"Nay, I'm fine." He said. Now was not the time for this; both of them needed to get out of here as quickly as possible.

He clutched at his chest, inhaling sharply. At least the blade had missed his heart.

Fandral held Thor's gaze for a moment, but then he looked downwards, processing what he had already suspected.

He had, of course, hoped to find Thor in better spirits. Time had passed, and though it did not always heal, he has still entertained the idea. But deep down, he knew that if Thor had found some healing, found whatever he had been looking for, he would have come back home.

"I won't drag you home, my friend." He assured Thor, looking back at him and seeing how he watched the horizon so intently. "But I also don't want you to wander alone. If you're in need of an extra blade, I will follow you through the realms."

It would not go unnoticed that he didn't return to Asgard. But that didn't matter much to Fandral in the moment. All talk was good talk, and much more importantly, he worried for Thor too much to leave now.

Fandral followed Thor's gaze to the skies, a longing for home stirring within him, even though it had only been a week or so, isolated out here after the Einherjar had dispersed once a meagre uprising had been put to rest.

"Of course." He was perplexed that his friend would be surprised. "You left without telling me anything. It's been... Nine, I don't even know how long."

He crossed his arms over himself, not wanting to seem accusatory. He couldn't imagine how Thor felt what with the countless tragedies that had occured. Since Midgard, he knew, things had not been the same.

"I can't convince you to come back, can I." It was less of a question and more of a resigned statement.

Fandral looked down in an attempt to hide the way his face was flushing.

"I'm not sure I can keep up a good defense, if I'm attacked again." He said coyly. "Especially seeing as I'm lacking proper armour."

He backed over to the bed, not getting on it but positioning himself right by the edge, allowing his jacket to fall open further as he watched Loki on the other side of the room.

Fandral stared at Loki for a moment. Sometimes, he would admit, the other would outmatch him in how lustful he could be. After another survey to make sure they were truly alone, he set his sword down upon a side table.

"And... what exactly about me being attacked in the middle of the night puts you in the mood?" He asked, though he couldn't keep the wry grin off his lips.
