Clockwork having to imprison his husband to save all the worlds losing both his husband and son... him missing seeing what happened to his son because he wasn't always watching (Because he had a life he lived in the present) it's why he is only in his lair now always watching because he looked away once and lost everything

Once again a dad clockwork AU/fic prompt only where everyone else thinks CW is Danny’s dad.

Basically AU where in big fight in amity against some powerful ghosts (Maybe Dan?) everyone is watching Danny fight and then CW steps in to try and help but gets hit, Danny accidentally calls out Dad and goes to help CW. Danny doesn’t even realize he’s called him Dad….but everyone else does.

GIW, Maddie and Jack are freaking out because ghosts have parents? “Phantom has a parent? does he mean actually or adoptive or….this changes so many theories. If it’s biologically then ghosts can have kids?? If adoptive then ghosts have enough empathy and emotion to bond and care about a child and we have so many questions!!!”

All of amity is also freaking out because it’s just reinforced that the ghost kid saving them IS JUST A KID!

Vlad is currently being swamped with amity residents wanting they’re mayor to address this and we have to stop attacking the kid! Vlad is both annoyed as hell that all his plans have gone to hell but also apparently Daniel has picked another parent and  it’s not him! and he is pissed mostly because it’s CW one of few ghosts he does not want to fuck with and so is plotting.

Ghosts are not faring much better either the ghost zone is in fucking chaos because Clockwork has apparently become the dad of the kid they have all tried to kill on multiple occasions. THEY ARE FREAKING OUT! Clockwork is a legend he is terrifying and they all apparently nearly killed his kid. In fact a large part of ghost zone are pretty convinced that Danny may like literally be Clockwork kids because yeah he’s half human but honestly Clockwork is the master of time, he controls time if any ghost was going to have a kid with weird powers and able to change to a human it would be him.

The older ghosts and other ancients are all internally screaming because they know who Clockworks partner is. Now all the most powerful ghosts in the ghost zone have cork boards like Always Sunny meme drawing similarities between CW pariah and Danny. They are at this point convinced of a conspiracy in which they had a kid then Pariah went crazy and CW did some time shit to send the kid to the future and somehow make him human? They don’t know they’re freaking out.

Clockwork is trying to explain that no Daniel is not his child, there is no official adoption and no he is not his Pariah’s secret child… No one believes him.

Danny is dying of embarrassment in the human world, this is so much worse than accidentally calling a a teacher dad. Tucker and Sam are still dying of laughter… less so when Fright Knight appears calling him ‘my prince’….and isn’t that a weird way to find out the CLOCKWORK IS MARRIED TO PARIAH.

So a couple more half asleep random thoughts on my latest DP AU where Danny accidentally calls CW dad and then no one believes he’s not actually his dad (Link here)

Mainly Fright Knight. He hears Phantom called CW father and he starts thinking about kid running into fights with the odds stacked against him, ridiculously stubborn and noble, completely protective over the land he’s claimed to protect and winning through determination and force of will and suddenly is remembering what Pariah was like when he was younger and before the madness took hold and is 1000% sure Danny is Pariah and CW’s biological kid no one will convince him otherwise and after his mini breakdown that he literally tried to kill his prince he decides it is his duty to protect Phantom at all costs. He shows up and swears fealty to him and Danny is just like ‘wtf wtf wtf’ and tries explaining that he called Clockwork dad on accident and oh god he’s embarrassed enough about calling his sort of mentor dad but

Danny: Look Clockwork is not my dad and Pariah definitely isn’t

Fright Knight: Yes they are

Danny:…I-what no no they are not

Fright Knight: They most definitely are my prince

Danny:…

It’s a lost cause trying to explain they’re not Clockwork has shown the ancients the actual timeline they still don’t believe him.

Fright knight is not only super protective of Danny, Dash literally doesn’t know what him but he ended up though a wall last time he tried to mess with Danny (Danny is torn between fuck you almost killed him and fuck that was amazing) but also very concerned about the future ghost kings education he finds out Danny is struggling and goes apeshit in the ghost zone like ‘ALL OF YOU WILL STAY ON THIS SIDE OF THE PORTAL OUR FUTURE KING NEEDS TO DO CALCULUS’ he also is deeply concerned his prince does not know about ghost zone lore so Danny ends up getting ghost history lessons….Jazz gatecrashes them, she is taking all the notes (She’s also heard about Pariah and CW relationship and is very invested)

Also he starts teaching Danny more fighting and Danny wants to argue and should be trying to convince everyone he’s not the ghost zone prince…but he’s sword lessons and it’s super cool.

