IM STILL SICK but that doesn’t stop me from thinking about Alice. also this is typed on my phone as i wallow on my bathroom floor. i make no promises that this will make since.

i'm gonna be honest my impression was that his very.. 'odd' manner of speaking was an act he'd put up when he realized reko was in the group. he obviously, when shocked/scared speaks differently, and that was just.. my biggest clue? he's not focused on what he's saying/doing because he's terrified and it's his normal way of speaking. (for example during failure in hide/seek below. this is.. my favourite line of his where he breaks 'character')

so yeah.

i think he just speaking funky because he wanted to cover for his sister and then realized.. oh fuck im in for the long haul after the reveal because.. wdym he can’t change his speaking patterns.

i know full well this is wrong. i don't care. i think it's silly and adds to his character.

also it adds to his small parallels w/ shin. (hiding your real name to protect yourself/an extension of yourself, and also now changing your manner of interacting with others [speaking specifically here] for the same reason, etc.)(yes, i am calling reko an extension of alice's self. he clearly holds her closer than he does himself and that’s just.. who he is.)
