Συχνά ο κόσμος δεν είναι όμορφος, αλλά μερικές φορές χαϊδεύεις έναν σκύλο και σου χαμογελάει, έρχεται ένα γατί και τρίβεται στα πόδια σου, μπαίνει στο ραδιόφωνο ένα τραγούδι που είχες να ακούσεις καιρό, βλέπεις ένα σύννεφο σε ένα σχήμα που κάτι σου θυμίζει, ανοίγεις το παράθυρο και σε χτυπάει ο αέρας, πίνεις την πρώτη γουλιά καφέ και είναι ανέλπιστα καλός, βρίσκεις έναν άνθρωπο που έχετε το ίδιο αγαπημένο βιβλίο και το συζητάτε για ώρες, και για λίγο όλα μοιάζουν να βρίσκονται σε αρμονία.

She wanted a pony

but could not afford one

so trained a loyal guard dog instead.

She wished for a godmother

but one never appeared

so she held her own ball

and danced with an extremely gentlemanly broomstick.

She rummaged for a tiara

but they were only for queens

so she crowned herself with springtime flowers.

She walked to a city with golden paved roads

and the residents told her that she couldn’t do it,

so she looked for herself and found her.
