God damn us! We are fucked. I hate my fellow white people. I have no respect for anyone who voted for Trump. We are totally screwed.

Who else loves the irony of any left-leaning journalist trying to suck up to Maga/Fascism? Appeasement is collaboration.

I am embarrassed. I am disgusted. Let the chips fall. Let the lemmings charge over the precipice. If a majority of the American citizens want a kleptocratic, fascist, racist, sexist felon as president: fuck this nation! We are screwed. I can't wait to echo Cassandra. My fellow citizens are morons. Our future is bleak.

I feel totally disgusted. I am embarrassed. This nation is going to be at the forefront of destroying the planet to sustain human life. 2028 is myth. Within the next 4 years, we will have signed our own death warrant. Donald Trump is the catalyst to annihilation.

The feeling I'm left with is profound embarrassment with more than a soupcon of shame that Donald John Trump remains a viable Presidential candidate in 2024. I also have a deep loathing for elected officials who are supporting this toxic degenerate strictly out of ambition. If Dante Alleghieri knew of Lindsey Graham, for example, Dante would have found a particularly nasty antechamber in Hell for this Palmetto Bug.

Rock hard abs, or just a sclerotic liver? I ain't been crunching but I sure been bingin'. Go figure. I don't have the energy. Here's the question: When did youthful idealism transform into cynicism tempered by experience?
I don't exactly remember when I realized that Homo sapiens was destined to extinguish itself from the surface of a truly beautiful planet. I must have been 16 or 17. I went from being a pretty optimistic kid to an old soul who started to think that despite individual random acts of kindness, and collective (albeit on a small scale) efforts to restore a sense of harmony and balance to the presence of our mere existence on our only home, modernity was to be our downfall.

I have reached a point where I will enjoy my life until I die. I won't seek modern medical intervention. When it's my time to exit, I will willingly go. Fuck the medical industry. Fuck the concept of profiting from people's misfortune. Fuck Big Pharma. Fuck actuarial tables.

Hey Dubbya, salvage your atrocious legacy and make a statement in which you denounce Donald Trump. This is the least you can do.
I realize you are a painter and a gentleman farmer. I think you have talent as a painter. You also have the bully pulpit as a twice elected American president. Do the right thing.

The Hyatt Hotel at the Wharf in the District of Columbia should actually be called "Vertical Motel 2.5." The best thing about it was the close proximity to the Anthem Theater. The Continental breakfast was a distant second.
Sure, we weren't kidnapped, and the bed linen was clean, but it wasn't worth the $375 for a one night stay we paid using TripAdvisor. The attention to detail was sorely lacking. I have stayed in hostels that have been more accommodating.

All religion is fiction. If these allegorical lessons help someone live in harmony with neighbors, strangers, and the natural world, then fine. If religious fiction is used to divide and persecute, as it has since our nomadic past, then we are perhaps best served by programming AI to help our species survive...or become extinct.

Satan paid ten people to vote for the Rapist/Traitor/Grifter/Malignant Narcissist in the DC Republican primary. 676 votes gives one the illusion that Mephistopheles isn't left holding the bag.

I once saw Sissy Spacek in Charlottesville. She was grocery shopping. I wondered what she and Sam ate, but I was too intimidated to look in her basket. It seems that sometimes star power overwhelms mere curiosity.

Why would any sane American citizen cast their ballot for Donald Trump? I wasn't alive when Adolf Hitler came to power, but let us be reminded of George Santayana's famous dictum.

Alun Armstrong is a talented actor. I love English character actors. Roger Allam is another actor who dominates a role while simultaneously enhancing the storyline.
