Hiatus? Goodbye? Idk...

Bad news: my laptop is broken. I can’t even start it anymore. I’m currently trying to get a good deal on a new one but I lost everything. I can’t access the data so all my sims, my cc, everything is gone. I’m super mad. It’ll take forever to re-download a decent amount of cc... and I actually need to get a new laptop first, which might also take forever. It makes me so sad because the holidays are coming up and I would actually have TIME to play :( And even if I manage to get a new PC before Christmas I can’t bring back this family (or any other sim family of mine) because I don’t think I could ever recreate them. This means this is a hiatus for now but it’s also a goodbye cause even when I come back (and I hope that I eventually will!) I’ll have to completely restart. I’m so sad, man! This really sucks!

You’ve adjusted so well to this new life that’s been thrown at you. You’ve only been with us for a couple of months but it feels like you’ve always been a part of this family and, in some way, you have! I love you so, so much! We love you so much! Your siblings are obsessed with you.

You’re especially close with Ronan, though. Maybe it’s because you two are actually related by blood or maybe it’s something else. But you’re helping each other heal and it’s beautiful to see, and at the same time so very heartbreaking because no one should have to go through a loss at this young age.

We’re making the best of this horrible situation, though. And having you with us has definitely been nothing but a blessing so far!

I love you, Winter. To the end of the universe and back!

Happy (belated) Halloween :)

We don’t really celebrate Halloween here in Norway. But the kids love dressing up so of course we let them dress up on Thursday too. Ronan’s boys from his first marriage are currently staying with us and the kids had so much fun! They spent the whole day outside, playing all sorts of games! It was a sucsessful day and it didn’t even involve lots of candy ;D

Moon dressed up as Alice in Wonderland. Morgan decided that he wanted to be a pirate and I dressed little Winter as a fairy... I’m not sure I ever want her to take those adorable wings off again! She looked so, so precious! They all did! Everest dressed up as Robin Hood and Kili as some sort of Prince or Knight... I’m not sure actually, he just wanted a sword :P

it’s unbelievable how much life changes when a new baby enters your world. I’ve done it all before. More than one time actually, but now that you and your twin brother are here, it feels like a whole new experience all over again... and not only because there are two of you! There is something so magical about holding a newborn baby and I’m not sure you can ever get enough of it. I most certainly can never get enough of you and your brother’s heavenly newborn scent!

With three children under the age of one, getting one-on-one time with each child is difficult. But it makes the few moments when it’s just the two of us even more precious. You’re such a happy baby and there’s something very special about you. You have that certain look in your eyes... it’s so, I don’t know, perceptive? If that makes sense? I’m not sure how to describe it. It feels like you look right into people’s souls and you seem to sense what they need. It makes me feel incredibly excited to watch you grow up! I have a feeling that it’s going to be an amazing journey.

But that doesn’t mean that you can’t take your time growing up! Right now, I just want you and your brother to stay this little forever.

We’ve just been spending lots of time at home, adjusting to this new life as a family of seven! But don’t worry, our next vacation is already being planned so it won’t get too... boring around here ;D

You just turned six years old! It’s been six years already since you made me a mom... isn’t that crazy!? I can still remember the day you were born as if it was yesterday. I remember you taking your first steps on a rainy late summer evening. I remember you saying your first word (”moon”) when we were traveling through Alaska.

You changed my life completely six years ago, made my heart explode with happines and love and still continue to do so everyday. Watching you grow into this beautiful little person is my favorite thing the world. You spread kindeness wherever you go and always see the the best in people. You love this world that can be so cold at times with all your heart. You’re funny, creative, humble, polite and absolutely obsessed with animals. Unicorns are currently your favorite thing and you can’t wait to start school next year. You’re pure magic.

This is not the big update post I had planned but I just can’t find the time to write a wordy post right now. As you can imagine, having five children, four of whom are under the age of two, keeps you relatively busy, like, all the time. I’m not complaining, though! But you’ll get those updates in little bits as we go :) 


First of all, I want to introduce you to these two beautiful souls. They were born on September 20 and filled all of our hearts with so much love and joy. Ronan is especially proud that they have dark hair and lots of his features b/c Morgan and Moon don’t really look like him… at all! 


Now you might wonder if you see double b/c those are obviously two babies and we only announced one. Believe it or not, but we only found out that we’re having twins after the big gender reveal (oh yes, we switched doctors immediately! I mean, how can you not see that right away?) and with Winter joining our family, the funeral, my nieces starting school and other family stuff I never really had time to set things straight. So surprise, I guess? :D


Between finding out we were expecting twins and actually having them we, fortunately, still had enough time to prepare for the arrival of two babies and we’re so, so happy now that we have been blessed with not only one but two beautiful and perfectly healthy children.


I’m sure you guys wanna know their names. We had our baby boy’s name picked out for a very long time. Naming our little surprise baby was a bit trickier. But we went with a name that’s as magical as she is… her first name means “miracle of God” because that she is. Both of them are!

Hey there, guys! I’m sorry for being completely MIA these past couple of... weeks? Months? I don’t even know how long I’ve been gone, to be honest. Life has been crazy! Hello and Heisann ✌

I can’t believe these pictures were taken more than three weeks ago!! My adorable nieces, Ora and Olive, started school and we had a huge family celebration. It was amazing. These two were so happy and excited! And even now, after three weeks of school, they still love it and I really hope that it stays like that for many, many years to come.

The first couple of days, my sister had a really hard time adjusting to them being gone for quite a few hours every day. Ora and Olive didn’t go to Kindergarten so it makes a big difference that they go to school now and aren’t at home as much. But it’s all better now. My sister still has two little ones at home with her and those two definitely enjoy the little extra attention they get in the morning ;)

This whole staring-school-thing made me realize, that next year I’m going to be the one who’ll have a hard time adjusting to Rue being gone for school every day. I can’t even think about that now... it makes me all kinds of anxious! I mean, wasn’t she born, like, yesterday!?

Speaking of birth, today is my due date but Baby A still seems to be very cozy in my belly. There are no signs of him making an appearance anytime soon. Everything is ready for him to join the show, though. My bag is packed, Ronan is on call, and so is my sister who will be watching the kids when I go to the hospital. I really hope I’ll get to hold this little man in my arms before the week is over. But we’ll see. And you’ll be first to know when he’s here... or the second... or the third :D But I’ll let you know!

Hello and Heisann ✌

I really thought I’d be better at blogging but every time I sit down to write a post something happens and I completely forget about it. I wanted to write a summery post about our vacation in Austria but now we’ve been home for almost two weeks and I just don’t feel like it anymore. I still wanted to show you this sweet picture of my tiny adventures that I took the morning we went home. I’ll also have a lookbook of their outfits up soon :)

Anyway, I hope to be able to post more again soon. My little nieces have started school last week and we had a big family celebration the weekend before that. Maybe I’ll have time to edit some of those pictures and post them before Baby A decides it’s time to make an appearance, because I’m sure I’ll have even less time to post once he’s here. With that being said, I really can’t wait to meet him. I’m exactly 38 weeks pregnant today and so, so ready to ... not be pregnant anymore :P Let’s just hope the little man doesn’t make me wait even longer than I have to! I’m fine with two more weeks... but not a single day longer :D
