TW for mention of Suicide by ch4! Don’t want any unwanted discomfort! Also spoilers for trigger happy havoc incase you haven’t played :3

So here’s the deaths and executions of each chapter. Btw! Motives will stay the same maybe with a few changes.

Ch1: Leon (Killed by Monokuma after he attacked him once he saw the motive video), Junko (victim), Sayaka (murderer)

I really just shifted the fates of the ch 1 characters. I count killed by monokuma as different from the normal victim role.

Ch2: Byakuya (Victim), Toko (Murderer)

Instead of Mondo killing Chihiro, Toko kills Byakuya out of desperation to keep her secret of being Genocide Jack safe.

Ch3: Yasuhiro (Victim), Aoi (Victim), Hifumi (Murderer)

The money motive doesn’t end up working so instead monokuma reveals Sakura as the traitor. Everyone but Pax and Aoi are against and don’t trust her. Aoi uses Alter Ego as leverage for Hifumi where he kills yasuhiro and suspects Aoi will double cross him so he kills her. Tbh this is very much a work in progress so it’s subject to change.

Ch4: Sakura (Victim), Pax (Murderer)

Sakura is distraught at the loss of her friend and everyone still distrusts her. So she decides to die out of resentment for the group. To do so she devises a plan to have Pax be declared the murderer while masking it as suicide.

Ch5: “Mukuro” (Victim), Makoto (“Murderer”)

Why the quotation marks? Well it’s bc obviously it’s not really Mukuro (Reused Junko’s corpse) and Makoto doesn’t actually kill her. However, Alter Ego never stops the execution so Makoto actually dies. Kyoko becomes the protagonist.

Ch6: The Ultimate Despair Mukuro (Executed)

Kyoko shows evidence of Makoto’s false conviction and gets a retrial to uncover the mysteries of the school and unveil the mastermind. They discover it’s Mukuro and hear her reasoning and counter it to make her realize she’s no better than those she sought to punish with the tragedy. She opts to execute herself and let the others escape.

Epilogue: Survivors are Kyoko, Mondo, Kiyotaka, Chihiro, Celeste

Ok so the most original thing about this AU, My OC! His name is Pax Hoffner and he is the Ultimate Psychologist. Most of my OCs are inspired by me (Yeah yeah basically self insert). I wanna be a psychologist and I think psychology is cool so hence the talent. Trust me, if you think it won’t get cringier, it probably will. So.. he’s an exchange student from over sea. I know! I know! How typical of a self insert. However! It’s confirmed that Hope’s Peak isn’t completely against transfer students. Take Sonia Nevermind for example. Yes she is a Princess but still a transfer! How i perceive the language of the characters is that in universe they’re speaking Japanese but we get to read it in English. (I should mention I’m using the Localization in America bc I’m using the 1 2 Reload game on PlayStation for info) So Pax got tutored by an Ultimate Linguist. That’s my explanation as to why he is able to speak and understand everyone. He would feel out of place amongst this class of elite Japanese students. So that immediately gives bonding opportunities to Pax and Makoto! Also, like me, he’s pretty gay. That’s 100% his ch2 secret and he just doesn’t care because he doesn’t hide it too much. Openly admitting Byakuya is attractive but wildly toxic. (Silly lil quarrel with Toko lol). I may have something between him and Makoto but it may stay in Free Time Events with only subtle hints in the story. Speaking of which, I’ll be working on 5 Free Time Events for him as well!

Now for his role in the story. I thought of the idea of him being a group therapist for anyone who needs it. Anyone can come to him at anytime for a session. Also after a murder he will talk to everyone to get alibis, clues, and psyche evals. He makes sure everyone is ok and prepared to investigate. I’ll have him start squeamish to blood and gore but decide he needs to power through after ch1. He reads into serial killers and tries to dig into their reasoning and decisions. This allows him to have deeper knowledge that others on Genocide Jack. Kinda important due to some changing of deaths later on.

That’s all I can think to share about him so if I think of anything else I’ll make another post!

Oki so I feel like I gotta set my ground rules for my AU.

First off, I’m going to try to only reuse one killer, victim, or survivor. For example I could have sayaka still be the victim of ch1 but then I can’t have chihiro, kiyotaka, hifumi, or Sakura as victims.

Second, I need to implement my extra character in a way that fits easily without feeling to invasive. Basically I don’t wanna give him MC vibes

Third, I wanna do one major swap of two characters. For example this could be swapping Kyoto and Byakuya as antagonist and support.

Fourth, I will try to write the murders and executions to the best of my abilities. I’m no psychologist or mystery writer so an execution or murder may seem kinda dumb.

None of the examples I’ve given are what I’m planning to use though. I’m still wondering if i should lay out my full outline or let it reveal itself as it would in the game. I won’t do full dialogue and essentially my own visual novel. Just good descriptions of the events.

Howdy! Welcome to Danganronpa: Distorted Echos! (Still working on the name)

This blog is mostly to get this little Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc AU I’ve been workshopping for a couple months now out there. I hope people will enjoy it!!

Now, I’m nowhere near a great writer and this is my first time doing anything like this but we all start somewhere right? So feedback on anything i write is greatly appreciated! Just try to be nice about it :3

I’m not just imagining if the events in THH happened a bit differently though. I’m also adding an OC into the mix for funsies! I plan to make one major role swap and change the fates of almost every character. I will try to only keep one victim, killer, and survivor the same throughout this ordeal.

Anywho I’ll do my best to keep at this and see it till its conclusion! There probably won’t be much art (unless it’s my poor drawings or mediocre Gacha characters) until I can get better at drawing. I’ll be working at that over the course of the summer though!
