Jiwon: you owe me about 6 favors at this point
Jiwon: i should collect
Jiwon: but sure
Daehyun: You know that time I was drunk doesn't count, right? Don't remember half of what happened that night.
Daehyun: But anyways, thank you! I'll make it up to you, promise.

Byeol: i mean, moonie does get along with siri so.
Byeol: sure, sure.
Daehyun: Thank you so much, I know it's last minute but I just can't miss this meething and I'd rather leave him with someone that he's already familiar with so Moonie won't feel so lonely.
Daehyun: I'll drop him off in a bit.
Daehyun: Would gladly return the favor and watch Siri for you anytime.

They had done this countless times before, first for his training and after that, as a form of stress relief. Being an especialist on the field Seojun clearly had a lot more experience and that was a clear advantage but Daehyun could hold his own quite well. He offered some healthy competition to the older agent, despite not having yet reached his level. But that night, it was easy to tell his mind was elsewhere. Right now, Daehyun was having trouble predicting what Seojun’s next move would be which made him unable to block it as it came. The blow threw him off and now he had no options left but to block the next ones as he looked for the best way to breach the other’s defence. He needed to come out with an strategy fast or he'd lose the match in the next moments. Daehyun decided to try a combo he'd been practicing on his own, and it seemed to work as he was able to corner Seojun close to a wall, so the other wouldn't have much room to move. But his friend was faster and in the end, Daehyun was sent down to the floor. Sighing, he finally accepted defeat, tapping on the other's agent's arm. “I know I didn't do my best tonight, sorry. Just have a lot on my mind.” @agentaster

Jaejin doesn’t have problems helping out field agents when it comes to more technical aspects of their job. He can clearly remember when he needed the same type of help himself. How was he supposed to talk a big game if he wasn’t willing to help ? So he’s sitting at his computer staring at a map watching as the tracker blinks off and on and off and on again… the agent on the other line of his headset.
Pursing his lips as he listens to the other in the line he cuts them off, time for business.
“The safe is off to the right, we need to move quickly in order for this to work. But I mean all we need to get is a laptop right ? That’s what you said they stored all the info on ?” He asked running a hand through his hair.
Getting inside the venue without any problem had been quite easy, years of experience at being a field agent had certainly helped with that. Now he just had to find the safe and retrieve the laptop that contained the classified files without alerting security. But Daehyun wasn’t worried, he had never failed a mission before and he’d have Jaejin’s help, as the other monitored him from the agency.
His posture was defensive, alert to ant possible obstacles or threats as he walked down the long corridor. “Got it, I’m almost there now.” The agent replied on his side of the line as he took a turn to the right like Jaejin had instructed. “As far as I’m concerned, yes. But guess we’ll find out soon enough.” Was his reply as the CEO finally reached his goal. The safe was visible now, only a couple steps away. “Now, what was the combination again?” He asked, turning on a small flash light to make up for the darkness inside the room.

Jaesun was practicing his knife throwing. One could always use practicing unusual fighting techniques in case they came in handy. And knifes were easy to find in certain missions so it could prove useful. He wasn’t bad at it though considering he had trained it consistely, but in his mind he could always improve. The agent grabbed the knife stuck to the target and walked back to the spot where he had been throwing it from, aiming and throwing the knife again. It hit the middle of the target, causing him to smile. Noticing someone had walked in, his head turned to see who it was. “Hey, are you looking to practice?” he questioned. “If you stand in front of the target for me, I’ll do the same for you.” Jaesun suggested, curious to see if the other was brave enough to do as he dared.
An amused chuckled left his lips as he turned to look at his friend. “I’d rather not. We haven’t reached that level of trust yet.” He teased, walking closer to retrieve the gun he was looking for. Daehyun could already predict that the younger agent would likely complain about him being a buzz kill and tell him to take more risks, that’s how their dynamic worked. “But how do you feel about a shooting competition? Been meaning to practice my aim. Winner pays for lunch?” He suggested, pointing at the targets.

