Feel like in an au where neither Garmadon or Wu were bitten by the great devourer they would’ve grown up to be competitive senseis. Like each has their own group of students and everytime one of them has a student that does really well at something the other sensei trains their students at that particular subject until they are equally as good at the thing and the cycle continues

You would correct that a lot of things would not happen if Garmadon left the overlord on the island but I bet the overlord would get his way one way or another. As for the twin-time brothers, perhaps they could fight off Acronix but Krux was already scheming a plan for years. Something might come up.

The Sons of Garmadon cult would probably still form following Garmadon around in secret.

Consider- au where Chen and Clouse have their places swapped. How's Ninjago's history going down now?

Thinking about this all day, here are my thoughts below the cut, as I don’t doubt I’m going to get wordy here !

- Not an entire swap, but instead a mostly-swap. Chen still recruits Clouse & Garmadon as his students, only Clouse achieves the title of Lord instead of Garmadon

- Clouse ends up using this power-high to gain Master Chen’s absolute favor; he edits mail sent for Garmadon to trick him into thinking nobody back home wants him back and that they don’t want him on the Elementals side during the war, he flawlessly gains new students for Chen through the same manipulations Chen used on him, he sabotages the peace treaty talks between the Serpentine and Humans without being ordered, etc. just to earn Chen’s complete and absolute trust while keeping Garmadon on their side purely for his elemental abilities

- Lloyd still ends up being born but that’s a later point

- Clouse uses his newfound trust with Chen to begin pulling the strings behind Chen’s back, something he was unable to do in canon. He manages to convince Chen that his [Clouse’s] ideas are his own, making Chen want to go through with these plans once Clouse calls him brilliant & a mastermind etc etc. Begins to build up the cult not on the basis of becoming anacondrai but working with them as the war rages on far longer than it does in canon

- At this point the elementals are losing and Chen is fading more into the background as Clouse uses his “friendship” with Garmadon and allyship with the Anacondrai generals to boost his status/power (including Pythor, which the two become good “friends”)

- Chen attempts to confront Clouse about this, reminding him he is his student, and Clouse threatens to have him exiled from the Serpentine lands to instead face the Elementals himself. Not knowing it was a bluff due to Pythor backing Clouse up. With nowhere to go, Chen finds himself stripped of his Master status and working under his own student. He tries to branch off and restart his cult multiple times, but is shut down every time

- The war continues raging on, now with the Serpentine winning. Wu & Garmadon confront on the battle field and realize Clouse forged everything and managed to block all other forms of communication between them, but it’s too late to try and stop them all now, as by now the snake flutes hadn’t been discovered to also work on the Serpentine

- War ends in treaty that all elementals must leave the main continent of Ninjago, all humans may stay but have to obey Serpentine rule (Clouse then being crowned as a  Human-Serpentine ambassador, he of course abuses this power— Pythor granted Serpentine-Human ambassador, same thing)

- Garmadon and Misako end up getting together/having a fling while leaving the mainland which results in Lloyd

this sounds really poorly written in bullet points but I promise it makes more sense in my head !! the au would center around the ninja all having grown up together on this elemental island (+ a few of the elemental’s non-elemental spouses) and Wu telling them they were the key to returning Ninjago to how it had been before the war. The Serpentine themselves are NOT the bad guys, it’s more Clouse & Pythor (with Chen not really counting because he’d help the ninja just to overthrow Clouse. Skylor is the only elemental not on the island because she’s Chen’s daughter & has proven useful to Clouse and Pythor). Idk how the AU would end but that’s basically my first thoughts on it.

 It’d maybe end with Ninjago being restored to its original state with the Serpentine holding most of the land & the Humans staying on the lands they were originally allowed that the serpentine can’t live in I think. also clouse & pythor would go to prison as is the cliché w/ all ninjago villains. just locked behind bars.

Hey there! I noticed you mentioned that jay had prosthetics in one of your posts. Mind sharing some of your headcanons or story abt them? Big fan of your work btw keep it up :)))

Honestly I don't really have that many hdc ab it since i recently remembered about this whole Jay hdc and I can never say no to some mecha but here are a few:

• The reason he has a prosthetic arm is due to an accident that happened in his parents junk yard when he was a kid. He made it himself since he knew one would cost WAY too much. Once the team kind of became allies with Borg, Sirus lended him enough technology to make a more suitable prosthetic.

• As for his fingers, since theres no way hes an engineer and DOESN'T HAVE AT LEAST ONE FINGER MISSING, they all had to be replaced at different times. Be it because he was fixing a mech and something went wrong or an aftermath to a fight he was in.

• He draws on the prosthetic all the time and replaces stickers monthly.

Also I feel like his receptors on the tips of his fingers would be numbed due to his powers, since personally i think he uses his fingetips as an outlet to his powers so his whole hand doesn't go shit.
