What Dakucon is.

Hello everyone! I just wanted to reiterate after speaking with a few people at other conventions - DakuCon is NOT A PORN CON. We are a regular convention, for ALL things nerdy, that just has a No Children Policy. Us oldies also need a break from the children sometimes! Just to have fun and be ourselves without worrying about a curfew, haha!

Yes, there are 18+ aspects to the con, but if you do not want to partake, you do not have to. We will have a less strict dress code (but still no nudity). There will probably be alcohol (but you still shouldn't be an irresponsible drunk). There may be graphic art on display in the AA/Vendors Room (but not all merch is porn). There will be panels that have sexy time content (but not every panel will have nakeds). Etc. Etc. Etc.

You wanted a convention where adults could be adults, this is it. Now, tell all your friends!

Lodge Deals and Volunteer

I just want everyone to remember, that pre-reg is very important to the con and to people who want save a little money instead of paying full price at the door. So get your pass for $35 bucks! Also if you wanna room with friends you can also do a lodge package for $200 each to save money. The perk of lodge package my dears is, you get a badge, 6 meals for the weekend and vip badge only through the lodge package deal, also you get swag to go with the package deal. Or you can volunteer 15 hours for a vip badge while being a volunteer you will receive a gift as well for all of your hard work. We just want you all to know that we have good offers for you and want you all to have fun!

So just checking in on people, wanted to know if you all wanted a photo shoot list up! So here, we are asking what group photos are you all looking into. So tell us what you guys are looking for, we can make you all a list of photo shoots!

We are getting a lot of questions regarding 18+ attire, so hopefully this will help give some answers. Though we are an 18+ con, we are not 'Porn Con'. There will be both Adult Oriented as well as Non events, panels, costumes, merchandise, etc. you can choose to participate in. We're simply a convention geared for a MATURE audience. When you are on the con floor (which is a separate event space from the rest of the hotel) you must have at the very minimum, bottoms that fully cover your intimate parts - this includes genitals, pubes, perineum, anus and 2'' thick butt crack (Think - can I/should I wear this on a public beach around children legally?)as well as pasties if you have breasts AT ALL TIMES - The LAW still applies and if you want to continue to have adult events, please use your best judgement. No direct outlines of genitalia or nipples and absolutely NO 'slip ups'. //We should not know what your junk looks like//!! Double up if you have to. However if you are going back up to your room, the public space of the hotel, leaving the premises, etc. you MUST cover up appropriately. Think - can I/should I walk down the street in this legally? We are not renting out the entire hotel so there will likely be families and other guests staying. Tops and bottoms please. We will be having a zero strike policy regarding this. If you mess it up, you will be removed from the convention with no reimbursement and you also chance legal repercussions. You don't want to be the one that ruins it for everyone.

There is no limit on 'too much' clothing. You can still wear regular cosplay or no cosplay at all in street clothes. The only limits should be your best judgement on space and walking through crowds of people. Nothing massive, nothing dangerous. Be considerate and follow the rest of our rules as well as all legal laws.

Keep in mind that these rules are guidelines, and we reserve our right to use our judgement if we feel the need to ask you to change/add something. This is not meant to be rude, it is meant to promote things like safety, lawfulness, respect, and the future of our convention. If you're not sure, play it safe, or ask a staff.
