This is as far as I got with Daredevil bingo so far, an unfinished snippet from 2 months ago.

But there is still hope of maybe me writing more someday! (But not much hope.)

“You’re really good at this,” says Foggy. “How did you get good at this? Like, you haven’t watched any strippers before.”

Matt, shirtless, grins, hands above his head, and undulates in a way that his pants start falling down his hips. Foggy is still holding his belt from when he handed him one end and walked backwards. The truth is that Elektra taught him, but saying that would ruin the moment.

“I just have a feel for these kinds of things,” he says.

“That rings true, actually,” Foggy says, voice weak.

Matthew Murdock listened to the ambient noise: the people walking along the road below him, the whistle of the patrolling guard. Behind him, Frank Castle’s heartbeat sounded, even and reassuring.

“Okay, he just turned around.”

Matt nodded as the whistling faded.

“You got explosive rounds?”

Matt nodded again, trying to focus on the task at hand. He had what felt like an arsenal: explosive rounds, sleep darts, even grenades.

He didn’t need any of it.

“Come on, Red. Take the shot.”

12 days of mattelektra | day 4 | back with you

This is my super late entry for day 4, which I’ve had almost but not quite done for ages! So it’s Christmas all over again, yay? 🎄 Also gonna claim this for the wildcard square on my @daredevilbingo card, prompt “Happy Matt”. 

Contains: sickfic, fluff, light angst, season 3 spoilers, and Foggy POV because… idek, he just started talking.

Feverish Matt ranks as one of the five most difficult Matts to deal with. “Recently returned from the dead but still dead inside Matt” vies with “actively bleeding out Matt” for the top spot, but feverish Matt consistently ranks high on the list.

As luck would have it (good luck, in Foggy’s opinion; bad luck in Matt’s, he’s sure), Matt’s dramatic swooning spell had taken place in the offices of Nelson, Murdock, and Page. Which, being in cozy proximity to the Nelson household, means Matt is currently lying in Foggy’s childhood bed with flushed cheeks, a sweaty brow, and a frown creasing his pretty face.

The dramatic swooning happened yesterday. (And it was awfully dramatic; Karen ended up with her arms locked around Matt’s chest, staggering under the weight of delirious vigilante, having caught him just before he hit the floor.) Foggy spent last night on his parents’ couch. Tonight he’ll be bunking down on floral cushions generously flattened by generations of Nelson asses once again. He could sleep in his very nice bed in his very nice apartment with his very nice girlfriend, but that would mean leaving his parents to deal with the inevitable moment when feverish Matt tries to make a break for it, and he can’t do that.

“Foggy,” Matt says, “Foggy,” and reaches out a hand. Foggy accepts his hot, germy fingers, because if Matt needs touch he’s gonna give it to him, but he’s also going to hand sanitize the shit out of himself later. ‘We’ll - keep it down tonight,” Matt says earnestly. “Quiet. Promise. Mmm.”

“Of course you will, buddy,” Foggy says, giving his hand a gentle squeeze.

Matt clings like a limpet. Whatever the hell a limpet actually is. “I’ll tell Elektra to whisper,” he says, head rolling on the pillow like he’s trying to make sure Foggy can see his face. “I will.”

“I believe you,” Foggy says softly, giving Matt’s hand one more squeeze, then carefully detaching himself from that desperate grip. “Get some rest.”

He has to go. He has a call to make.

This fills the 12 Days of MattElektra prompt for day 10, “we’re together,” and (with a stretch) my @daredevilbingo spot for “tiny dinosaurs.”

Elektra Natchios shifts on the hard plastic chair, then nudges Matthew’s calf with the tip of one leather boot. “This is all your fault.”

“How?” His reply is amused, likely more than the situation warrants. “How can whatever this is possibly be all my fault?”

“Murdock.”

“Okay, true.” Matthew’s voice is barely above a whisper, and full of suppressed laughter. “But, the way I see it, that would make it half my fault. You were there, too, after all.”

She’s not ready to concede his point, though she makes an amused noise to tell him that she’s listening, and entertained.

Matthew continues, sounding more serious, “Last time, that thing with the sais at the playground, that wasn’t my fault.”

“The plural of sai is also sai,” Elektra says crisply, though she can tell by the way his lips curve that he sees her words for the teasing they are. “And, as I said, it is all your fault. Murdock curiosity led to the issue with the sai. Really, I should have known this would happen. Your mother warned me.”

Matthew leans in close, one hand snaking around Elektra’s waist. “Tell me you regret it,” he murmurs, his breath tickling her ear in a way that she finds rather pleasant.

She relents. “You know I don’t,” she whispers into the pulse point below his ear, and he all but purrs in response as she stops talking and uses her lips for other purposes.

Of course, it is at that moment that the door behind them opens. Elektra, though, takes her time in disengaging from Matthew, the better to show the newcomer just what to expect from Elektra and Matthew.

The man clears his throat as he makes his way to sit behind the desk before them. “Mr. and Mrs. Murdock, if you -”

“Oh, I’m certainly not a Murdock,” Elektra corrects promptly. “The world would not survive such an occurrence.”

The man sighs and fumbles with the folder in his hand, scanning its contents. “Mr. Murdock and Ms. Natchios,” he amends, sounding tired.

Darejones fic for Mrsdaredevil in the 2018 Daredevil/Defenders Exchange 

Hey @mrsdaredevil, I am happy to say that I was your Secret Santa for @daredevilexchange and your story is finished. I’m sorry that I didn’t post it sooner (as in when you might have been on today). My Christmas plans didn’t go as planned, but oh well. I hope you enjoy it, regardless!

Loved your prompt- the Elle King song “Where the Devil Don’t Go”. Since it was me (Captain of the Darejones ship) writing for you (a fellow, confirmed Darejones fan) and you said you would be cool with that, I interpreted it Darejones style. Anyway, I hope you like it! I really enjoyed writing it!

I am also (finally) participating in Daredevil Bingo and this fulfills my first bingo prompt of “Riding the Subway”.

Where the Devil Don’t Go

It’s late and it’s cold— like, coldest-night-of-the-year-so-far-cold— and Jessica is almost regretting the fact that she accepted Matt’s invitation to come patrolling as she shrugs further into her coat. The air is so frigid it has its own mass, and her lungs fight against the force of it as she inhales deeply. They worked up a bit of a sweat chasing down the masterminds behind a small-potatoes weapons deal they’d stumbled on earlier in the evening; now, across town in Brooklyn, they’re brimming with satisfaction as they stand on the docks knowing they’ve dismantled the whole sorry operation behind the little deal. As they survey their bounty, Matt pulls out a burner phone and walks a few paces away as he calls in an anonymous tip to Detective Mahoney about the shipping crate full of weapons that they’ve confiscated. He wears the smug little smile that Jessica has come to associate with a mission that he considers “a job well done” and she rolls her eyes, though she can’t help but smirk at his back. But then the wind off the bay picks up and she shivers. And her smile disappears with a huff.

Her exhalation of breath turns to condensation almost instantly, wreathing around her face as she mindlessly kicks at leftover sludge on the ground from the season’s first snow. She reaches into the messenger bag which hangs at her hip and fishes out the thermos of coffee she packed. Unfortunately, not much remains inside, and she barely fills her cup with the dregs.

Oh well. At least it’s something.
