7 weeks old today, and this is his first night not sleeping in our bedroom. Of course we spend most of the night staring at him through the video monitor. #1stTimeParents #BabyStalker #GoToBedHesFine https://ift.tt/2UeShBE

Today was a big day for the Cosme Family. We had D3's one month appointment and I had my first diaper change "in the field" (success!). We celebrated by trying to figure out how one person does grocery shopping with an infant. I'm so thankful for my Bride. She is just as great a mom as she is my wife, and that's saying something! https://ift.tt/38wn1BR

While learning how to change a diaper and bathe our son I was warned by many people to get ready to be peed on - it's inevitable and it happens to everyone. I was even laughed at when I hoped to make it at least a month. Well, to this day, due to many proactive measures and diaper changing like a pit crew, I am proud to say he's a month and a day old and I've not been peed on! But Heather? Not so much! 😂 That's my boy! https://ift.tt/2v1hINe

We have our first (of 3) post-placement visit in one hour. This is one of the requirements before the finalization of the adoption. Every step along the way encourages me and reminds me of the faithfulness of God when we put our lives in his hands. Plus, I think the home visitor will love this sweet set up! Thanks Ma and Pa, your grandson loves the vibrating bouncer! https://ift.tt/2PoZZ9p

A caring coworker gifted us this book on developing good sleeping habits in your baby (Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child), but I'm having a hard time staying awake long enough to read it. https://ift.tt/2HTSLWW

This picture means so much to me. For years our church community has supported us in so many ways. They've grieved with us when we mourned and celebrated with us in our joys. On many many mornings I enjoyed thinking about what it's going to be like when the three of us get to walk in to greet our church family and we see the physical manifestation of years of hoping and praying. Like many other moments in my young fatherhood, this moment did not disappoint. God is faithful. https://ift.tt/2SQgMV4
