An Inspiring Story of Passion and Perseverance
As she reflect on her journey as a chess player, She is reminded of the incredible impact of this game has had on her life. From its humble beginnings to its current status as a beloved passion, chess has taught her valuable lessons that extend far beyond the board.

When It All Began
She started playing chess in 2014, during her 6th grade year at Cogon Elementary School. Her teacher encouraged to try the game, as there were only a few girls at school who knew how to play. Little did she know that this would be the start of an incredible journey.
Finding Inspiration and Motivation
Her sister, who is also an avid chess player, inspired her to continue playing in high school. Her passion and dedication to the game rubbed off on her, and she began to see chess as more than just a hobby. With the support of her teachers and family, she decided to join the varsity team in college.
Balancing Academics and Sports
As a college athlete, she learned to balance her time effectively, managing both academics and training. This experience has taught her valuable time management skills, which have positively impacted her academic performance. She learned to prioritize tasks, set goals, and stay focused under pressure.
Playing chess has significantly boosted her confidence, allowing her to engage more comfortably in sports and social events. Through this experience, she developed essential life skills, including discipline, competitiveness, and social skills. Chess has taught her to think critically, analyze situations, and make informed decisions.
Looking back on her chess journey, She's grateful for the opportunities she had and the people who have supported her along the way. Chess has become an important part of her life, shaping her into a more confident, disciplined, and determined individual.

Childhood Nostalgia
Being a kid who grew up in a countryside life, there is simplicity. I woke up early to play with my friends and cousins; we played a lot until sunset. I realized my childhood experiences shaped me into who I am today. Living a simple life without worrying about anything.
