#23: Trust

Penny barely lies in the main show, but when it happens, it always involves Ruby. The first time she lied was because she didn’t want to loose her new-found friend by letting her know she wasn’t a “fleshy human”, and was globally trying to pretend she was fine (V2C3). The second time she lied was to protect the same girl from Ironwood’s soldiers, after the former had shown her that no matter what was inside her, she was real. (V2C4)

I censor them so the post won't show up in any tag related to their names or in any bb tag. First because I don't really feel like bothering people who follow these tags with nnd xD I ship bb too but I try to respect the tagging etiquette when possible and I know nowadays words alone can pop posts in results. And also to avoid angering the few bad apples from bb who might be angry I'm drawing a comparison between nnd and the canon ship of the show ^^'

Penny's early concepts display several outfits where she strangely possess red elements, most notably on her green outfits. One could wonder if this is a coincidence, or wonder if it holds a deeper meaning regarding her relationship with Ruby, like Ya/ng wearing a purple bandana to represent Bl/ake.
