The way you change your immediate reactions to things is that you catch yourself having an uncharitable/bigoted/overly judgmental thought and you catch it and replace it and then you do that a hundred times a day for your whole life and eventually one day like five years later you realize that you think differently now and you’ll always be working on something but that’s how life goes and that’s fine.

I fell asleep on the couch and woke up to Kevin O'Sullivan on Britain's Talk TV doing his morning monologue on YouTube.

It was a timely reminder of how many English people hold cruel and racist views about Ukrainians. Listening to that man put on a fake baby voice while he mocks "rabid lefties who support Ukraine" was a stark reminder that these people don't see Ukrainians as humans.

These are attitudes I encounter every day. I have family and friends tortured, fighting and killed in Ukraine, and Westerners treat us like a punchline to a joke and nothing more.

YOU forcibly disarmed Ukraine in the 90s, Britain. What is happening now is largely YOUR fault.

And any decent human being should stand against genocide.

Reminder that russians have kidnapped thousands of Ukrainian children and relocated them to russia where children are being "re-educated" to erase their Ukrainian identity and are being raised as russians.

Had a conversation with a non-Ukrainian friend today that really stuck with me. They were talking about visiting and casually mentioned maybe finding a cheap flight. And I just... Freezed for a moment before saying, "The airspace is closed."

They genuinely asked, "Why?"

It caught me off guard. I forget sometimes how easy it is for people outside of Ukraine to not know what's going on here. But the reality is, we're still in constant danger. Air raid sirens, missile attacks, sleepless nights—it hasn’t stopped.

I don’t want to be aggressive about it, but I do want to remind people: Ukraine is still fighting, still struggling, still suffering. Please don’t forget about us.

If you ask me, any Russian propaganda claiming "Invading Ukraine is done for the greater good" (because of biological weapons or whatever) is justification that automatically falls apart the moment you point out how Russia seems to deliberately target schools full of children and commits numerous different war crimes. Heroes don't intentionally attack what are clearly innocent people.

So, there really is no moral and rational justified reason to invade Ukraine. It's just Putin wanting more power and / or he is suffering from the same kind of paranoia as Stalin did. Most likely both.

I genuinely have no idea how anyone can look at this and honestly believe these are the actions of a benevolent nation!
