We had a lovely little walk around Pilley and Rockley that turned into something of a nature walk. Just under 4 miles but it was a nice change not to be walking on my own.
We came across a very tame squirrel, walked through some marvellous countryside, spotted a whole world on a flower and walked past a hetonry.
Lovely walking with my beautiful wife Jane.
Oh and Jane hugged a tree.

Starting our second day in Kildonan, Isle of Arran. Early morning circular from our cottage along the seafront and up through Auchenhew Wood and return by Drimlabarra.

It's been a good day today. Started by picking our son, also Dave, up at 8.00am to do some shopping. Back home for 9.30 and second breakfast, a slice of toast.
Packed myself some lunch and caught the bus to Elsecar to continue the walk I started yesterday.
Walked along the Trans Pennine Trail by the canal to Wombwell and then along to Worsbrough before striking out for home.
I covered just over eight and a half miles which took me over 400 miles so far.
Back home before 3.00pm and a little relax with a nice glass of Chablis, very nice indeed.
Early evening and we both went to Wakefield for Gobby In The Lobby, a great spoken word event.
Jane performed on the open mic, so proud of her.
