Most of them i have only little initial doodles of - I've shared a few of them here already without anybody knowing hehe.

Would you ever consider making character adopts? You have such a way with design, and I'd kill to own something you've made

I have done adopts in the past, but it's been forever. Maybe sometime in the future! One time I did some quick design sketches inspired by the stuff from this old post that I could tool into adopts one day. Who knows!

What's your character design process? How do you come up with designs, bcuz I LOVE!! your character designs!

I've talked about this for a few released characters in this tag here! But in general, it really depends (like, if its personal, for a project, for an rp, or how i get inspired initially). I am also like, a huge proponent of like having them cook a little bit in the oven by doing an initial design - drawing them for a while and getting more comfortable with what im doing - and then every character ends up changing slightly the more and more you draw them.

Are there any unused characters that you came up with for the SD cast but didn't end up adding them?

So there are actually two who late into my cast planning I cut because I just felt they weren't really strong or adding something I wanted. The stronger of the two I have a very basic sketch and a veeery basic blurb about.

Nemu - SHSL Sleep Therapist - Claims to be a magical girl who uses powerful spells to put people to sleep. Started out as a cuddle cafe employee, but word spread quickly that even horrible insomniacs could sleep soundly on her lap she began to be marketed as "Magical Sleeping Girl Nemurin". Many called her therapeutic and lead Nemu into considering her future career as a Sleep Therapist.

(Casts a spell saying "Pipo Pipo Pi po" or some other combination of those, says in human reality it has an ASMR effect on top of magic. ) "I"m a mystical entertainer! Like Harry Houdini!" - Her

The other character was a male Detection Dog Trainer (dogs who sniff out cancer inclined).

Hi Hi! How do you name your characters, I love this project so much! :)

Answering both your asks in one! Personally I focus on a couple different things and one may get priority over the other in my finalized name choice depending on the character and the overall vibe and what I want to say with them. 1) The flow - A name that rolls off the tongue can be very memorable! You see this done a lot in comics / cartoons with alliterative names (ex; Jenny Jenson) - its a quick and easy method to make something with a flow... But, it can sound a bit corny on occasion. There are other ways to get this same alliterative feeling though, for Japanese names you can do this by matching syllables or having rhyming syllables - take TenMI ChohoJI as an SD example, the rhyming ones are at the end - but this doesn't always have to be the case. With Japanese characters you should also take into account that their name would be read last name then first too (I always think about how any of my characters names sound in either order regardless because of this.) 2) Meaning - I think this is usually one of the less important aspects to me, which I know for many people it isn't. Realistically (so don't feel tied to this because we are writing fiction) not every couple of parents are naming their kids to instill meaning, but it can be very fun to have little puns or hints about your characters personality / story / etc through the name! Hiruko is a good example for this because her name's kanji (蛭子) is basically 'leech girl'. There are many good websites available for checking on kanji but I recommend Jisho - if you know a kanji you want to work a name around, rather than making up something random, you can search the kanji you want to use and follow it with #names in Jisho's search. You'll be given a list of personal and place names like the example search below.

If you're making a character with a Japanese name you could also go a completely different route with regards to name meaning and give them a KiraKira ('DQN' in meaner terms) name - there are several sites which catalog these but most are only in Japanese. I've used this one for a long time now. I thought I'd have a third bullet by now but I'm at the end and feeling like I've explained a lot but if you need further help anon feel free to be more specific!

So one of the two main things that inspired his whole gimmick for me were actually Museumize's Bosch mini collection and being like 'why isn't there anyone making marginalia art toys' -- So probably somewhat like that! I do plan to have several small original designs (some which I already have drawn but I will not spoil ;]) that will appear within the story though.
