I should explain the image behind my profile picture.

That is an OC of mine named Thomas Grey. He is partially avatar and victim of The Corruption. He was a physician who came across a mirror in a shop one day, a brass and silver mirror. He purchased it and brought it home since he was just moving in and wanted something nice for himself.

Anyway, days go by and he swears he sees his reflection being odd, just not right, uncanny, like it was watching him. You would think this is a Stranger artifact, but not quite.

He started to feel off himself, under the weather, but didn't suspect anything but a cold. He felt tired, just not himself, like part of him was missing.

One day, his reflection grabs him and trades places with him. This reflection is himself, yes, but the worst version of himself. He'd been split in two, less corrupted version and the worst version. The version in the mirror slowly grows weaker by the centuries, but hangs on out of spite and a desire for vengeance. Alive on his own venom. He wants to kill the part of himself that walks free. He lacks color now except for his eyes.

He can still manipulate stuff, objects, as long as they currently have a reflection somewhere/somehow.

His worse half has no reflection.

The art is by me :)

Wanted to take the corruption as a loss/corruption of identity direction instead of filth/insects.

Avatar of the Stranger who makes not quite right looking animal sculptures. Like, you look at them and think, "Ah that is an animal" but they look like a weird version of what they're supposed to look like. There's something wrong with them.

Avatar of the Web that instead of spider silk uses red string and who has an enourmous bulletin in their bedroom which alarmingly resembles a spiderweb.

(btw this is inspired by an OC of mine I've been rotating in my mind for quite some time)

I love my idea and I’m glad you enjoy it as well.

Slaughter Stranger combo could be just all about music because, that’s their brand.

But I really would love for a vessel that isn’t flesh, maybe brass or something that isn’t made of flesh is the instrument of destruction. Also, just a funky concept. Brainrot spread of combos

Yoooooooooooooooo. A brass vessel would be hella sick. Could really get into the uncanny valley there. 👀

Combos are just so delicious though with so many potential ideas behind them.

Sorry I got to this late! I graduated recently, then got sick for a spell, then my mental health tanked a bit. It's all good now though! :>

Corruption avatar where instead of pus its dyed hummingbird nectar. Who uses it to harm the people around them, attracting insects and the like, and maybe giving it to people who didn’t know what it can do

I hope you know that I am shaking this ask around because it's a pretty neat idea and I love it. It's so gross (positive)!!

do you have any ideas for a Stranger/Spiral avatar?

Would be neat for an avatar of both to be into body mods while also being a tattoo artist. Their tattoos are very well done, but just visually hard to look at optical illusions. :)

Some people are into that kinda thing, so I think they'd be relatively popular.

Would be a shame though if people kept going back to them until they're unrecognizable. >:3c

also they may or may not be made of pure shadow but black cats are notably Just Like That already

ngl, Black Cats really are just pieces of the void, and I love that about them. Easiest way to draw one is draw a vague shape and slap cat eyes onto that. Black cat.

Slaughter and stranger combo can have such cool combos if you want to put a gimmick behind it.

Like i would love for just a hipster who sells vinyl that is just so funky music that makes you dance till you die. As everyone is now new material for vinyl production.
