Tsubasa knew full well what that thing was. It was yet another monster, and if she didn’t get this older stranger to flee the area, it could end up hurting the innocent brunette. Tsubasa stood between the creature and the taller girl, staring it down intensely.

“I’ll be fine! Please find somewhere safe, Miss!” She tried assuring the other female, hoping she wasn’t the type to stick around battles like these. It was pretty obvious that the situation was perilous, at least to Tsubasa.

Nagisa’s head was screaming for her to listen to the girl and run away. But why wasn’t the girl before her running? Why didn’t she show an inkling of fear? There’s a strange monster--one Nagisa has never even imagined--who looked hungry for two schoolgirls. And yet, she’s the only one trembling with terror?

“You have to come with me!” Nagisa protested. She reached a shaky hand out and touched the blonde on her shoulder lightly. “I can’t leave you here with th--that thing. Let’s run away together while we can! We can get help l-like--like the police! They’ll know what to do!”
