vent her frustrations over him the next week. She would tell them things such as, “Nate’s so cute. He was so cute and fun last night,” or to the other extreme, she would say “He was so boring, he was on his phone the whole time, I’m so annoyed, I’m over it.” Lauren and Nathaniel began to fight frequently, and they would go through cycles of breaking up and getting back together repeatedly throughout their relationship.
Lauren decided to end her relationship with Nathaniel for good on her 18th birthday–April 1st, 2011. She was ready to move forward with her life and was looking forward to going to college in the fall and meeting new people. Nathaniel, on the other hand, was not accepting of the break-up and many of his friends said he grew very depressed after their relationship ended. According to his childhood friend, Nathaniel was no longer looking forward to college, and nothing seemed to matter to him anymore. Lauren tried to remain friends with Nathaniel, and he was invited to the graduation party that Lauren and her friends threw in the beginning of summer 2011. Nathaniel was reportedly intoxicated at the party and got angry with Lauren when he saw her talking to other guys. He angrily approached her and tried to get her to talk to him, but she refused and asked him to leave her alone. Lauren’s mother, who was at the party, stated “[Lauren] came to me crying, and said, ‘He will not leave me alone. He’s harassing me, he doesn’t want me to dance with anybody.” Nathaniel’s rage continued to build and he ended up angrily punching one of the poles holding up the tent that the 150 partygoers were gathered under. The tent collapsed and Nathaniel was asked to leave the party.
As the summer continued, Nathaniel’s depression worsened. His family noticed that he stopped hanging out with his friends and began to drink heavily. Nathaniel’s mother was deeply concerned for her son–so much so that she showed up at Lauren’s work and asked her to talk to Nathaniel to try and figure out what was going on with him. Lauren agreed, and arranged to meet up with Nathaniel at his family’s home on the evening of July 3rd, 2011. She sent her final text message at 7:05pm that evening, it simply said “Here,” to indicate that she had arrived at Nathaniel’s house. Once inside the home, Nathaniel brought Lauren into the garage where he slit her throat and then strangled her with a bungee cord. He then drove Lauren’s car a quarter of a mile away to Town Beach and dumped her keys in a storm drain. Nathaniel then ran home, put Lauren’s body in his car, and then drove to a secluded marsh and dumped her in the water.
After Lauren’s family reported her missing, it didn’t take long for police to identify Nathaniel as a person of interest. When police went to his house for questioning, they took a look around and found bloodstains in the garage and a gym bag full of wet, bloody clothes. The next day, Lauren’s body was found in the marsh. The following morning, Nathaniel was arrested and charged with murder.
At trial, prosecutors stated a clear motive for Lauren’s killing: Nathaniel was angry that his girlfriend broke up with him, so he killed her out of rage. Nathaniel’s defense team argued that he was suffering a massive depressive episode at the time of the murder, and for that reason he should be absolved of criminal responsibility. The jury ultimately agreed with the prosecution and found Nathaniel guilty of all charges. He was sentenced to life in prison. (x)

Brookelyn Farthing (18) has been missing from Berea, Kentucky since June 22nd, 2013. On the night prior to her disappearance, Brookelyn attended a party with her cousin and sister. Early into the night, her cousin and sister decided to leave the party early, and Brookelyn arranged to get a ride home from a friend later. However, Brookelyn and said friend apparently got into an argument, and the friend left without her. Brookelyn then caught a ride with a male acquaintance named Josh Hensley. The two went to his house after leaving the party. While there, Brookelyn texted several different people asking them to come pick her up. Her ex-fiance said he would pick her up after he got off work that morning, to which Brookelyn replied, “please hurry, I’m scared.”
Around 5:30am, her ex-fiance received another text from Brookelyn’s phone, stating “nevermind, I’m okay. I am going to a party in Rockcastle County.” As a result, the ex-fiance never went to pick Brookelyn up and she never returned home after that. Josh Hensley allegedly left his home early that morning to go move some horses in a nearby field. He claims that he returned to his house around 7am to find the couch where Brookelyn was sitting on fire, and Brookelyn was gone. However, her purse and some pieces of her clothing were left behind. The fire was deemed “suspicious” by investigators.
Police believe that Brookelyn was taken against her will. They also believe that the final text message from Brookelyn’s phone about the party in Rockcastle County was actually sent by somebody else. Despite extensive searches, no trace of Brookelyn has been found. Her case remains open and active.
In 2020, Hensley and two other men were arrested and charged with child sexual exploitation. While Hensley has never formally been named as a suspect in Brookelyn’s case, many still believe he has information about her disappearance. Still, not arrests have been made in her case.
If you have any information about Brookelyn or her whereabouts, please report it here.