He’s kinda just getting used to that when the ancients show up with presents to see their Nephew. Danny feels super awkward and is just very glad Jack and Maddie are still in the basement having an existential crisis and looking over all their life’s work to busy to come upstairs and see all of the most powerful ancient ghosts of the infinite realms having tea around the table…. at least he gets to hear embarrassing stories about Pariah and Clockwork.

Clockwork shows up as well Danny is awkward as hell around him at first because haven’t really interacted since he pulled the ultimate accidentally calling your teacher dad move.

CW: I wouldn’t bother trying to keep explaining it to them Daniel just accept fate

Danny:…uh why is it for the best timeline

CW:No. They’re just to stubborn to accept anything else.

CW: In all timelines all trying to explain does is lead to a headache

He also not so subtly says that well he also sees Danny as a son and that he wouldn’t mind having that bond… it’s the weirdest most roundabout way to adopt someone.

Pariah shows up and instead of the dramatic reunion he and CW slide just into how they were before Pariah went crazy aka the most mushy romantic couple of all time, like able to kill you with a thought but to busy getting lost in each others eyes to think about it.

The observants are actually super happy Pariah is back because they totally shipped it they spent centuries observing these twos ridiculous pinning and romance and then Pariah went crazy and sunk their ship and so they are super happy to have their ship back they are sitting back watching eating popcorn watching this surprise child plot twist gasping and with their own cork board of conspiracies like ‘OMG THAT’S WHY CLOCKWORK SAVED HIM YES DOTS CONNECTED’

Bonus: Vlad bursts in to do evil plan he’s been plotting and… there is the fight Knight all the ancients, Clockwork and Pariah all just sitting there…he just very slowly walks backwards out of the house…Fright Knight still tracks him down and kicks his ass.

Bonus bouns: Dani. The zones find about Dani and lose their minds more nobody even questions how they could have 2 kids of different ages at all, they’re all like you control time weird shit happens but for sure that’s your kid.

Vlad: I made them that’s a clone of Daniel

Ghost Zone: ha right nah that’s Pariah and Clockworks kid

On december 9th, 7 people who were not busy that afternoon gathered in a dimly lit garage on the request of one person.

Angie (15) head of the Danny Phan club's theories division: You're probably all wondering why I asked you here today.

Su-Jin (19) in charge of keeping the websites updated: Yeah, the urgent message with no explanation was kinda jarring.

Jónatan (16) event organizer: couldn't have given a little heads up?

Carmelo (14) treasurer: And I don't believe we needed this many snacks.

Rowan (17) President of the Phanclub: Let's hear her out.

Suddenly, a bright light flashed above them.

Harriet (17) made matching t-shirts: Got the power back on. What are we talking about?

Angie: I'm sure you've all heard that Danny Phantom somehow managed to freeze that giant plant ghost last summer?

S,J,C,R,H,D:*murmurs of agreement*

A: And everyone knows ghost poweres are based on how one dies. As was proven last year with that ghost who was perpetually soaking wet and kept spiting up water

She turns dramatically away from the pool conference table.

A: Before now, he could just do the same things as all other ghosts. Invisibility, intangibility, flying. Plus, those blasts, which are probably just concentrated ectoplasm.

She drags in a large corkboard and looks at the others when she flops it around. Revealing newspaper clippings of Danny using each of his powers, a grave yard, some mountains, and... ski resort pamphlets?

A: Now. Let's look at the evidence.

1. The snow. That came out of nowhere, right? - Wrong. Before the Christian version of Hell, there was the Norse Hel. It was where everyone whet when they died, provided they didn't die in battle. It was thought to be a vast wasteland covered in ice where you could spend eternity with those who were with you when you died.

2. His appearance. He wears a onesie. There are a few reasons one might wear a onesie. The main reason being, you don't want something getting into your clothes. For example, bees. But he has nothing to do with bees. It would have to be something else, something he is connected to... like snow. Like his hair. *pause for effect* it's snow white. The chances of someone being born with white hair is less than 0.001% or one in 17 to 20 thousand. It can also be caused by a deficiency in vitamin B12 or pituitary or thyroid issues. You can all refer to the group chat for articles on those.

*Angie knows no one ever reads her sorces, but damn it, she did her research, and she's gonna site it.*

Jónatan: When did you have time for this? School only finished yesterday.

A: What I think is more likely is that his haircolor changed post-mortem. But why white?

