I heard this song recently, that goes:
"And it feels like an eternity / since I had you here with me / since I had to learn to be /someone you don't know
To be with you in paradise / what I wouldn't sacrifice / Why'd you have to chase the light / somewhere I can't go"
And it reminded me so bad of Kuina and Kawasemi from Neru's 脱獄 (Jailbreak) :")

the insane experience of missing a fictional character . like you can always go back and reread the book , replay the game , rewatch the show or movie , you can always go back & see them , but you can never experience them & their story for the first time again . its absurd to miss them because they'll always be there , but you'll miss when there were still new things for them to say .
for a small time they were real & growing and changing and you hung onto every new word, but now all they can do is repeat the same story forever&ever & they're not real anymore because you know everything they're going to do. & you miss them. its fucked man...

Man, I saw this explanatory post smth about Live Action Jihye having to "stand out" because she's "separate" from KimCom, hence she has to use a gun. That's so dumb. Why does she need to stand out more than the others do? She's a part of KimCom no more than the others are. She has her Story, her Constellation. Are they deleting that too?
I feel like it's just bullshit excuse. Because it was never about Jihye, but Jisoo.
I truly have no hate towards her, kdramas, or kpop, but I do think sometimes: would they do the same if Jisoo wasn't acting as Jihye?
#rant#LA ORV rant#this is stupid i know#but im just sad that LJH gets this treatment#im sad and angry that orv LA is treated like this#but it feels very frustrating to have one of my favorite novels mistreated? changed?#im not hating on jisoo just hating on the show creator's choices#orv#orv la#orv live action#honestly i would give orv LA a chance but it feels like every news i get gets worse#i wish the LA turned out to be good#I would rather be wrong than want any form of orv to be shit

Recently started out on MH World. I'm a complete noob - not a gamer, 0.1 gaming instinct (from MMOs), zero MH experience prior to MHW (only tried MHFU as a hypercarried burden in two missions vs Khezu).
It's a whole new experience.
I just know I tried to kill one of those big flyers in some forest area and got waterboarded by an entire waterfall after something broke (Hard way to discover environmental traps).
Combo? I don't know, everyone on forums and videos apparently plays on controllers! I don't have one. I spend hours trying to figure out which mouse button I should click. I figure it out somehow.
#this game stresses me out lol#why did i dig my grave like this#i just wanted to learn how to play tbh#the game is p fun and cool tho#who knew i would enjoy this. definitely not me#mhw#monster hunter worlds

Notes on a Non-Human Character I Saw in a Dream – Part ②
He was perched on the shoulder of a well-built young man.
The man was a member of an organization dedicated to the protection, management, and research of mythological creatures — an organization I was also a part of.
In the dream, the man was wearing the organization’s jacket, but I’m sure he would get injured, so in this illustration, I’ve dressed him in body armor with ceramic plates.
#thats cute!!#i like to think the artist saved the guy a couple of bandages#you've helped someone in another universe ^^

Brasol is such a funny ship because as suave and powerful and persuasive as Braun is, if you were to fit these two into a meme template, the one who would drunkenly break down and burn their marriage certificate yelling "Good luck trying to return me without the receipt!" would also be Braun. The fact that it kinda already happened in canon just proves it.

being abused or neglected really makes it clear how many things are skills that nobody really treats as. skills. exercising autonomy is a skill. listening to your body is a skill. resting is a skill. being liked and being loved are skills. nobody tells you how to do this shit because nobody even told me I was supposed to have learnt these things when I was a kid. I kind of just have to manually figure out what makes me freak out and work from there. unfair as shit

my brother tried to pick up a banana to make it look like he was talking on the phone but all the bananas in the bunch came with it and he just looked at me and went “i guess it’s a conference call”

the weird schrödinger's emotion that is "that character death was narratively satisfying and emotionally impactful and ultimately the best way to handle their character arc" simultaneously with "noooo but I wanted them to live :( :( :("

If you're a teenage boy and you're trying to learn how to interact with girls the right way, one of the most important rules is that you can't treat your interactions with the women you meet in the same way that you treat your interactions with your mother.
If you were raised by authoritarian parents, it's very likely that you walked on eggshells to prevent setting them off. One wrong move and they became violent. You may expect that your interactions with your mother will model your interactions with other women.
But around other women, the roles are pretty much reversed. When you're around your authoritarian mother, you have to watch how you act around her in order to prevent setting her off and making her violent, while the worst she has to deal with is not getting her way. But when you interact with women who are your peers, they're the ones who are watching how they act in order to prevent setting you off and making you violent, and you're the one whose worst case scenario is failing to get your way.
When a woman is uncomfortable around you and feels like you're disrespecting her, she's not going to unleash her anger on you in the same way your mother does. She's going to be afraid of you. If a woman says that something you're doing is bothering her but she "doesn't sound serious", it's because she doesn't have the luxury of being able to safely sound serious in the same way your mother does. When your mother is serious, she can strike fear into you by just giving you a threatening look. But you could easily go your entire life without any other woman ever being able to strike fear into you the same way. It's important for you to learn how to take someone seriously without them being able to make you afraid of them.
