We've fallen behind these few days and you can blame real life on that. We're slowly catching up but to make sure there is something running at all times, we'll be queuing up ads and we'll reblog 'free to plays' and important updates when we catch them on our feed.

— REBLOGGING: We don't play favorites, we go in order of our following list, but we'll be mixing it up from here on out so things can be a whole lot more fair.

— ADS: We'll be doing the same when we queue up ads, but we notice some roleplays upload more ads than others! or some don't upload any at all! If you notice your place hasn't popped up in our queue or hardly pops up on our blog in general, consider uploading an ad every now and then! We will be trying our hardest to make sure our listed roleplays get equal exposure. Even if that means scavenging for older ads uploaded months ago or reblogging an ad we have before.

— ASKS: Don't be shy! Send one in! We're lucky and have a good amount of following so far and we're constantly gaining followers! Need an opinion? A new writing partner? Advice? We hope we'll help find the right audience for you! Afraid of your ask getting buried? Don't worry, we plan to boost our asks (mainly our 1x1 asks) for a week to make sure it gets as much exposure as possible!

— TO ADMINS: We feel comfortable enough now to reach out to your places! Before, we limited ourselves to a few messages a week to avoid complications. If you see us come knocking at your door, we hope you'll give us a chance! We'd be happy to have your roleplay listed with us. :D We sent out a few asks days ago but we forgot who we reached out to already, we apologize if you see us twice! Does anyone else feel in this age of rp that requiring more than one timeline post a week (or even requiring it weekly at all) is a bit excessive? It just feels like forcing people to crank out a hollow status update which doesn't ultimately encourage any meaningful interaction between characters. How can we change this culture?

This is some food for thought! We hope other people may give their opinions! Especially if you admin at a roleplay or have formerly, maybe you can give more insight to this requirement.

From our perspective, as people who have been admins/mods for roleplays (this includes social media based roleplays) and have been part of roleplays that have such requirements, we always felt that making timeline posts felt... a teeny bit redundant but a necessity. If it were up to us, timeline posts would be best off as an option 100% as those who want to post, will give more into their posts.

Ultimately, it all depends on the writer as they are the ones in charge of their character's posts, but we found that if admins find ways to offer topics/prompts/etc or encourage character development, posts tend to have more "substance" in them. It also depends on admins, if they feel requiring multiple posts or requiring posts in general, then there must be a reason behind that or they might feel this is what their roleplay needs.

I wish this was an easy fix! With posts being such an ingrained part of roleplays these days, it'll require a lot of experimenting from admins.

We constantly see newer places try out new things and it's a breath of fresh air. If you see a roleplay open with unique activity requirements or concepts, take part in it! You might become apart of a new wave and start a trend.

Across the icy cliffs of The Peaks and the haunting shadows of The Ghostwood, something ancient has awakened. The prey this year is no ordinary beast, and its appearance has already twisted the land around it. What is it? Well, that is for one to find out when he or she comes across it.

Location: The Land of Snow — specifically, The Peaks, The Ghostwood, and surrounding wilds.