*pause*

A: I think he froze to death.

The room went silent. It had crossed each of their minds, but no one had wanted to say it. Enter Angie 'can't read the room to save her life' Sage.

A: Considering the multiple ski resorts in Illinois supporting the theory and how much more aggressive he is in December, probably due to the anniversary of his death. It could also explain why no other ghosts show up in December. Either they're too scared of him or they're giving him space. He has seemed to be somewhat chumy with some of the other ghosts, despite their combative relationship-

Rowan: Angie, stop.

Quiet.

She looks around the room. Four people are looking down, seemingly avoiding eye contact, and two look at her. Rowan, looks right at her with stern yet sympathetic eyes.

R: Everyone take five. We'll pick it up from here. Angie, a word.

Oh great, she must've offended someone. If only she could remember to look at the faces. Shurely, there must be some signs she could look out for.

R: I know you like theories, Angie. But can you tone it down? You're talking about someone's death. That's not the sort of thing most people are comfortable with.

They're one of the most patient people she's ever met, but sometimes even Rowan doesn't quite make sense.

A: But... he's a ghost. We all know he died.

R: We do. But, I think this whole conversation could be easier if you remove the "post mortem" and the "to death" parts of your presentation.

A: I guess I could change the wording a bit. Leave out the more gruesome parts. But I need someone to hear those out, a second set of ears to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Rowan looks to the corner of the room, where a 12 year old girl sits on a barstool with a wide-eyed grin ear to ear. She nods as though knowing exactly what they want.

R: Dani can hear you out on those.

Dani (12 (real age 1)) a gremlin, somehow always has time for this: I look forward to working with you.

No Body to Bury

This is a full dead spin off of another one shot I read about Danny being given flowers for his grave by a child.

The Justice League had been working with Phantom for a while now, not consistently, but he showed up when they were dealing with something ~spooky~, and he’d given them a way to contact him. They called him in to consult, or to back them up sometimes because he was a bit of a power-house. At first they had thought the name was part of his shtick, after all his powers were ghostly enough and there was something satisfying about having a theme.

They had started to suspect something when the child citizen had given him flowers for his grave, and his delighted reaction. It could have just been a kid happy to get a gift, but it wasn’t, it was clearly more then that and Batman had had a flashback to one of Constantine’s crash course lesson’s on supernatural, the one on ghosts. Graves were very important to them, as were morning gifts like flowers and candles, whatever was culturally appropriate.

None of them knew where Phantom’s grave was, Batman had tried to find it, to find anything about the ghosts life and death, but there wasn’t much. Not before he became a hero in Amity park, so he could maybe guess that the other had died in Amity (if he had died), but there was no deaths that matched up with his appearance. The closest thing was a boy named Danny but he had gone missing years after Phantom showed up, and he’d never been declared dead officially. More was impossible to find, even after the GIW had been disbanded the information they had destroyed about the town couldn’t all be retrieved.

Since Batman didn’t know where Phantom’s grave was he couldn’t leave flowers on it directly which meant he had to actually give them to the ghost boy. It was a bit uncomfortable the first few times, and his kids made fun of him for being emotionally repressed but… it made Phantom so happy, and brought him closer and closer to Batman. He had already started to see Phantom as one of his kids, even if he knew he’d never get the ghost to come back to the manor. The gifts helped, he found that Phantom also liked to receive food, he even picked at it sometimes even though it seemed he didn’t need to eat. Sharing meals with him was a good excuse to actually talk some though, Batman would listen and eat his own food as Phantom picked at his and rambled about space, about recent fights he’d been in, and people he’d met.

Through all that Batman managed to learn more about the young hero, about what he valued, and what he did when he wasn’t being a hero. Apparently he spent a lot of time off world but exploring rather then being a hero to the galaxy. Batman had a feeling superman would be upset by that, that Phantom could be doing more good then he was and was choosing not to. But the ghost was clearly still a kid, or at least had been when he died, and he was plenty heroic, he didn’t need to be dealing with universal threats at maximum sixteen years old, Batman felt bad calling him in for the planetary threats, but sometimes it was unavoidable.

As they got closer Phantom started to let other things slip, that he’d had a sister, and a couple of close friends that he still watched over when he could. When Batman had asked if those people knew he was dead Phantom had fallen silent for a full minute and then changed the subject entirely, Batman hadn’t pushed it that time. If he had Phantom would have retreated, but as it was they kept having lunch together, and the boy let more and more slip. Including more stories about those friend he must have had while he was alive, it was during one of those that he let his name slip.

