(Music set before making the music) All sound effects are made this includes: Player sounds: Jumping Shooting Damage Death Walking Running Game sounds: Music Enemy sounds: Damage Death All effects were made by changing, distorting and from scratch sounds, the music is a multitude of syths edited in a string of rhythm. I was unable to get a recording of the process was corrupted and so I was unable to share it, however the music and so on is still available to listen to through saved files on multiple computer and a server at college.

Ableton

To make the music I will need a programme, luckily for me my step-dad is a DJ and so he uses the music software and hardware of Ableton, ableton is a music creation software where sounds can be distorted, elongated and edited along with the creation of my own sounds, with this in mind I will have to ask to borrow it and learn the basics, with the research of chip tunes fresh in my mind, I am able to proceed with this idea.

Robots (On the rude side)

Bender:

Bender is the main robot in the animated series Futurama made by Matt Groning.  the Robot is an alcoholic and uses it as his fuel source  the name Bender comes from his Product line which is the simple task of bending girders into shapes for construction, aside from this Bender is the only Unit we see along with his Twin Flexo. The both are very human in the sense that Bender will try to steal everything with the main goal of destroying all humans, unfortunate he is unable to so he is stuck with the Planet express crew, while being a robot he has emotions  but they are more anger, depression and more.

Gir:

Gir is a defective SIR unit from the Nickelodeon show Invader Zim. The robot is as said defective and the two Zim and his helper unit Gir attempt to conquer Earth the only Reason that Zim and Gir were sent to Earth is to be as far away from the colony of invaders as possible and earth was the only exscuse to send the two there. Gir is small and dumb, he uses a dog costume to hide his Alien origin and like pretty much everything never trying to help Zim.

Change is Good

During the boring look at day of the dead and struggle of asset creation, I am deciding to change the project up, listening to a playlist of sythwave type music ha brought me onto more futuristic and neon settings of robots and cyberpunk landscapes.

One such artist led me onto this discovery by by the name of Dan Terminus, the music is normally very intense futuristic sounding and with it helped my paint out new ideas and a new direction for this dull and dying project.

Day of the Dead Trivia.

Day of the dead has been around for a long time, origins point to Aztec era during the month  on the solar calendar. the practice of skulls in Day of the dead are for two reasons, one is as a trophy but that was when keeping human remains was seen as normal, an old and still believed tradition is that skulls are to celebrate death and rebirth as the human skull is in both process along with the rest of a skeleton.

In the 15th Century when the Spanish Arrived to South America, the Catholics saw these ill and heretical rituals of the dead and were in other words, disgusted, and so looking at the respect they came up with a festival called all souls day, the day after Halloween. The festival was to attempt and convert the local Aztecs to a Catholic life style with feasts and celebrations.  Along with this on the same day a Celtic festival was held know as the Feast of the dead. Later on down the line of time when more modern ideals were introduced, the day tied in multiple cultures and factors and became Day of the Dead.

During the day of the dead there are three days, The first is November 1st and on this day the spirits of children arise from their grave to be celebrated, the second is Day of the dead and so Adults rise out for the same the last day is all saints day where both children and adults as well as other spirits of the dead rise up to be remembered during the three days different gifts are given, on the First it’s sweets and other small edible foods, on the second, Pan De Mertos which is bread of the dead (a sweet bread like food) along with alcohol for the adults and lastly a mixture of both, during this time the families eat small sweet skull shaped foods with a dead relative inscribed on the skull as a sign of love and respect.

Companionship with Robots

WallE is a small robot with alot of human emotion, he is a scrapper robot who is slowly destroying the wasteland of earth while the Humans stay in a lap of luxury in space, later He meets EVE and the two adventure together to save the human race from the evil ship A.I.

Who could forget the two galaxy saving robots named R2D2 and C3P0, the two are seen as friends to the rebal alliance even thogh robots in the Starwars universe are counted as machines and normally forced to do mundane tasks the humans are t do, in the movies they exspress human emotions even though R2D2 cannot speak, only communicating in a series of beeps boops and other noises.

Mario Vs Sonic (Nintendo Vs SEGA)

Back in 1990′s the argument of who is better Mario or Sonic was a very real and hard debt to settle, SEGA had the 16 bit SEGA Megadrive along with 3 games that boosted to it’s success where as Nintendo had the NES and SNES to fight back, the games were neck and neck fighting for the umber one spot.

How ever the next generation was around the corner and with that came 3D technology, so when the jump came from 2D to 3D, Nintendo already had a toe in the water before backing out and going in for cartridge games making the N64, the Playstation was released as a standalone console rather then a collaboration project with Nintendo and Sony and SEGA Made the SEGA CD the companies were now next gen however the SEGA CD flopped Sonic’s jump to 3D was buggy and a mess =killing off Sonic until 2017 with Sonic Mania then dying again with Sonic Forces later that year. Mario was made into Mario 64 one of the most beloved games of all time and Playstation are pushing the next Generation of the gaming industry still.

Some of the Best Pixel Games of all Time.

1 Tetris

Tetris was one of the first games to be created and it was a simple game, use different shapes made of pixels to make a full row and delete the row gaining score every time you did so. It was simple and addictive making it quite a competitive game between friends. 

2. Minecraft

Minecraft is a simple voxel (3D Pixels) based game, The game has no story, no score and no objective except to make the world in your eyes, the game has a day and night cycle and features monsters, and now in 2018 an end game creatively named The End, where the player must slay a dragon.

3. Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley is a pixel based game arching back to the old days of Harvest Moon, the game is complex and in depth, a several days in game can lead to hours of your day gone just waiting for those damn parsnips to grow.