19-year old Adrienne Salinas disappeared in the early morning hours on June 15th, 2013, while she and her roommates were hosting a party at their apartment in Phoenix, Arizona. Adrienne is believed to have left her apartment to drive to her boyfriend’s house at approximately 3:40am. About one block from her apartment, she crashed her car into median and blew out two of her tires. A witness to the wreck called 911 to report it at around 3:45am.
Adrienne herself did not report the crash—instead she abandoned her car and returned to her apartment on foot. Her roommates and friends were still partying. Between 4:10am and 4:50am, Adrienne made 32 unanswered calls to her boyfriend. At 4:32am, she called a cab to drive her to her boyfriend’s house and asked the driver to meet her at a nearby convenience store. At 4:53am, her cab driver called her to tell her that he was at the store. She answered and told him she was on her way. However, Adrienne never showed up at the convenience store and the cab driver left after calling her phone one final time at 5:07am. That call went straight to voicemail.
On August 6th, 2013, Adrienne’s partial remains were found in a creek bed 30 miles from where she disappeared. An autopsy was unable to confirm a cause of death and police have not publicly named any suspects or persons of interest in her case. Both Adrienne’s boyfriend and the cab driver who was supposed to pick her up that morning have been cleared of any involvement in her disappearance. The FBI is continuing to investigate the case.
Anyone with information/tips about this case can report here.

Jim ‘Anthony’ Hall (23) was brutally murdered by his on-again, off-again girlfriend Samantha Stansifer (20) on June 14th, 2015. Anthony and Samantha had been together on-and-off for about 3 years at the time of the murder. According to Anthony’s family members, their relationship was toxic—however they never imagined it would escalate to murder, as it did that tragic evening in June 2015.
At that point, Anthony and Samantha had broken up yet again, but Samantha was still living with Anthony at his Henryetta, Oklahoma residence. The two of them attended a party together on the evening of June 14th, and while at the party, Samantha noticed that Anthony had text messages from another girl on his phone. The two then began to argue and ended up returning to Anthony’s house.
Once there, things appeared to calm down briefly. In fact, Samantha and Anthony had almost fallen asleep when Samantha noticed more text messages from the same girl on Anthony’s phone. Samantha then told Anthony she was going to the kitchen to get a drink of water, but instead she grabbed two knives. She then returned and began to stab and mutilate Anthony’s body until he died.
Afterwards, Samantha seemingly confessed on Facebook, posting, “I did it. He deserved it.” Then, Samantha called the police and told them, “I killed my boyfriend and now I can’t kill myself.” Officers quickly showed up on the scene and Samantha was arrested shortly thereafter.
In April 2016, Samantha pleaded guilty to murdering Anthony. She was sentenced to life in prison without parole. Samantha currently remains behind bars in Okmulgee County. (x)