Danny doesn’t think his eyes have ever been so wide, half cradled as he was against the ghost of time, who was… much larger than he was when he had met him. Not as big as the ghost king, at least in height or bulk, but, he didn’t know, longer? Give him a break, he was exhausted and injured!

“Clockwork,” the ghost rasped, standing to their full height as an unreadable expression crossed over corpse-pale skin. “You look… well…” 

“Don’t you ‘look well’ me, Pariah Dark!” Clockwork spat, his cloak mostly covering Danny and look, he couldn’t help but to curl closer, it was nice and he was tired! It was soft, and warm, like what he thinks silk might maybe feel like, and comforting like a blanket straight out of the dryer. 

He blinked away dizziness, pausing in his idly petting of the bit of cloak in his hand when he realized he had missed a bit of the… argument? Conversation? It wasn’t a fight yet, but he wasn’t going to throw it out as a possibility. Ugh, his everything ached. 

“I saw all that you could become, all that you would become,” the time ghost’s claws- didn’t he have gloves before- gripped at his hair, crimson eyes practically smoldering. 

Danny looked between the two like he was watching a football game, eyes wide beneath his bangs and mouth parted in a small o of verging realization over what he was hearing. 

“And somehow-” Clockwork threw his hands up, cloak flaring from the motion. “I still fell in love with you like an idiot!”

DP PROMPT

Danny wants to be an astronaut. It's been his dream since he was a little kid, and everyone knew about it. I mean, just one look at his bedroom and you'd know.

Posters about the stars and galaxies were everywhere, he had a map of the solar system taped above his bed.

One of his favorite things to learn about was the history behind how people begun to explore space. And one of his favorite stories, despite its bittersweet end was Laika.

A stray dog pioneer, sent up into the great unknown, despite knowing that she wouldn't come back. The amount of times he cried over this dog was insane. Learning that the technician kissed her nose before she got suited up, that one of the scientists brought her home the night before her exploration so she could play with her kids.

Danny had written one of his favorite papers on Laika and got an A+ on it. After his...incident, he could sort of see himself as Laika.

Sent into a great unknown place. Not being able to ever fully return to what you once were. It was comforting to know that there was someone out there that understood him.

Danny was watching the stars again, in the park late at night. It was one of the few times he got to just...be himself. He had his telescope all set up, and began to look for the planets.

He paused as he looked at Jupiter, seeing something small, lying atop its rings. It seemed to notice him too; turning its head. Danny froze falling backwards as it jumped toward him, through his telescope, as if it were a mini portal.

Danny felt a soft body land on him and he groaned, looking down at his lap and seeing a startlingly familiar dog laid across his lap, a smile on her face. Laika.

"What the-" Before he could finish, the small mutt leaned up, a cold tongue licking his cheek. He laughed, rubbing the slobber off. "Hey! What was that for?"

Laika barked in his lap, and Danny watched as she ran off, before chasing after her with a smile. "Wait! Come back, Laika!"

He stumbled as he noticed the building she sat in front of. The observatory. Danny bit his lip, glancing down. He wasn't technically allowed in the building after dark, but Phantom was.

He hid behind a tree while transforming, following Laika as she went inside, going through the walls with ease. Danny followed her up the stairs, watching as she looked up at the stairs above them all.

"You know-" Danny started, huffing as he sat down, Laika laying her chin on his lap as she looked at him. "You helped us all reach the stars, Laika."

Laika paused as if considering his words. She turned onto her back, looking at the galaxy above, her eyes reflecting the shining stars. Danny's hand reached her stomach, scratching it as she whined happily.

"You're the reason other animals didn't die, all because you let us learn," Danny murmured, looking up to the stars as well, and he wondered if she got to see earth from above. "They say earth looks like a small, blue ball from above. Did you try and catch it, Laika?"

Danny stood in his space suit, a smile on his face as he looked down at Laika, who sat next to him. She smiled, panting happily at him, rubbing her cheek against his leg.

She'd been here with him, through every lengthy test and trial he had to go through to finish his dream.

And she'd follow him back into space, and finally be able to watch the stars and run across the planets and follow his ship through the cosmos, all while Danny watched with a smile.

I'm gonna be real I don't think anyone is ever gonna figure out Danny Phantom is living teenager Danny Fenton unless they see him transform. Because like. What the fuck is a half-ghost. Makes no fucking sense. If Danny Fenton is dead surely someone would have noticed by now.