it’s hard to stand still, hands wanting to check out if the other has any injuries while apologies continue to fall from his lips. a hand goes up to run through his hair, leaving it messier than it was seconds ago. the realization that it’s someone he knows comes later, that it’s a field agent, who doesn’t seem that hurt, or upset —- but that doesn’t lighten the feeling of guilt on eunsoo’s chest. however, the words do spray some water to the flames, making him slow down slightly, eyes meeting the man’s instead of looking frantically everywhere. lack of sleep and chugging down redbulls surely didn’t do any good to help him calm down, but he tries his best, nodding and letting out a small huff of breath.
‘true, that’s true’, it echoes in his head, nothing that can’t be fixed. “please send me the bill! i promise i’ll pay for whatever it costs.” eunsoo points out, a sheepish smile on his face and now that his hands aren’t actively fretting over anything, he buries them in his pockets. the question does come as a surprise, reading the text was only a couple of minutes ago, but he didn’t pay it any attention at all once he bumped into ( and poured coffee on ) the unfortunate agent. “uh— i think so —-” he begins, fishing his phone out of his pocket to re-read the message again. sleepless, he might still be fast on his feet, but his mind is almost sluggish when there is more than one thing he should focus on.
"i was going back to the office to finish off some paperwork but — “ a pause, third re-read of the text before he shoves it back into his pocket. "i seem to be summoned as well.” he wonders if this is a mission that needs them to work together, or a general meeting instead. by the sound of things, it seems to be the first, and really, eunsoo chides himself because he has poured coffee over the guy already. “do you know what it is about ?” he lets out first, before he motions to the elevator. “does it say urgent on yours ? do we head up now then ?”
“Good, that’s it.” Daehyun said softly, nodding as Eunsoo followed his instruction and breathed out. “Doesn’t it feel better now?” Being a field agent could be really stressful, i was easy to relate to how the other was feeling. Taking a closer look at him made Daehyun notice just how exhausted Eunsoo seemed. “When was the last time you got a good night’s sleep?” He asked, a bit concerned for the other’s health. As Eunsoo offered to pay for the dry cleaner, he shook his head in a dismissive manner. “Don’t worry about it, my family’s been using the same place ever since I was a kid so I get a special discount there. Besides, it was my fault as well, I was disctracted and didn’t see you coming. If anything, I should offer to get you a new cup of coffee.”
Waiting for the other agent to check the message on his phone, Daehyun looked up at him again as he confirmed his initial thoughts. “Hm, I think it’s probably a mission. Didn’t get many details, just a request to stop at the gadgets and weapons department. My guess is that we’ll be further instructed there. We should probably go check now, yes.” Following Eunsoo towards the elevator, the CEO got in as it arrived and pressed the floor they needed to be at. But he was still a bit worried that his future partner looked too tired for his own good. “The mission could still be set at a later time, though. Maybe they just need to brief us now because of schedule and all.”

“ feet shoulder width apart, ” chunhei’s foot slides effortlessly across the floor to kick the heel of the other, and she can’t help the quiet snort that leaves her as their body stutters from the sudden impact. “ knees slightly bent. ” reaching down, she smacks the student’s knee with the fan she’s holding. “ and for god’s sake stop holding the gun like it’s a dead fish. that’s how you shoot yourself in the–”
eyes dart down to the baby strapped to her chest, and she reconsiders the curse word about to fall past her lips. with a clear of her throat, she resumes pacing circles around the student.
“ don’t lock your knees or flex your leg muscles too hard. square shoulders. shooting a pistol is like doing a dance. ”
Daehyun took a small sip from his coffee as he quietly observed the agent instructing the new recruit. Biting on the inside of his cheek, he kept a small chuckle from leaving his lips as Chuhei criticized the way the other was holding the gun. It brought back memories from his own training days. Only difference was that having had already served in the army before joining Hwarang, Daehyun already had the basics down when he started.
Finally being reminded of the reason that had brought him there in the first place, the field agent walked over towards the pair. “Hey, sorry to interupt but they need you on the tech department.” He spoke softly to the specialist. “If you'd rather finish the lesson first though, I can sent them the message. Was heading there now anyway.”

