Cal and I ran the YYC Laps for Life yesterday supporting cancer research at Foothills Hospital. This was the second year for the event. Cancer research is a subject dear to our hearts. We would love to see this event grow. The director and creator, Paul, lost his father to cancer and is passionate about making the run the best it can be.
In the end, Cal and I did eleven laps together. Then, he got in the car to go swimming and I ran another 9 km home. It was a super-super day.

Last year, I was used as a pilot project for CriticalSpeed Maui Running Camp. I’m so pumped it’s actually going through for January 2020. This is me running up the road to the summit of Haleakala. It was so amazing - 17.7 km with 3000 feet of vertical gain, with my coach, Calvin Zaryski, supporting me the whole way on his bike. It was super-epic.
I can’t wait to share this adventure with other runners. I hope you will have a look at this link to learn more. The accommodations are beautiful. I got to sample the catering (yusss!).
