Twenty One Pilots is my favourite band, I've been listening to them for about 10 years. I was first introduced (like many) from hearing Stressed Out and Ride on the car radio (haha get it?). Then I looked further into the Blurryface album and fell in love. I've known for years I wanted some sort of tattoo that represents them. Last year I was fortunate enough to go to the Clancy world tour and that solidified my decision. I've had a rough couple of years and these lyrics especially really resinate with me. To me, these lyrics are about moving on. To find peace with life and myself. To leave the negatives behind. The start of my adulthood, and the start of a new chapter of healing for me. "Peace will win" is in Tyler's handwriting and "Fear will lose" is in Josh's.

2 hours

In 2 hours it will be my 18th birthday. I will officially be 18 at 2:48pm. As a Canadian, I will be able to vote, play lottery tickets, and legally drink in Quebec.

I can't believe I will be a legal adult.

In my mind, I'm still that little girl who was crying to God asking why my father doesn't love me. I'm still that little girl crying in my mother's arms asking why dad hasn't called to say happy birthday.

I'm still that young teenager pleading with any male of authority to tell me I'm a "good girl". I'm still that young teenager holding myself as I cried myself to sleep the night before my birthday. I'm still that young teenager wiping my mascara off my cheeks as I got ready to go out for dinner.

In 2 hours I will be 18. I will have a say in society. I will be my own person.

How? How am I going to be a legal adult? I'm just a little girl. I'm just a little girl with twinkle toe shoes. I'm just a little girl with a round belly. I'm just a little girl with clips in my hair and gaps in my teeth.

But I'm not?

I'm a young adult high on marijuana, tears threatening to reach my chin, sucking on flavoured air, my breasts peaking out of my top, all while my eyeliner is smudged.

In 2 hours... It will be my 18th birthday.

18 years alive... so far, and for now.

Hi! My name is Ray (she/her) and I'm starting a blog! I love writing and want to share said writing. This will kind of be an online journal where I share thoughts, stories, book/movie reviews and well.. whatever I want!

Favourite Music Artists: Twenty One Pilots, Arctic Monkeys, Taylor Swift, The 1975, One Direction (and all solo careers, rest in peace Liam), And many others but those are my main ones.

I have two dogs, I love reading and crafting. I LOVE going to concerts. I'm an aspiring pastry chef and will be going to college in September!

My favourite colours: Dark green, Deep blue, Wine red, Soft pink

My favourite animal are elephants. I collect crystals and love tarot and spiritual aspects. I collect Calico Critters (Sylvanian Families) and I'm Canadian! I love all things makeup, fashion, hair and nails.
