Rather than being depressed about Brian Wilson, I'd like to celebrate the fact that someone with such severe mental health struggles made it to age 82. I saw him perform about ten years ago and he seemed a bit out of it, but really happy to be there. I remember at one point the crowd erupted in applause and he looked confused and went "You're... clapping for me? I can't believe you're clapping for me!" which of course made everyone cheer even more.
You made it, dude. You had a long hard road but you made it all the way to 82, and people never stopped wanting to clap for you and your music.
