Boots, Hats and Horseshoes
Boots Hats and Horseshoes (close up)Boots Hats and Horseshoes (back)Boots Hats and Horseshoes (front) The pattern in this quilt reflects his love of horses, rodeos and cowboy clothes. By the time I finish a memory quilt, I feel like I have gotten to know the person. When the series of quilts are picked up, there are always tears of joy and memories. This makes my job so worthwhile!

Steam Punk Halloween
Steam Punk Halloween (close up)Steam Punk Halloween (back)Steam Punk Halloween (front)ab Fun and whimsical is this steam punk throw quilt of mine. I found a geared quilting pattern that give this great texture while allowing the panel, piecework and fabrics to show through. Is this considered a Halloween quilt or can I use it right now?

Holiday Harvest
Holiday Harvest (close up)Holiday Harvest (back)Holiday Harvest (front) When I am gathering info for the memory quilts, I ask about favorite colors; both from the person from the clothing doner and the intended recipient of the quilt. In this case, gray is the favorite color of the doner so I used gray fabric in the sashing and binding. Subtle but powerful!

Turtle Curls
Turtle Curls (close up)Turtle Curls (back)Turtle Curls (front) The turtle quilting design was picked because the nick name of the son for this quilt was turtle. It is heartwarming that every detail is full of memories even if you and I can see them from the pictures.

Copy Cat
Copy Cat (close up)Copy Cat (back)Copy Cat (front) Bright colors and cat quilting are featured on this second quilt in the denim memory quilt series. I was told that the father always wore denim so I used a denim fabric for the backing of each quilt. Combined with gray colored bobbin thread, the quilting design stands out and looks fabulous.
