I CANNOT STOP THINKING ABOUT A NOTHING-BAD-HAPPENS JJK AU. haibara doesn't die, geto doesn't defect, yuuji never eats sukunas finger and is brought into the jujutsu world normally. IMAGINE (⁠〒⁠﹏⁠〒⁠)

gojo and geto would be the strongest together. they'd teach at tokyo jujutsu high together. megumi and tsumiki would have playdates with nanako and mimiko growing up. AHHH.

shoko would be suchh a good aunt. i think they'd all (the season 2 jjk group now adults) be wayy closer in this au. she'd totally sneak them candy and stuff even if geto said no. because let's be honest, gojo could never say no (⁠ ͡⁠°⁠ᴥ⁠ ͡⁠°⁠ )

nanami and haibara would lovee to babysit when the strongest duo are busy on missions and i think haibara and the girls would have so much fun with tea parties and barbies. nanami and megumi would play along, but both of them would probably run to watch sherlock on the television instead the minute the girls look away. and of course uta, mei mei (let's pretend she's nice here just a slightly money hungry diva) and shoko would take the girls out for girls nights (geto definitely joins them sometimes, because, hey, his hair needs a salon finish too!). megumi would join haibara, nanami and gojo in whatever adventure gojo forces them into. sometimes, when nanami gets even a bit of a say, it's something normal, like watching a movie or going bowling. the other times... once gojo rented out a private yacht and took them sailing for THREE whole days without telling anyone other than shoko.

stop and like when she accidentally falls asleep on the bean bag, he simply lifts her up, places her in the armchair — she's small enough to fit, and he knows she'd be awkward if he put her in the guest bedroom, or worse, let her have his bed for the night — and just pauses for a moment. he knows what falling asleep around someone else implies. safety. she feels safe. unguarded. he's glad.

he gets her a warm blanket, making sure she's covered all around, bookmarks the page she was reading for her, and sweeps her hair off her face. turns the lights off, and lets her rest.

maybe he'll make pancakes for breakfast tomorrow. yuuji had mentioned to him once that nobara loves them, loaded with blueberries and whipped cream.

at some point, he just brings her new books from his home library to borrow and read through every week. he has little pencil drawn notes in the margins, and nobara won't lie and say they don't entertain her. she reads through the books, putting some notes of her own. its an even exchange, because she always finds him around tokyo jujutsu high once she's done and sits him down and rambles about what she thinks of each book.

he lets her come over sometimes. he has two chairs in his little home library, an armchair and a beanbag. he sits in the armchair, all formal, reading through either the newspaper or some new book he picked up. she curls up on the beanbag, reading, enjoying the quiet — much better than reading in yuuji, gojo and megumis noisy company.

when asked about it, both say its not friendship, or family, just shared interest. lies thats his daughter now

Hey, I love your headcanons! Saw your post encouraging us to dm you and think about jjk… So here I am. Do you have any headcanons about nobara-yuji-megumi going on a roadtrip together? In my head Megumi is the one that drives the most, and they joke about not trusting Nobara to drive, but it's (mostly) just to annoy her… So yeah, any thoughts on it?

yes ur completely right abt megumi being the designated driver. he's the only one who can handle a wheel without panicking at every intersection — and he even knows how to parallel park. gojo for ijichi to taught.

yuuji can drive, i think, he just gets so bored and its so tedious that he doesn't like to. he'll take over shifts if gumi's too tired, but otherwise, fushiguro's got the wheel.

you're right abt them not trusting nobara to drive. my girl CANNOT drive. she just goes SO fast and she's so rash with it 😭 yuuji's gripping onto the door handle for dear life and megumi's ready to jump out. she sucks at turning, and sucks at parking and just sucks at driving. will always deny it too, but the other two know better. they care about their lives, so nobara stays farrrr away from the driver's seat where they're concerned. they joke about it with everyone else too, but deep inside, EVERYONE by now knows she can't drive 😭😭😭 she gets so annoyed by all the jokes but its true.

the road trip itself would be fun. for most people. megumi's always looking straight forward, hawk eyed. yuuji's in the passenger seat, since his legs are too long for the back, and nobara lowk lays down in the bag, bags on the floor if not the trunk. yuuji and nobara are talking the WHOLE time — yapping twins fr. megumis silent, nods in agreement or shakes his head here or there, adds a witty comment maybe. he's used to gojo and tsumiki yapping the same way, learnt how to respond efficiently without wasting his breathe. the other two (lacking the same familial experience lolol) do the opposite, tiring themselves out by talking and talking. they keep falling asleep in sync. megumi thinks its adorable. maybe even slows down a littlee bit to snap a pic. won't ever tell them, but its one of the lockscreens on the new iphone gojo bought him.

nobaras got music privileges. megumis music taste — all metal and emo kid stuff, of course! — is too intense for the other two, and yuuji has got too much of a loser music taste. nobaras got it right. she listens to cool kid music (according to her). expect lots of white girl music, LOTS of clairo and laufey beabadoobee and of course, rnb girlies — sza, kali uchis, summer walker, jhené aiko, etc. yuuji knows all the lyrics to her favorite songs by heart, and megumi pretends like he doesn't. nobara allows yuuji to play a movie soundtrack occasionally, and megumi gets to play mcr or midwest emo if nobara feels nice. but otherwise, the sound system is all hers — the boys can never say no to their best girl, of course.

snacks are always loaded where yuuji is concerned, so you best believe they're stocked up for the road trip. chips (kale, for nobara) bonbons, cookies — all junk, if you've gathered so far. nobara rolls her eyes and sneaks a bit from him mid-chomping her protein bar. megumi will shamelessly put his hand back — dad style — everytime he hears a packet rustle. yuujis got ALL of gumi's favourites. will pretend to like cola flavoured gummies so he has a non-sappy reason to buy them. hates them. megumi loves them.

its fun, though. any road trip they're on. maybe because of megumi's careful, dedicated driving, or nobara's amazing music taste, or yuuji's elite snack selection. or maybe just because it's the three of them. like always. everything's fun with the three of them.

i 100% think nobara trained yuuji to take the perfect pictures. everything instagram story that she posts EATS with no crumbs left behind and yuujis behind it all. chooses the best angles, doesn't mind bending or even laying down to get the perfect shot — he's dedicated. he's studied her pinterest saves and all her inspo. a man on a mission, to get the best fit and food pics. he even helps yuuta and maki with their pics — because i know for a fact yuuta has a perfectly curated aesthetic instagram feed.

hi guys do you think yuuji ever got sick and wished for his grandpa again. picture this: hes got a 105 fever, head burning up, hands clammy, he's shivering despite having two blankets around him, and he's delirious all around. someone places a wet rag on his forehead when he whimpers. he calls for his grandpa. yuuji just needs his grandpa. because that's what the older man always told him. no matter what happened, yuuji would be a-okay, because his gramps always got him. it was fine if he didn't have parents, or many friends either, because he had his grandpa. yeah sure, he was sick and everything hurt, but grandpa would make it fine. he wants to be in his grandpa's arms again, even if he was now bigger and stronger than the older man would ever be. the bed was warm and the pillows were soft, it was nice, but he'd like to move from his room to his grandpa's tatami.

nobara, a little starstruck, doesn't know how to tell sick out-of-his-head yuuji that he's in the dorms and his grandpa is long gone.

sukuna, realistically, probably wasn't much of a help. probably told him to shut up, to quiet those thoughts down. told him it was bothering him up in yuuji's brain, to hear his constant inner turmoil. tells him he'd prefer another body, one that annoyed him less, preferably fushiguro's. even that kugisaki brat would be less of a nuisance.

but id like to imagine there's a chance sukuna was a little kinder. maybe not out of pity, or kindness, but out of convenience. id like to think that with the power he has over yuuji's body, he either turns it off, putting the boy to sleep, or even silences the other voices in his head. rambles on about something something curses this and jujutsu sorcerers that, but it quiets down yuujis brain. he sleeps heavy that night.

maybe sukuna even listens in beforehand. scoffs, and tells yuuji: "brat, the king of curses is using your body as a vessel. you really think any sorcerer will be able to snatch you away in the middle of the night, or even hurt you at all? i ain't that weak." its still threatening and there's no gentle in sukuna's tone. but it soothes yuuji's nerves. slightly. just enough to take the edge off and grant him a little peace of mind.