Justin Barnett (pictured left) was last seen at the age of 23 on June 3rd, 1995. At the time, he lived at an apartment in Birmingham, Alabama with his ex-girlfriend Sheila Horton. On the night Justin was last seen, he borrowed Sheila’s car to go meet some friends for a few drinks. At some point during the evening, Justin told his friends that he needed to meet somebody but that he would be back later. He unfortunately never returned.
Justin’s friends expected to see him at a party later that night, as he had plans to meet up with a new female friend. When he did not show up as planned, his friends made several unsuccessful attempts to get ahold of him. Justin’s friends eventually guessed that he just went home and fell asleep, but when his ex-girlfriend Sheila returned home from her own outing around 2am, Justin was not there. He was reported missing the following day.
Several days later, the car Justin had borrowed from Sheila was found abandoned in the Lakeview area. Investigators concluded that the car had been parked there very recently before it was found, because they had already searched that location and it was not parked there before. While this seemed quite suspicious, the car did not appear to provide any further clues pointing to Justin’s whereabouts.
After months passed without any trace of Justin, the case grew cold. Nearly two decades passed before an unexpected break in the case occurred. In January 2015, a man named Johnathan Abney went to the Birmingham police and told investigators that he had a secret he could no longer live with—and it involved a murder that occurred in June 1995. Johnathan was only 18 years-old at the time, and he lived with his older sister Tricia Abney (pictured right) and her boyfriend Jeff Martin in a small apartment on Sunrise Lane. He told investigators that, on the evening of June 3rd, 1995, he returned to the apartment and stumbled upon a horrific scene: a man had been murdered, and his dismembered body parts were scattered on the bathroom floor. Johnathan soon learned that the deceased man was Justin Barnett—who he had only met once before, while buying drugs at a Southside apartment.
When investigators pressed for more information, Johnathan explained that Tricia had asked him to go out that evening because she and Jeff wanted to spend some time alone together. But instead of having a romantic night, the couple lured Justin to their apartment with the intention of robbing him. The robbery went bad, and the pair ended up stabbing Justin to death before dismembering him in the bathroom. The couple enlisted Johnathan’s help in disposing of the body in Bibb County. Johnathan later parked Sheila’s car at the location where it was later found.
Johnathan worked with investigators over the next 5 months. He told them where to find Justin’s remains, but a search of the area did not recover them. Warrants for the arrests of both Tricia and Jeff were finally issued in June 2015. Tricia was apprehended first, and Jeff died by suicide shortly after her arrest. Johnathan himself was given immunity due to his cooperation with investigators.
Tricia went to trial in 2017. She was found guilty and given a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Jeannie Quinn was only 20 years old when she was brutally murdered in April 2018. Jeannie lived in Levelland, Texas at the time of her death. Her family members reported her on missing on April 15th, 2018. Two days later, Jeannie’s body was found hanging in a wooded area in Abilene, Texas. She had white bags tied to her hands and hard wire around her neck. Investigators labeled her death as homicide and staged hanging. 57 year-old Ricky Don Henderson has been named as a suspect in Jeannie’s case. Ricky was reportedly Jeannie’s boyfriend, and the last person known to have seen her before her disappearance. Both Jeannie’s family members and authorities believe it is very likely that Ricky killed Jeannie, but he has still not been charged with anything related to her death. However, investigators were able to link Ricky to unrelated drug cases from both 2016. Investigators decided to pursue this case and subsequently charged Ricky with distributing controlled substances to a minor. He pleaded guilty to those charges in December 2019 and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Ricky was also linked to another drug case in Hockley County from 2007. He was sentenced to 25 years on those charges. Although Ricky remains behind bars, Jeannie’s family members are still hoping that he will one day face charges for Jeannie’s murder. It appears that Jeannie is not the first significant other that Ricky abused. His ex-wife, Stephanie Henderson, vanished in Hockley County back in 1993–and she remains missing today. Ricky remains the only person of interest in that case as well. District Angela Overman has described Ricky as a “continuing threat to society” and hopes that the suspicions against him will be taken into consideration when he is up for parole. Meanwhile, Jeannie’s family members continue to fight for justice in her case. In fact, Jeannie’s uncle John Quinn went to visit Ricky in prison during February 2019. Ricky agreed to speak with him, and the two met for 30 minutes. John was unable to disclose the details of their talk, but afterwards he told reporters that he felt they were one step closer to gaining justice for Jeannie. Still, a significant period of time has passed since their visit and no charges have been pursued. Investigators are hoping to gain more information that could potentially lead to murder charges in Jeannie’s case. There is a $12,500 reward in place for anyone with information that could help solve her murder. If you have any information that could help the investigation, please call 806-894-3126.

Kathy Netherland (48) and her daughter Samantha Netherland (16) were found brutally murdered inside their Bardstown, Kentucky home on April 22nd, 2014. The two were found by Kathy’s father Norris Hardin, after he was notified that Kathy had not shown up for work. When Norris arrived at their home, he peered through the window and saw Kathy on the floor of the dining room. He ran around back and saw Samantha. Police were called, and first responders immediately rushed to the scene. Both Kathy and Samantha were brutally beaten, and their throats were slit. Autopsies confirmed that Kathy died from several gunshot wounds, while Samantha had been bludgeoned and stabbed to death. The brutal murders of the mother and daughter shocked the community in Bardstown. Those who knew Kathy and Samantha have struggled to understand why anyone would kill them. Kathy was a beloved special education teacher at Bardstown Elementary. Samantha was a quiet, smart, and kind young girl who enjoyed singing in her high school choir. She was looking forward to attending junior prom with her first boyfriend. By all accounts, Kathy and Samantha were great people who were loved by many. Unfortunately, the deaths of Kathy and Samantha were not the only tragedy that the family had faced in recent years. Less than a year earlier, in July 2013, Kathy’s husband Bob Netherland died of colon cancer. This left Samantha and the Netherland’s older daughter, Holly, without a father. After Kathy and Samantha were killed, Holly was left without her both of her parents and her sister. Over the years, there has been a lot of speculation about who killed Kathy and Samantha, and why. Theories have ranged from someone known to them being the perpetrator, to their killings being part of an ongoing series of corruption in the town of Bardstown.
