Why Do Deities Use Mortals?

Deities use mortals because they need them. 

Depending on how you define deities in your game, deities may need mortals because the actions of mortals provide power, or because something bars the deities from acting on the Material Plane.

If your deities depend on mortals for their power, assume that only actions undertaken by mortals of their own free will provide this power. 

Such power stems not only from worship, but from all sorts of actions. 

The amount of power generated by such actions is in direct proportion to the effort and sacrifice required by the action. 

Considering the risk taken and the effort made routinely by adventurers, it’s obvious why they’re important to your deities. 

In such cases, the deities may send signs and avatars to encourage their worshipers, or they may appear themselves.

Your deities may not act directly in the mortal realm. 

Some barrier may exist to keep them from the Material Plane.

Alternatively, your deities may have an agreement to strictly limit their direct intercession on the Material Plane. 

Such deities need mortals to perform those tasks the deities cannot. 

They may need heroes to inspire worshipers, or they may need artifacts recovered or spells cast. 

They may need mortals to interfere with the churches of rival deities. 

In such cases, the actions of mortals reflect and influence the relationships of the deities and determine divine power.

As an entry-level DnD player can someone explain to me in the simplest possible way how to differentiate wizards, warlocks, and sorcerers from each other?

Perhaps the Mail Moogle has made a mistake or perhaps it knew about the people in GA and decided to play some kind of a prank. Regardless of any reason why, the image of Meya covered so demurely arrived at Apple’s door. An accompanying note read:

“Erick, this is the result of the contract put out by the Weavers Guild to advertise their new line of linens. It was …interesting experience but one I may not repeat. But it will net us a decent amount of Gil so that’s nice at least. Also I’m actually wearing something underneath the blanket so don’t make this weird.

Apple just stares at the picture for awhile in stunned silence as she processes this being the first thing she sees in the morning. No wonder Erick had fallen in love with her, she was so... I mean those legs, her hair... those bre.... oh gods! she shouldn’t be seeing this! Meya might get mad at her. She had to get this to Erick without him knowing!

..... in a bit.

It took a few moments, but soon enough Apple was on her bed, her camera on a tripod as she flailed about, the picture propped up out of the shot so she could properly recreate it. So far, it was a bit of a disaster her form was too lanky and her body didn’t really have those curves. But a sense of adventure and envy of her friend spurred her on. It’d be fun to try to send to Ioh.

Looking over the note left with the estate’s retainer, Ael smiled as she scanned the name. Of course she remembered the Hyur. It’d been… a long time, that was for sure, but she was looking forward to catching up on lost time. “Welcome back, Aps.” While the statement was murmured to herself, she tucked the note away and looked forward to seeing her old friend around.