What I think is more likely is that someone notices Danny Fenton bears a striking resemblance to Danny Phantom and delicately (or not so delicately) asks if he has an uncle or something who died young and that's why his parents are super into ghosts.

I know the fandom had named Valerie's ghost hunters identity "Red Huntress" (and I fucking love that name, don't get me wrong, it's rad as hell) but I had a thought about a potential other name she might have ended up with.

Specifically I'm imagining Danny giving her a hero name completely by accident.

Like, they're fighting a ghost together. It's low stakes, more just a bit of fun before they go grab a shake at the Nasty Burger or something. Neither of them are on edge or really thinking, this is basically just a quick chore they have to take care of before they can hang out. They've been joking and throwing banter back and forth, all that fun stuff.

And it's so chill and low stakes that Danny, in typical Danny fashion, isn't really thinking.

He's about to do something to show off or make a terrible pun or something and wants to make sure she's paying attention and goes to shout to her.

But uh... he uh... he forgot until he's already got the "Val" part out that she also has a secret identity and at this point watching them fight ghosts is a pass time for the people of Amity Park so they have a pretty big audience. One that includes the news.

So, now panicking, Danny tries to cover the only way he knows how:

And so, Amity Park's ghost hunting hero Valkyrie is named.

If we want to double down on Danny's "Hero identity name is just a slight change to his civilian name she could be Valkyrie Red (in place of Valerie Gray) though I think Red Valkyrie flows a little better lol

The fentons are mad scientists and supervillians but supporting parents

Danny is like the odd child out, the shortest out of all of them and the least intimidating, jazz i love you but you are a 6 foot something Amazonian lady who keeps scaring everyone and keeps giving therapy sessions to random villains while protecting your brother.

Danny went through a teen hero phase only for his villain fam to immediately give him to a hero and say, "Watch over this"

Fentons that constantly brag about him but are ruthless to everyone else. Jack that, while in the middle of a battle, leaves because it's his wife's birthday, and he will be damned if he missed the party he set up. Maddie, who helps her kids on their science projects.

I want danny to go around the mall shopping for things with jack following him in hero dense cities.

I want danny to eventually retire and be happy with many contacts that causes people to try and honeypot him in an attempt to get said contacts or manipulate him. I want Dan and ellie to be in charge of stopping that.

I want Amity Park to be very protective of their resident ghost boy. I want danny to realize that he can cause chaos instead of being oblivious the entire time.

I want some heros and government agencies trying to blackmail and coerce him to join them to get hit with the " I'm telling my father" and Jack busts in with an assortment of villians and Amity parkers.

Danny is a ray of sunshine who's just trying. To live a peaceful life. He spends his Sundays in Metropolis at lex's place and just finds konnor and keeps him before giving him to supes who raises him.

I want danny to occasionally help the heroes when his families plans are going to stop his final or just inconvenience his friends. I want him to be unirronically adopted, but superheros families and none of them push for info on his family because they know that he has no interest in becoming a villain

I want ellie to travel and stay with the villains at random. I always her to make the " keep danny single" club because enough can't trust anyone

I want her to appear out of nowhere with Dante whenever someone tries to approach danny. Fentons that have yearly get-together and let's the heros know not to bother them on that day because ether aren't going to be doing anything villainous that day. Fentons that adopt random young heros they believe are beneficial to them. I want a healthy villain family with their one hero child who retired and just wants to live in peace.

Danny doesn't hide the fact that he's a halfa, his town knows, and no one's going to bother him for it as Fenton soo...... yea, he helps sam, who is also a meta and non humans activists. He embraces his ghost side and culture. The fentons also do this with vigor. They make sure everyone knows not to mess with them.

Fentons that are extremely proud of their children and what they stand for and become allies to many things and make their machines eco-friendly and such.

I want a young parent jack to go to work wearing what uoung jazz picked out for him. I want Jack to bring his children and go along with what they choose.

Danny Phantom became the king of the Infinite Realms at the age of 16, but even before his crowning, the rumors about him were incredibly. The strength, the intelligence, even his luck couldn’t not be taken lightly. Everyone knows that.

For these very reasons, on the moment the letter requesting a formal meeting with the justice league for a peace agreement every single lord had gone practically berserk trying to find ways to gets his favor

(practically a version of the fic the price of peace, but where instead of being seen as a monster/manipulator/ tyrant, he is well-known for his angelic nature and his rise to power were seen as an benediction or even salvation from Pariah Dark who was on the verge of enslaving them all)
