My baby Qais is one of the 290,000 children in Gaza now on the brink of death. He was injured in an earlier bombing that struck our tent, but we had no money for proper treatment. Now, after weeks of hunger, Qais collapsed and was rushed to the hospital-his tiny body shaking from severe malnutrition. I am terrified. The UN says 14,000 babies could die in Gaza in the next 48 hours. Please, I beg you with all the pain in my heart: donate anything you can to help save Qais.

Even one act of kindness could be the difference between life and death.

This is our reality now:

1. There has been a full blockade for over two months-no food, no water, no medicine.

2. Qais is too weak to cry anymore-his voice, like many others, is fading.

3. We were turned away once for not having money-now we are being starved to death in silence

I am a broken mother in Gaza, watching my child slip away. If I could sell my pain, I would. If kissing your feet or cleaning your shoes would save Qais, I would do it without hesitation. Please-this is not just a plea for help, it is a cry from a dying land. Donate whatever you can. Qais still has a chance-but only if you act now.

Seeing that people have like actually bought the Switch 2 is actually kinda wild ngl. Like Nintendo is incredibly anti consumer and money hungry, it's a luxury to be able to get the actual console itself AND to be able to afford the games nowadays when back in the day, they used to be the affordable ones in the gaming industry.

Like, when I got that stimulus, I bought the Switch Lite, not knowing the current landscape of Nintendo, not being aware that I'd have to pay for multiplayer and thinking I'd just be able to Homebrew at a future point.

Fast forward and I immediately realized, I gotta spend money on Nintendo Online to play online, games from even over a decade ago are still like 40-60 dollars (and newer mainline switch games will be even higher), and then I realized that you can't even Homebrew the Lite cause it lacks certain things that the Switch has so the thing is pretty much just useless plastic that I sometimes play just free to play games on unless I either ship the thing off and pay someone to Homebrew it or buy the Homebrew chip and learn to solder (which would add to some useful technical skills but 😭)

The only time I got to experience Nintendo games were on the SNES and 3DS cause the SNES was bought from someone with a bunch of free game cartridges to go with it when I was a toddler and I at least had two games to go with my 3ds at least at the time and the 2ds was affordable when it was released cause my 3ds started being wonky and sometimes straight up not functioning at all. But at least I could Homebrew the 2ds even tho it technically had less functions than the 3ds unlike with Switch Lite.

Of course I could just emulate but I can't bc ts lags cause I don't have a pc with new specs, enough memory to not overload, or a new graphics card so...I've never owned any Nintendo exclusive game (I had Splatoon 2 but I couldn't exactly actually play it at all without online services.)

I'm jus seeing all these streamers and such that bought the thing and just been like "damn, yall really just folded to the bogus ass shit that Nintendo is on and let them take your money, huh? Would be nice to have money that's that apparently disposable fr"

My name is Shahd, a girl from Rafah, a city that has tasted war and pain since the day I was born. Near the Philadelphi Corridor, life was simple yet filled with love. I dreamed of finishing my university studies, finding a job that would make me proud, and building a happy family with the one I love.

I married Badr, the love of my life. He’s a pharmacist who owned a small pharmacy where he spent hours helping others and easing their pain. Our wedding was modest—no grand celebrations, just love binding us together and hopes for a brighter future.

But war does not let dreams flourish. Just days after our wedding, an order came: "Evacuate immediately!" We left everything behind—our memories, our hard work, our home. Then came the airstrikes. Our house was destroyed, along with Badr’s pharmacy, where he worked tirelessly, and even my university, where I had spent years pursuing my education, was turned to rubble.

We’ve moved from place to place, city to city, fleeing the death that seems to chase us. Now, we live in a tent in Khan Younis. A small tent that barely shelters us from the cold and rain. Badr tries to stay strong, but I see him every night staring into the void, as if asking himself, "Why did all of this happen?"

We’re living in unbearable conditions. Food is scarce, water barely sufficient, and my dream of motherhood is on hold because we don’t even have enough to sustain ourselves. We haven’t had the chance to celebrate our marriage or feel a single day of happiness.

Today, I’m reaching out to you, with a heart weighed down by pain, to ask for your help. We need everything: food, water, medicine, and clothing. We need a chance to rebuild, to dream again, to live a life worthy of our humanity.

Every donation, no matter how small, can make a huge difference in our lives. Every share of our story could reach someone with the ability to help. You are the only hope we have after God.
