"ekko had to give up paradise" as if staying in the alternate timeline was ever an option in ekko's mind. the truth is, from the moment he got there he was desperately looking for a way home. seeing zaun that way, being with powder and benzo and his friends and family, brought him joy, but more than that, it gave him hope. hope for his home, for his power. he never for a second considered staying in that perfect reality. even in his moments with alt powder, he doesn't say he wishes he could stay. he only wishes to stop time and remain in that moment of happiness. but for ekko, it could never really be his paradise if it wasnt his home. and that's why it had to be him.

We do not even know the character of the AU Ekko. Everyone headcanon him as a softie who cannot handle any danger. But seriously? Did you forgot the child that Ekko was? And I'm sure that he would not give up on Jinx if they were swapped universes. He would be dedicated and annoying. I'm even think that Ekko and Powder are fluffies and AU Ekko and Jinx would be such an annoying competitive duo. He can handle her and admire her and love her. Just do not underestimate dude just because he wears a fancy suit and does not fight chem barons
