“HideKnižnica” Library — Identity

HideKnižnica is a project of an open community library, hidden at the Hidepark cultural center's stage in Nitra, Slovakia. I have created the visual language consisting of a variable logotype, typography and playful set of colours, with the overall aim of public inclusion.

The Shop Window Gallery is a public art space located on the main strip in the city of Trnava, Slovakia. The gallery presents site-specific exhibitions and performances.

I have worked as an editorial consultant and graphic designer of the catalogue, that captures first fifteen exhibitions presented in the gallery. The catalogue was produced with relatively low budget in limited printing editions.

The brief for the final project for Advanced Typography course, was to design a magazine that: “proposes to reflect on all aspects of typography, including its history, and whose contents are deliberately eclectic.” Design process was carried as an exercise in visual storytelling and typographic expression. The process was influenced by pre-made restrictions (two colours only) and invented ones (e.g. system of type sizes). Photography © peterlancaric.com

Festival of the Different Culture 2018— Event Identity 5th season of the small community festival celebrating D.I.Y. spirit and cooperation between creative individuals and communities was initiated by revitalization of an old underground walk path. This grassroots activity inspired the concept behind the festival identity: Pattern full of black and white posters glued to the wall, and the “Different” =“Inej” (in Slovak) in bright rainbow hues that stand out.

Kubik Nápadov is non-profit organization creating space for various crafts, arts and movements. For it's fifth year anniversary, I have created an organic visual language based on preliminary cubic shape supported with a Ku5ik logotype. With great restrictions in budget we have utilized the available production methods and skills in creative collaboration between community members. As a result the various identity applications successfully represented the centre for the whole year.
