Towel Drill For Feeling Left Wrist flexion (right handed player) #golfdrills (at Jim Mclean-Texas)

Wall drill number 11: I like this drill for a few things: 1. to work consistent width in the backswing (club head close to the wall but not touching) 2. to not "over reach" with the hands and extend my arms too much on the backswing (hit the wall) 3. to work lateral motion forward and alter the arc width coming down. You can see the clubhead is no where near the wall on the downswing. #walldrills (at Jim Mclean-Texas)

Wall Drill number 10: Is your takeaway excessively low and inside towards your body? Use a wall to work on your initial takeaway (about to hip high) and miss the wall with the club head. (at Jim Mclean-Texas)

Wall drill number 9: here a player and I are working to feel a little more bend through the waist (lowering the chest throughout transition) to help the amount of early extension into the ball. We are using the spine board to "push" the wall back before the hands and arms start down. #walldrills (at Jim Mclean-Texas)

Wall Dill number 8: use a doorway, corner wall or pillar and setup slightly away from the wall about 6-8 inches. Using your lead arm (left arm for the right handed golfer) make a small backswing motion and feel the wrist joint and back of the hand reach the wall before the fingers. This flexion through the lead wrist. This is a great drill for those who extend or cast the wrists in the downswing into impact. #walldrills (at Jim Mclean-Texas)

Wall Drill number 7: want to build core strength and power for golf? Use a softer medicine ball and a SOLID wall. Stand about 6 feet away from the wall, keep the medicine ball in front of your body while you turn back. Now throw the medicine ball into the wall as hard as you can by rotating your lower body, torso, and shoulders feeling like the arms aren't doing any of the work. Do 3 sets of 10 for your right and left side alternating between the two. #walldrills (at Jim Mclean-Texas)
