This is one of my favorite pieces I’ve done because it is so nostalgic for me! I used to make AG stop motions and draw AG dolls all the time as a kid, they were such a big part of my childhood and I made some of my favorite memories with them! ♥️
Now available as 5x7 and 11x14 prints on my Etsy! ♥️ kaitlynillustrations.etsy.com

Imagine you're a Jedi, you can feel things through the Force. The Force is in all living things. The Force leaves imprints, even in non-living things, but a hundred times stronger in living beings, soaking into the very cells and atoms of everything tangible and intangible. Imagine being sensitive to the ebbs and flows of the universe in everything you touch, imagine being sensitive to the feelings of others that have soaked into the walls that surrounded them, imagine you can feel the pain of every person who died in that hospital bed even after they died when you visit a dying friend to comfort them, because the Force is all things connected at all points, and you can feel it when you step into that room, your friend who is dying and everyone else who suffered in that room, when you put your hand on that sheet or touch that plant they were keeping such tender care of before they died or the special tea pot they used and loved and seeped their warmth into it. They will always be with you because you can feel them in the coffee mug they used every day, because their atoms are part of the galaxy and you are connected to everything in the galaxy. It's painful and beautiful all at the same time. And you have to find your balance within all of that, you have to work to let go of the sadness and anger and grief because the more you feed into the walls around you, the more they give it back to you, they more you can't feel the joy of your friends and family. You have to find the light and hold onto it, you have to train yourself to stay on your feet in this onslaught, and let go of the dark so that you can always hold the joy and the good in your heart. So you can hold that teacup and feel the love that is in it.

I just don’t get it. How can our society act so goddamned normal about seahorses. How can anybody so casually accept that that’s a fish???
This is one of nature’s most anatomically perverse of all beasts. A FISH, like a carp or a bass or a beta is a fish, but it bent its body straight up only to bend its head permanently back down. It stretched its skull into a pipe. It tapered its tail like a lizard, specifically like a chameleon. It can also move its eyes independently by the way, you know, like a chameleon. Fun fact, it can change color to express its mood, like you know whatever does that. It doesn’t properly swim anymore. It buzzes its few remaining fins like an insect’s wings to float itself around at a snail’s pace. It lives its whole life clinging to coral branches or seaweed, which means it decided to become a “tree dweller” in an environment where gravity didn’t even matter anyway. The males get pregnant. They make noises at each other by rubbing some of their neck bones together. Every day, EVERY DAY a mated pair does a little dance and a little neck bone song so they remember which two seahorses they were. They’re a beautiful precious obscenity. Nothing so adorable ever made such a strong case against a logical creator.
They have as little skin and meat as they could get away with. Their skeleton is almost all they are.

i think we're not paying enough attention to dana and langdon yet. dana giving him redbulls. dana's "you're like the son i never wanted". langdon talking about his family with her and her trying to coach him lightly into giving his wife more time to herself and more help. dana's "i love you kid" and langdon admitting to her how scared he is now he's fucked up. i just really like the thought of charge nurse dana evans in her job for 30 years and this little shit starts his residency in her ED and she thinks he's a ridiculous asshole but also someone she cannot help but want to take care of. just a tiny bit. she just can't let him know as much though because he'd never let her live it down

A philosopher once asked, “Are we human because we gaze at the stars, or do we gaze at them because we are human?” Pointless, really... “Do the stars gaze back?” Now that’s a question.
