it is not the tools that make the artist, the artist makes the tools
yes I draw on my phone
yes I use my fingers instead of a stylus
the app i use ibis paint
I mainly stick with the default brushes (digital pen) but I'm trying to branch out more
(I use the drawing paper and dirty paper textures)

I'll make a separate post but big happy Juneteenth!!! us black folks are far from freedom as we are still systemically oppressed, but today we celebrate the day where we get a step closer to liberation.
big hearts for black folks out there, especially black trans people who carry the American LGBT movement on their backs yet don't receive much flowers. ily

you've all gotta stop acting like "overweight" is a gentle PC alternative for the word fat and not itself an assertion of the ontological wrongness of being large. Over What Weight Precisely

I don't want anyone removing the erotic undertones of my art despite it remaining body positive and trans/queer positive
yeah I do get people shitting themselves over my depictions of trans guys that represents myself but it's also because of my arts sexual undertones. although subtle or overt, it doesn't make my art less bad or more worthy over hardcore fetish and porn artist and quite frankly I'm getting irritated with the sex negativity in these so called progressive art spaces.

actually speaking of sex negativity it's funny coming across a call-out on an artist because they have a NSFW account completely separate from main and it was a bunch of teens I'm assuming looking to cause trouble.
it's just crazy that people can fucking attempt to ruin your life because you enjoy SEX! it's ridiculous, queer artists can't even have a sex life without some drama hungry losers starting shit.

the infuriating thing is that there is genuinely so much good queer literature out there, contemporary and not, but there is also a sizeable chunk of readers who think that a book only "counts" as good queer literature if it's a) unproblematic, b) contains romance as its central focus, and c) has the characters state their orientation and/or gender identity directly to the audience using socially acceptable 21st-century terms (as opposed to resorting to cowardly tactics such as Subtext and Themes)

my favorite thing about navigating fanfiction is finding a really good one and being all “oh boy this was good, I hope they have more!” and literally every other story they’ve ever written was for like Miami Vice

I'm going to say it. The (word in parentheses) meme is way better for tone indication than tone indicators

I am a progressive white queer creator and here are my inclusive black characters:
- added last minute and contributes nothing to the story except being a token side character
- is straight and or cis because black people are not allowed to explore their gender or queerness
- in a interracial relationship that builds up their white love interest while the black character lacks proper writing
- disposable ex gf/bf
- the aggressive/dominant character that's loud (bonus if it's a woman)
- ambiguously brown
- a cop.
