. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁ Etsy Shop Update . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁
I haven’t been posting as much content as I have in previous years — I’ve just been tired and needed a break. The world feels pretty heavy right now. I used to share art almost every day. I loved creating and posting it. But lately, I’ve just felt worn out. I still have a lot of ideas, but with everything going on, it’s hard to feel like making art fits into the moment.
I’ve been busying myself with crafts and bookbinding, which is actually what my Etsy store started out as when I created it back in 2008. I’m having a lot of fun creating these, especially since I get a little antsy when I have to stand around all day with little else to do.
I’m trying to stay present and enjoy the small things, but I miss my friends—my chosen family—back in the city. And I hate how this country keeps pushing to take away their rights and freedoms.
In the meantime, my shelves are getting too full with these books I’m binding to pass the time. Most of them are slowly making their way onto my Etsy so if anyone is interested in taking them off my hands, feel free to browse the newest section of my Etsy shop for these hand bound books!

it all started because of this twitter user pointing out that the Osaka Expo 2025 venue looks like a setting out of a detco movie (x)

Witchtober Day 22 - Bread
Conium maculatum, known as hemlock, is a highly poisonous flowering plant in the carrot family Apiaceae. It is a hardy plant capable of spreading and becoming an invasive weed. All parts of the plant are toxic, especially the seeds and roots, and especially when ingested. The plant has an unpleasant odor that carries with the wind. The hollow stems of the plant are deadly for up to three years after the plant has died.
This one took soooooo long, and I don’t even like how it turned out :(

Witchtober Day 21 - Tooth
Taraxacum officinale, the dandelion or common dandelion, is a herbaceous perennial flowering plant in the daisy family. The common dandelion is well known for its yellow flower heads that turn into round balls of many silver-tufted fruits that disperse in the wind. The common name dandelion comes from the French dent de lion, or “lion’s tooth”, in reference to the plant’s jagged-edged leaves.

Witchtober Day 15 - Enchanter
Circaea lutetiana, known as broad-leaved enchanter's nightshade, is a plant in the evening primrose family, Onagraceae. The genus name comes from the enchantress Circe of Greek mythology and the specific designation is derived from Lutetia, the Latin name for Paris, which was sometimes referred to as the "Witch City". Despite its name it is not especially toxic, but contains a lot of the astringent tannin.
I'm officially caught up with the challenge! Which means I'm about the run behind because each of these definitely takes me more than a day to finish. RIP.
Are you ready for tomorrow?

Witchtober Day 14 - Crow (Holly)
“Wing of Bat” is the ancient folklore name for Holly leaves. Other names for Ilex Aquifolium include common holly, English holly, European holly, or occasionally Christmas holly. It is the species of holly long associated with Christmas, and previously the Roman festival of Saturnalia. Its glossy green prickly leaves and bright red berries (produced only by the female plant) are represented in wreaths, garlands and cards wherever Christmas is celebrated.
Are you ready for tomorrow? Because I'm definitely running behind at this point:
