In honor of Ace Week and in light of the news from earlier this year,

I am here to announce that I personally believe Perry being (g)a(y)ce is what saved the day in “Quietest Day Ever.”

Like, when Doof first gets turned supremely handsome, Perry is clearly taken in by his aesthetic appeal and follows him around in an awestruck manner.

However, the citizens of Danville are all noticeably more proactive in their behavior towards handsome!Doof,

and Doof’s handsomeness alone isn’t enough to override Perry’s sense of justice when it becomes clear that he’s going to use this newfound edge for Evil purposes.

Speaking as an asexual person myself, i’ve had times when I thought some guy was good-looking, but then immediately went “Hmm, never mind/no thanks” after learning he was awful whereas other people were still like “I know he’s bad, but he’s sooooooo hot”–I feel like something similar happened in this episode.

So many Phineas and Ferb albums and they’ve never released the score. And when every Perry musical sting is so delightfully melodramatic.

It is a near crime to withhold this from the people.

say what you will about P&F, but they were so fucking real for this. I just know disney was constantly breathing down their necks to give perry a girlfriend and they stood their ground the entire time. they were so based for that.
