The moment "tech bros" get their hands on anything, they can't help but ruin it for everyone else. They really do be doing everything but making technology better. And then they'll call this slop "better" and "accessible" when really it's all a ploy for a quick buck.

Take drive thru with AI, for example. My local restaurants had started implementing them slowly here and there, and let me tell you, it doesn't make ordering food easy. It's the equivalent of trying to call your insurance, bank, or doctor, where the automated phone system isn't listening to you. In the end, your order is still wrong unless the staff decide to intervene (which is not always despite them listening, i may add). I started crying one time because I wanted a burger with extra cheese and tomato. The simplest command had made it go crazy and i spent 5-10 minutes trying to get my order right. So if even AI drive thrus aren't working, why are we depending on them for work?

I feel bad for the kids in this generation, too, because what used to be a simple google search for facts has turned into a god damn chore! Imagine trying to write essay papers with the state of the current internet! That is if anyone bothers to. Instead, everyone would rather be lazy and turn in school work that they fed into chatGPT. And even if you do write a paper yourself, an ai is just going to say you used a different ai to write it because you dared to write a sentence similar to the other millions of students across the country. Don't get me started on the plagiarism detection.

You can't even look up damn photographs anymore because AI generates slop faster than we take pictures. Look up kittens right now, and I guarantee 80% of it will be AI generated. Looking up art references has become even more of a tedious task than it did before.

Let's not even go into the perverted shit people have done with it? It may be a pretend person, but the parts butchered from them are real people!

Does it not disturb anyone that people are feeding YOUR baby pictures and YOUR baby videos into ai to make these weird "baby fashion shows"? They could be doing god knows what with YOUR baby!

Last year, a health insurance CEO got killed because of his reliance on ai to reject or approve (mostly reject) insurance claims. His AI got a lot of people killed, and preventable health conditions were worsened across America. It just so happened his AI rejected the wrong person, and karma caught up with him.

AI tools have a place and can be helpful in certain situations. But the reliance and straight-up theft make me think that the world doesn't deserve these tools. AI still isn't as refined or smart as everyone claims, no matter how much you train it. It will always be soulless slop that ended up making everyones lives harder than easier. All for a quick buck and a laugh.

This isn't about accessibility. This is about livelyhoods. This is about misinformation. This is about human life at steak.

Honestly at this point if you're still using ai after this, even if it's for a stupid profile picture, you are part of the problem and i only have to assume you're scum with how much you would have to actively ignore the people who have warned everyone about this.

My feed is full of these Ghibli AI slops, and that's very infuriating.

That AI shit was not only "trained" on Ghibli movies without their permission, but it also aims to replace them (and all artists).

If you share that kind of shit, you disrespect the very artists you pretend to like.

Respect the hard work, respect artists!
