It’s official now, I have pneumonia. No idea when I’ll be back to modding activities.

Still alive
For those wondering why I’ve completely disappeared from tumblr, I’ve been very sick with bronchitis. It’ll probably be another week before I’m up to my usual activities.

Raze My Settlement Auto-scrap settlements with a click of a holotape button. Ported on behalf of Whisper/bionicyardiff with his permission so it is now available for Xbox and PC users on Bethnet. This is one of the best mods to come out for Fallout 4 in a long time in my opinion. I am definitely sick of scrapping settlements. A mod author friend has created a mod to save us all from having to do it by hand ever again. May all modders blessings be bestowed upon Whisper.

Seriously I got tired of walking to some of these spots, especially the Lexington Rooftop. The perfect mod for lazy raiders.

Got some power armor rides you want to showcase? We’ve got 30 sweet “postwar” paint designs for the ‘Contraptions’ power armor displays. You can even use these displays to repair and pimp out those power armor rides. They have the same function as the other two Power Armor Workbenches. Prewar version available separately. Xbox coming soon.

Custom Icons for Mod Tools
If you’re like me you see the boring icons for things like the F4SE launcher or Archive2 with squinty eyes of disapproval. Here’s a mini tutorial for changing the icon of any application you like (modern Windows only). First you need to get/make an ico file for the icon’s appearance. There’s a handy collection of Fallout themed icons available on Nexusmods.com. I used the holotape icon (icon_55.png) for Archive2.
First convert your img file to an ico file using an online converter (just google png to ico converter for example). Store the ico file where you like. Right click on the .exe of the application you want to change and select Properties. In the bottom center is a button to Change Icon, select that and you can browse to your newly created ico file to select it. Say OK on both screens. You should now see a new icon!
If you want your F4SE launcher icon to look like the default Fallout launcher icon you can skip the creating ico step and go right to the icon changing step. Browse to the Fallout 4 directory (above Data) and select the Fallout 4 main .exe file. It will automagically get the embedded ico file from that .exe and allow you to apply it.

Pride Month
I've seen a lot of folks on Tumblr with various pride flags as part of their avatar. I've been a bit slow in the last two weeks with posting in general and I've thought of updating my own avatar for the month but quite frankly just haven't gotten around to it. (Thanks ADHD). It occurred to me tonight that part of the reason why is I'm not sure which flag to pick. I'm queer, gender queer, polyamorous, and kinky. Not to mention supporting a wide variety of other people's identities. So I guess consider this post the queerest flag you can think of that encompasses ALL THE THINGS. I've been out and proud for the last 24 years. So cheers to all the communities and may our countries improve by reducing hate and improving our rights. May our lives be full of love and the relationships we need. Cheers to all who have struggled with the pain of an unpopular identity and come through a stronger person. Cheers to all who fight for the rights of others. And a moment of silence for those who didn't make it whether through suicide, illness, or violence. We will not forget.

Renaming Loose File Folders
I’m collaborating on a mod with a new mod author and a bug we had reminded me to share this helpful tip with all of you. When you are creating a mod and have packed files into an archive, rename the loose files folder with an underscore at the front. The loose files will no longer overwrite the files in the archive so that you can verify your archives have the correct files. You can see at a glance that you don’t have loose files overwriting because the underscore will sort the folder to the top of your folder list. You can easily remove the underscore if you need to use loose files again for testing purposes. Finally you have the files handy as a backup without having to move them in and out of your data directory.

Wait you mean the game isn’t to throw it into a random new order and start a new game every week hoping that the random new order will magically resolve your conflicts? Cause I think some folks might be playing the game wrong....
did you know that when you buy a bethesda game you actually get an entire second game with it and that game is called "organizing you mod loadout"

I originally made this for myself because I just couldn't buy the fact that while I cryo-slept for two hundred plus years, some radiation addled sod of a mechanic dragged a floor jack around the Commonwealth and removed almost every tyre from it's rim. They then replaced the rims back onto the vehicles and went off to remove the next ones. This mechanic then took those tyres and made little shrines of rubber, scattering them far and wide, rolling these twenty-five to one-hundred kilo hunks of rubber onto the sides of roads, down into rivers, and even out into the wilderness.
