Back to doing what comforts me the most, character design.

The concept? "What if we have a death battle tournament, but with endangered species representing their countries to fight?"

Now imagine this: God wants to do the Noah's Ark all over again because humanity suck. He will allow 1 single country to be the humanity of the new world, and all you have to do is, well, come out on top, so a tournament is hosted. He is also kind enough to give power to the fighters, so that it would be more interesting. How this power works depends on the will for survival, the desire to live of the person wielding it. Humanity, being the smarty-pants that we are, begins thinking: "Hmmm, so the stronger one's will to survive is, the stronger they become in combat. I know! What better candidate could there be than the animals that are facing extinction? I say let's enroll them!"

And so we've got these. Wouldn't it be poetic and ironic to see a concept where humanity has to rely on the very animals we ourselves are driving into extinction for our own survival?
