They’re practically married already. It’s adorable and I definitely have a soft spot for older, ready-to-retire!Matt. The title of this fic pretty much sums up all my thoughts about it. Comment: Oh myyyyy god. I’m terrible at keeping up with fics as they’re being updated so I made myself wait until this was finished before reading it all in one hit and oh MAN. It’s so good. I was alternately rooting for Foggy and Matt (and how painful is it that you have to pick one? I’ll tell you: super painful and it’s great and author why???) because they both fuck up and they’re both idiots and they both, ultimately, have to find ways to be happy, with and without each other. 

Also! Marci in this fic is great, as is Kirsten, who I haven’t seen in fic before and who I really want to see again. Luckily, it looks like another fic set in this ‘verse is in the works :D

Comment: So like, this ridiculously hot, and also funny, and also perfect in a gazillion other ways. I mean, I’ve read a lot of fics where at some point Foggy has had to narrate something to Matt or read him something aloud, and honestly I’m in shock that more people haven’t utilised this idea in order to produce the kind of hotness that has made its way into this fic. Guh!

Comment: sick!fic is my everything and this is perfect, like woah. So in character and LONG with the kind of cute-ass dynamics between characters that you want to wrap yourself up in for years. Plus, anything that sends Matt’s senses out of whack is a-okay with me, and this does that 100%...I mean he technically only has a cold but it’s one of the most distressing things ever (in the best way I know I’m a bad person)

Comment: Okay, so Matt/Vladimir is a thing. A very good thing. And this fic is awesome - weirdly chilling? Like, the author has a very distinct style and it really felt like I was getting inside Matt’s head, which makes for an interesting and slightly uneasy read, seeing as Matt feels a bit like he’s losing his mind. I honestly enjoyed this so much, it’s refreshingly different, and the pairing is great.

Summary: But Matt’s sad, inexplicably sad, and with him being this drunk - glasses sliding off one ear, unnoticed - it might only be a little bit about the rejected blind trans dude thing, and more about the entirety of his life sucking bit. Which Matt hasn’t expressed since the first time they went drinking and Matt ended up in tears-that-weren’t-tears-because-his-tear-ducts-don’t-work, so it’s about time.

Comment: This is the fic that got me thinking about aromantic!Foggy and honestly unable to turn back. Like, I love the emphasis on Matt/Foggy’s best-friend-y-ness in the show and however hard I ship them romantically I am also 1000000% on board of them being dorky platonic partners (with benefits) for life. Plus, it’s always so great to read fics where a main character is trans. This is the first one that I’ve read that I didn’t have to explicitly search for, which is amazing in itself. I just want more!!!! The ending of this fic in particular is just so cute and honestly just go read while I search for others like it.

This is really short and really gorgeous and Matt’s so turned on and guilty as fuck, which sorta turned me on and made me feel guilty as fuck, like how? Comment: This made my heart hurt so bad. It’s written so so so well and honestly it will make you want to climb inside and (gingerly, because injuries) give Foggy a shake because he’s amazing but of course he doesn’t know it. There’s a lot more focus on the hurt than the comfort and it just means that you really feel like you’re getting into Foggy’s head, and there are all these gorgeous references to how he feels about Matt, and really interesting insights to the Matt/Daredevil relationship...guh, amazing.

Comment: I literally filtered the Daredevil fics on AO3 according to length because I wanted something I could get my teeth into and stumbled across this. A freaking barista!AU, yes please and thank you. No fandom is complete without one hundred amirite?? For real, this fic is super super lovely. There were points where I was actually doing that thing that people talk about doing, where something is so damn cute that you have to sorta scrunch yourself up a little in order to contain the awwwwws. Also, there was some unexpected but completely welcome whump near to the end, so kudos for that! Kudos for all of it!

Comment: I love this idea of Matt getting his sight back (and immediately going to find out what Foggy looks like) - it’s definitely becoming a trope I’m fond of. The ending of this fic is slightly bittersweet and to me it feels less about Matt/Foggy and more about...Matt. This is Matt getting a taste of something he desperately wants and I love the focus on him and his experience. Definitely worth a read.

The set up is really fun, with them all playing spin the bottle, and Matt is put in a vulnerable position which I can’t help loving even if it makes me feel slightly bad (lol that’s a lie, i just love it).

Comment: So, author!anon decided to go down a more painful road than the prompt suggested but ohmygod, they did it so perfectly I couldn’t have less complaints (although like, my heart might say differently). Really bittersweet in the best way with some details that I adored (there are some things about the ring and Matt’s reactions to it...you’ll see... *__*), plus Foggy being perfectly in character despite obviously being in a super emotional situation. Ugh. <3
