Missing your HS posts very much! Since Miray definitely won’t be returning given her new project, will you be posting anything (even just occasionally) regarding the new/old season(s)? If yes, looking forward to September! If no, just wanted to let you know I enjoyed your old posts very much :)

Hi there! That's very sweet of you to say, thank you. 💖 I'd heard about Miray's new project Bize Bir Sey Olmaz, but I didn't come back when that news broke because what I was hearing was that it is a digital series (8 episodes) that could be done shooting by late September ish. Which was also when they were projecting the start of filming for HS. So it was still inconclusive for me at that time. But with the news breaking that Season 3 of Hudutsuz Sevda/Halo has been postponed (cancelled?) as of yesterday, I have returned! I had no interest in watching a new season if that was how they ended Zeynep's story. And I'm going to personally consider it a cliffhanger unless something else is filmed and released, since she is canonically alive as Halil Ibrahim was when the same thing happened to him at the end of Season 1. I would have preferred that they came back and finished the story in a satisfying way, but if they weren't going to do that, then the show was already over for me. I was hoping this was all a behind the scene snafu that could be fixed, but this also it means that it can't get any worse either. I still do love most of the show (excluding the last episodes) and I plan on still celebrating the things I loved about it here, even if there's only a few of us still around. I've been in a mostly dead fandom before, so that won't deter me in the slightest. I hope everyone is doing good! Thank you for sticking around, and feel free to message me again anytime 💖💖💖

Blog Update

The short version: While I love so much of this show and these characters, I don't see a path forward for Hudutsuz Sevda without Zeynep Karasu, or at least not a version of the show that I have any interest in watching. And while I think that it is unlikely that the people making decisions will reverse course and correct the disrespectful, unrewarding and quite frankly sloppy writing choices made at the end of the second season, I don't think it's impossible. So I won't be posting or interacting with any Hudutsuz Sevda content until either there is official confirmation that she will be in the third season, or that she won't. ADDED: This is joining the blackout organized on by fans other platforms, I was in a rush to get this out and forgot to include that in the final draft. My thoughts on what I currently plan to do if she doesn't return below the cut!

A third season that ends Zeynep's story in the way the season finale doesn't work for me. I might farm clips for AU sets and vids, but I just don't have any interest in the show going forward if she dies the way she (apparently) did.

And to be completely honest, even Miray Daner's unlikely return might not be enough for me to continue to want new canon content from them. Because I really, strongly disliked almost every writing choice in the last two episodes, from side character's storylines to the way the villains were written, to say nothing of how my favorites were warped to set up that ending. However, I still truly love this show for what it did right. And for me, that was almost 2 complete seasons! Which works out to roughly 8 seasons of an American show, so that's not too bad of a run. I really wish it had ended on a high, or even a mid, note. But sadly that isn't what we got. So I do plan on returning to this fandom and these characters. I have so many moments I still want to gif and enjoy, and rewatching them even now my love hasn't dimmed. So see you all in September (hopefully earlier!) and thank you for joining me celebration in the things we loved.
