There's something about this style - which I noticed in your Chapter 2 dumpster animation - which brings to mind late 1990s/early 2000s pre-anime-influence 2D U.S. animation (e.g., Osmosis Jones, which probably isn't the best comparison but is the example I've seen most recently).

I think it's the subtle rounded feel without trying to be cute and the use of line weights.

Oh, this looks like a scene from a movie. I particularly like the glitch effect and the dumpster lid animation. Of course, the animation of the characters themselves is impressive, but the glitch effect and dumpster lid animation is the sort of thing most people wouldn't even notice, so I appreciate the attention to detail.

@faewhisker: I've never heard those words used in that way, and yet immediately understand the meaning. Does "pathos" capture the meaning in literary terms? Perhaps it's too broad.

Deltarune has given us a lot of striking images, but Susie touching Ralsei's face in a gesture of forgiveness and leaving a bloody handprint on his cheek because she punched a stained-glass window might just take the cake in terms of getting thematically freaky with it.

Indeed. I, too, thought this Cuptain was very helpful. Since it took me 15 tries to defeat the Titan (I didn't have the Shadow Mantle), and I think I didn't use up all my healing items on the final try, that Cuptain must not have known just how vital it was in saving the world.

I wonder if we as a fandom would refer to this Cuptain by a special name....Treasure Cuptain, perhaps?
