Andreas gursky

Is a German photographer. He does landscapes and architecture and take his photons from a high point of view. One great thing about his photos are the colors that stand out, and when there isn’t any color he makes sure to show the same color.

Andre keetesz

He is a Hungarian photographer and he created scant garden photographs. He used in his early days weird camera and angels and made powerful street photographs. When we look at his photos we can see shadows and I think that is super cool becuase when we see them it’s when the subject seems to be working. So it maybe his way of showing that we all have 2 ideities work and fun.

Mario testino

Is a photographer from Peru. He is a fashion photographer and has been shown in vogue, vanity fair and Gq. He also has taken photos for Gucci and channel. He has worked as created direcotor. We can see he works with color and non. I think the black and white make the photos pop more than his color ones.

Steve McCurry

His photographs are amazing. One thing super cool about them is that he really shows that these people have gone though a lot. He is an American photographer and photojournalism. His most famous photo is African girl. He has been featured in National Geographic. And has received several rewards. The bright colors around the subjects face really makes the first stand out and shadows.

Robert dosineau

He was a French photographerZ. He captures the streets of Paris, and really took in the city life. Even though he didn’t call himself one he was considered the pioneer of photojournalism. One thing to note about his photos are that they are very crowded with lots going on or stuff in the background. He says that everyday life can not be captures by a movie director becuase it is just so unexpected on what you’ll find there.

Dorothea Lange

She was a photographer who switched midway though. For starters tho she is a documentary photographer and photojournalist. In her early life she used to take photos of the people in power and had a high social status. However once the depression hit she wanted to photograph that and the consequences there were. One thing is it looks like these photographs were staged but as you look more closely it was just the way she was able to be there at the right moment and take the picture.

Anne geddes

Anne is someone who didn’t really have a passion for photography growing up but she thought herself it and it worked out. Her new born pictures is what put her on the nap and her photography books are published in 83 countries like. One of her projects was to raise awareness for child neglect and abuse. With the baby photos you can really see the innocence of the child.

David lachapelle

One cool fact about him is that he had an intern named Who I did my paper on. Also he is a fine art photographer. He has made many photos referencing religion and hoping to spark discussion around social issues. In his photos it is bright colors, and we really get a nice look into how he sees the world. Also the colors he uses are vibrant and so they all compliment each other and it makes you just wanna stare at his photos for days.

David Bailey

Bailey was someone who was smart but just not to motivated for the education. Becuase of poor attendance he did not get into London school of fashion. However that did not stop him. He was passionate from when he was a child, when he got his first camera in 57’. One thing to note about his photos are they are self portraits really focused on fashion. One cool thing about his portraits are even though the portrait seems dull, it gives us a great insight into who he is photographing.

Man Ray

Man ray was someone who’s photographs were super cool. He was an artist in France and spent most of his time there. He was a photographer but morels considered himself a painter. One thing I find really cool about his photos are the unique style choices he uses to capture the images. He gets real up close and personal and sometimes shoots at a really odd angle. With that being said I think it adds another layer to the photo to make it pop and tilt your head and wonder.

Edward western

Was a very famous photographer though the 20th century. He had what may notably be one of the longest careers which spans 40 years. What is really cool about his still life is the backdrop and how he chooses it to be black. This makes us more focused on the subject knowing it’s the most important thing in the photo.

Don McCullin

He is a British photojournalist, and is well know for his war subject. With his photos like weegee he looks at the underbelly of society and how it can be dark which to me is very interesting. He also like many photographers captures landscape and beautiful stills.

Richard avedon

Richard was a fashion photographer as well as portrait. He worked for vogue. Some cool things to note is in funny face the musical he supplied photographers for the production. In an interview he held Audrey hepburn to the highest esteem. One thing very cool about his photos is he puts his subjects in the forefront and in the center which shows just how important they are

Weegee

Who’s real name is Arthur Felig, was a photographer in New York. Also photojournalist. Much of the work of his really captured the authentic feel of the city life and not making it look pretty, and romantize it. By looking at his pictures below you can see some of the subject matter he touched. From these photos it looked like what he wanted to cover was the crimes and followed police to see where the action was. What I love about his photos are just how dark they are. I feel capturing that with the subject matter compliments greatly.

Frans Lanting

He is a wildlife photographer born in Netherlands. He was won many prizes in his life for photography. A lot of his photos are regularly published in National Geographic. When looking at some of the examples below I think what really stands out is the colors in his photos becuase it represents where he is. Blue and white is cold. The elephant with its bright pink can represent the African jungle, and the beauty of it as well as with the birds it shows how bright and beautiful that country is.

Imogen Cunningham

Cunningham was an American photographer born in Oregon. One thing super cool about her early life is that a lot of her photographers in her early days were not super focused and soft, eventually she changed that. She joined a group called f/64 group which did reject that soft photo idealism. One thing that is super cool about the soft photos in my opinion is that it keeps some of the mystery around the subject.

Eliot porter

Porter was someone who always loved photography. At a young age he always took photos of nature. His subjects in his early life were birds which I find pretty cool. It seems as though his family is full in the arts. His bother is a painter and critics. One thing super interesting about his nature photos shown below is the color hue. We see in three on them he runs with one color, which is orange, blue and then greens which is super cool and also reminds me of seasons.