𝙻𝙾𝙲𝙰𝚃𝙸𝙾𝙽: hwarang hq 𝙳𝙰𝚃𝙴: 20190622 𝚂𝚃𝙰𝚃𝚄𝚂: open
the agent would say he isn’t normally this jittery, or he hopes he isn’t, but that part would be omitted out. unfortunately enough, however, there is no doubting the fact that eunsoo has been burning the rope on both ends for the last couple of days, not getting enough sleep trying to finish up paperwork, and well — coffee is never a good substitute for a night’s rest. it’s the feeling of almost being over that made him stay up the first night, and the same instance the night afterwards with too few cat naps stretched in between. and now, when the clock nears the afternoon, the agent knows he will crash soon if he doesn’t get his hands on more caffeine.
it’s twenty minutes later that he walks back into the headquarters, holding onto a venti americano ( with extra shots ) like it’s his lifeline. his phone buzzes in his pocket, hence the momentary lapse in attention as he hurries back to his office — making him walk right into an unsuspecting soul. the cup of coffee in his hands spill mostly on the floor with a few stains on the other person, and once it all happens, eunsoo is frozen for a few seconds. ( he swears his brain works faster when he has rested properly, really. )
“oh god ! i’m sorry, i’m so sorry — i wasn’t looking where i was going, and i really didn’t mean to —” mere seconds after the collision, words begin falling from his lips in a rush, perhaps too fast for the other person to pick up, but that’s the least of eunsoo’s worries. one part of his mind supplies that he no longer has coffee, ( and that thought threatens to make him cry out of frustration ) — but he pushes that away, feeling awful already that he has ruined this person’s outfit, or oh god — what if they got it on their skin ? “are you okay? please let me take you to the medic — i’m sorry, i’m so sorry, i didn’t —”
Balancing managing his company and working at Hawarang was not an easy task. Being called at odd hours for missions, needing to cancel appoiments without previous notice, feeling so ehxausted at times that all he wanted to do was get on his bed and sleep for two days straight. But Daehyun never complained, he had always been up for a challenge and pushed himself to do his very best at everything he decided to do. Working as a secret agent was exhilarating.
“Thank you, Ms. Kim. I’ll also need you to reschedule the investors meeting this afternoon, next Friday would work better for me. That’ll be all.” Daehyun said to his secretary, sending her a small smile before leaving his office. He had just recieved a text, requesting his presence at the Hwarang headquarters to be briefed on his next mission. Looking down at his phone distractdely as he walked, the young CEO had just turned left on the main corridor when he felt someone bump into him. His temper flared up as Daehyun noticed the coffee stains on his suit, it was a brand new one, this was this first time wearing it. “Keep calm.” He had to reapeat the though on his head a couple times, taking a deep breath to stop from going off on the other agent. Taking the suit off, he examined his white button down shirt to see if there had been any spills there, but luckily couldn’t find any. Was then that he finally looked up to see who had caused all of this trouble. Daehyun’s eyebrows raised in question as his eyes landed on Eunsoo and it seemed like the other was about to have a panic attack.
“First of all, breathe. I can’t understand half of what you’re saying. Second, I’m fine. My suit? Not so much. But it’s nothing that a dry cleaner won’t fix.” Daehyun shrugged. Yes, he was still upset about the stains, but there was no point showing it now. What if Eunsoo was chosen as his parter for this mission? They’d have to get along and trust each other. “Where were you going, by the way? Did you get a text summoning you for a mission as well?”

( seo kang joon, cismale, he/his ) — Welcome back, OH DAEHYUN . I’m surprised you’re still a FIELD AGENT! Congrats ! You’re TWENTY-FIVE years old ? Our agents usually don’t last that long ! :O I see you’ve been given a SIBERIAN HUSKY. Funny how it seems they work harder than you ! Can’t wait for another lovely day of you being CHARMING. Though, if we’re being honest, we really know you’re more IMPULSIVE. Welp, have a good at work, Agent NARCISSUS. I really don’t care ! I’m a robot, I have no feelings.
Hello, guys! I’m Sunny and I had planned to post Daehyun’s intro a lot sooner but being as disorganized as I am, wasn’t able to find the time to actually sit down and write it. Until now, that is. But anyways, I’m really excited to be here and get to know all of your amazing muses and start plotting with everyone! 💜️
— Daehyun was born in Seoul, on April 17, 1994.
— That makes him an Aries with a Moon in Scorpio. “The combination between the Aries Sun and the Scorpio Moon can make the people born under this conjunction very alluring and attractive. Others will be drawn by their coolness and energy.” TLDR: BIG DICK ENERGY
— His father is the major shareholder and owner of a famous automobilistic company and his mother is a neurosurgeon. They were both really busy as he was growing up, Daehyun’s older brother was be the one watching him most of the time, going to school presentations and helping with homework. But it wasn’t like his parentes didn’t care about their kids, when they did get time off they’d make sure to make up for their absence.
— Daehyun has a degree in business, and works as the CEO of his father’s company. Despite what many of his co-workers and outsiders may think, he didn’t get a job in the company just because his dad owened it, he started as an intern and worked his way up there.
— Personality wise, he is optimistic and determined, independent and adventurous. The initiator and leader, not someone to be overlooked or to fade into the background. Extremely capable and energetic, action oriented and self motivated. Dae can be stubborn and has a bit of a temper but he's usally friendly.
— He enlisted on the military really early to get it out of the way – also becuse of a promise he had made with his best friend that they’d serve together – at 18. It was in the army that Dae first heard about Hwarang. Just a few months after being discharged he joined the organization. Daehyun was twenty at the time and trained as a recruit for a year before becoming a field agent. His Husky’s name is Moonie and this is how he looks like: x
Ideas for Wanted Connections:
— Recruits that started at the same time as Daehyun. Maybe someone that used to be close to him in the past but for some reason drifted apart now. Or someone that he still considers a close friend to this day.
— An ex that broke his heart, an now they have to work together on missions.
— Best friend
— A recruit that looks up to him and sees Daehyun as a mentor
