EP014: Electric Shock Showdown

No sooner had they made it home, and Alister had [potential spoilers redacted], than Master Dartz summoned Rafael to the altar room.  His boss’s back was turned to him when he entered the room.  As usual, Rafael knelt at the top of the steps, remaining silent until given further instruction.  Though Master Dartz was aware of his presence, he didn’t turn around to look at him or even acknowledge him at first.  Instead, he gazed into the flames for what seemed like hours. 

“It appears that young Alister has gotten himself into some trouble,” he finally said.

As [context redacted], Valon maintained both eye contact and his grip on Alister’s hand.  He kept up a chatter in soothing tones.

“The weather’s supposed to be pretty nice over the next few days,” he said.  “Not too hot, at least not for Miami.  There might be thunderstorms tomorrow morning, but we ain’t gonna be spending much time outdoors anyway, are we?  Oh, and I should warn ya, when you can eat again, don’t get a sandwich from the café.  I had, well, the label said it was a club sandwich, but you know how if there’s a bunch of turkey and not enough, what’s the word, the topping thing?  Condiments.  Yeah, turkey can be really dry without that.  And they had these tiny packets of mayonnaise, and I used like five of them and it still wasn’t quite enough, but I stopped there because I didn’t want the other people to think I had some sort of, y’know, mayonnaise fetish or anything.  And don’t get me started on the coffee…”

I saw some snippet of a callout post for an autistic trans woman where they list social faux pas she committed, and I think we allistic people should all feel 100x more ashamed of not telling people in the moment how we feel about what they're doing. I think its extremely evil and cruel to not only lie to an autistic person and blame them for it but also to feel justified shaming them for your behavior. And it's currently the social norm to do that

Funny that Anon should mention that, since in the Short Story I’m currently writing, Mokuba makes a cameo appearance of sorts.

i'd like to imagine Mokuba contacting&interacting with Alister after all the Doma situation is over. The idea of Mokuba being friend with Alister, caring for him, supporting him makes me so happy.

Is this a likely story? Or just a Alister-stan's daydream? I'm curious about your thoughts 👀

(It's been a while since i read Come Together, sothere's a chance that this topic might has been mentioned in the fic. If it was discussed, i apologize for my forgetful memory.)

You're totally fine, friend! The topic hasn't come up yet in "Come Together" though Kaiba himself has been in there.

I feel that Mokuba certainly would reach out to check on Alister. He had a powerful story and tragic circumstances, some of which would resonate with Mokuba. If Mokuba has enough compassion to reach out to Noa, even after all Noa did to him, I'd imagine he'd do the same for Alister.

However, Seto most likely - and understandably - wouldn't allow Mokuba near Alister unsupervised, if at all. He does not necessarily forgive, and he most definitely does not forget, anyone who's endangered Mokuba before. While he's sympathetic with Alister to an extent, showing him a courtesy he didn't afford anyone else who'd attacked him (he literally could have passed Alister off to someone else to carry, or left him in the plane, but instead he carried Alister out of the plane and took care of his soulless body), he definitely hasn't forgotten that Alister tried to kill them before.

TLDR: It's certainly plausible, but it'd take a lot of groundwork to be laid out between both Seto and Alister before Alister could be trusted to be alone with Mokuba.
