The difference is those have never been passionate dreams of his though, I think he even said he thinks directing is really difficult? He leans more towards practicing writing. The producing is not geared towards a specific goal the way his acting is. I agree that he could shift gears towards theater again for a Tony, and TV for an Emmy—I can’t see a Grammy. But again, the Oscar is kinda the actor’s peak achievement, the pressure he puts on himself will drop hugely after that. It’s the award everyone talks about. Regardless of any new goals he makes for himself, once he gets that award, the hunger to win will no longer be what it is right now. Even if he’s only carving out an extra 10% for his normal life.

I feel like Sebastian won’t rest until he gets an Oscar, and then, and ONLY then, will he allow himself to enjoy his life. More career collaborations will open up, he’ll be contractually paid more for his status, and there’s nowhere higher to climb. The method acting and extreme roles almost look like a version of self-punishment, pushing himself further than he would if he wasn’t still trying to prove himself. It’s def gone up a notch in the last few years. So when he finally gets there, I could see him finally behaving more normal again after everything calms down. He’ll be thinking of more goals for himself. PR will matter way less too.

I use to wear my hair straight because of ballet- like the classical style… my hair was so damaged - it wouldn’t curl and then in my first year of Uni- I shaved it all off and it grew out naturally again.
