Thinking about Reiner... I’m thinking about how he called the people on the island “monsters.” What if he met y/n there, what if they’d become close and even fell in love, got into a relationship. How they would then have to fight one another once it came out who he was, and be one anothers enemies. Would he call them a monster after the fact, years later retelling the horror stories? Or what he thought was a horror story, a war story. Would he mean it? Would it hurt to say it? Would he even think of y/n when he said it? Does he even still remember how much he loved that person?

Road Trip | George MacKay
Tumblr media
requested: George, Dean and reader (she has a crush on George) in a car trip, can you write? Thanks (send me some requests!)
warnings: Fluff
word count: 1,514
a/n: Gif is not mine. Also me writing something short and sweet? Impossible.
When the week started, this was not where Y/N expected to be. In fact, it was quite the opposite. With all the work she had piling up she’d thought she’d be at her home, locked away from the outside world, bound to never see the sunlight again. But here she was, dragged away from her stressed life and pushed into a car, being told they were going on a very much needed road trip by two of her friends - one being a little more than a friend to her. She was very hesitant to go, the thought of leaving all of her work behind for the weekend only added to her stress. Thinking about all of the inevitable due dates that were creeping up on her but as she stared at the puppy-eyed men who were named Dean and George, she found it very hard to say no to them. Now here she was, sitting in the front passenger seat with her sock covered feet on the dash and her favorite, or rather the only pair of sunglasses sat upon her face.
“I really can’t believe you’ve convinced me to do this.” She thinks out loud, eyes locked on the moving scenery in front of her. “Oh, cheer up, Y/N! It’ll be fine I promise, you’ll be thanking us by the end of it. Begging us to stay.” Dean says, and the woman doesn’t even have to look at him to know he’s smirking which makes her scoff. “Yeah, alright, we’ll see.” Then she feels hands reaching from behind her and resting upon her shoulders giving a tight squeeze to them. George had leaned forward in his seat behind her, giving her a little massage almost but it only made her tenser, face blooming in a violent blush. “Relax, it’ll be fine. You’ll still have time to get everything you need done by the time you get back.” His words are a lot more reassuring and less teasing than Dean’s but it didn’t ease the butterflies that fluttered in her stomach, feeling as though she was about to turn into putty any second. She tries to take a big breath through her nose, in an attempt to get over her silly crush on him. Then she sighs, realizing that she needed to just relax because it really wasn’t going to do her any good to be stressed and uptight the whole time. Might as well enjoy herself and leave the worrying for when she returns home. “Yeah, you’re probably right. I just need to loosen up.” She responds finally, giving a little look over her shoulder to see him looking at her with a smile. She smiles back, ignoring the burning tips of her ears. She hoped he didn’t question her rosy cheeks.
After finally coming to the realization that it would be pointless to worry while she was away, Y/N finally began to enjoy herself. It wasn’t a really long road trip, only about 3 or 4 hours to get where they were wanting to go but they enjoyed every second of it like it was going to take them ages. “Oh my god! I haven’t heard this song in so long.” Y/N gasped, moving so her feet were no longer tucked underneath her but on the ground - how they were supposed to be. “Can we fall, one more time? stop the tape and rewind. Oh and if you walk away I know I'll fade, cause there is nobody elseeee.” She sang passionately, laughing along with the two men that were laughing at her, but she didn’t care. Honestly, this was the most fun she’d had in a while and it made her feel carefree- like she was a teenager. She turned around as much as she could in her seat to look back to George, whose face appeared to be just as flushed as her own, his smile so wide that it crinkled the corners of his eyes - just how she adored it. “It's gotta be you, only you... '' As they sang it together, it really didn’t process in her mind for a second - and then it did. Lips fell silent, and a bright blush bloomed over her cheeks, a second passed and he repeated the lyrics just how they were in the song but it felt different. It almost felt it was directed at her, their eyes locked together in what felt like an intimate moment for the two of them. “How about a quick stop? Get some snacks, pee maybe?” Dean’s voice broke them from their heated staring content, making both of them clear their throats, heated blushes burning their face and ears. “Sure, why not,” George says, a hoarse tone to his voice, leaning back in his seat as he rubbed the palms of his hand on his thighs.
Y/N stood on the snack aisle, hand on her chin as she stared in query at the different snack options. She hated deciding which one to pick, not really knowing what she was craving, or if she even wanted anything. A clear of a throat behind her made her jump slightly before she turned around to see George. A breathy laugh fell from her lips as she gave him a smile, trying to not let her mind linger back to what had happened in the car. “Can’t pick?” He asks, smile mirroring hers as he stood with his hands in his pockets. A sigh falls from her lips as she nods, “Yeah
in my defense, there are so many options.” Y/N tells him, trying to defend herself in a joking tone. It earns a laugh from him which is what she was hoping for. She bites down on her lip, the corners of her lips tugging into a closed-lip smile. “Hmm, I can recommend that one there. I think you’d like it.” He looks as though he was really giving it some thought. He had stepped closer, now only inches away from her, the smell of his cologne washing over her. The tips of her ears burned with a feverish heat, and she really hopes that he can't tell. That seemed to happen a lot around him. “Yeah? Alright, I’m trusting you. If I hate it, I’m blaming it on you.” It’s a joking comment, and he knows it. Though what he doesn’t know is that it’s a joking comment to cover up how flustered and nervous she was. He laughs with her, and then he leans over to grab the bag for her. He places his hand on the small of her back gently, which forces her to stand straighter, mind going blank for a second before she processed what was happening.
It felt as though her chest had just exploded, a fiery warmth swallowing her whole. Was this a way to show her he might be interested in her? Was it nothing more than something platonic? Was she overthinking this? Probably, but maybe she wasn’t. No matter what it was, she couldn’t deny that it felt right. To have him so close to her was something that brought her much comfort, it also fogged over all of her senses. “Hey, George?” ... “Yeah?”
“I like you.” It fogged over her senses so much that she blurted out the truth about her feelings for him. It’s quiet for a minute too long, and Y/N feels the dread filling up inside her. “I
I’m sorry, I don’t know why I said th-” She’s cut off by him grabbing her gently arms, turning her around so she was facing him and then his lips are on hers in a rushed movement. Just like before, her mind goes blank. Instead of an embarrassed warmth, this time there’s a fuzzy warmth that wraps around her and made her melt into his hold. His arms are slid around her waist so he’s hugging her almost, and her hands are placed on his chest as they shared a sweet, and gentle kiss. Neither of them moves to pull away, just enjoying one another’s presence at that moment. Their senses focused on each other. “Ready to go?
Oh my god, I- Um.” Dean’s voice can be heard, he stuttered slightly at the sight he just witnessed. The news of them liking each other wasn’t something new to him, he’d guessed it a while ago but decided it was best for them to figure it out - even if it was hard for him to do that. It was then that they pulled away, hazy from just everything that had happened. Y/N catches sight of Dean moving away from them, but she didn’t really care in that moment as she looks back to the man in front of her. “I like you too.” He whispers, their noses practically brushing against one another. “And I’m really glad that you came.” The butterflies that swarmed her stomach seemed to never really end, a bright smile capturing her lips as she stares up to him with a look of pure adoration, “Me too.”

Call Me Will | William Schofield

a/n: Back on my writing nonsense! I hope this is alright, I haven’t written in a hot second so this might be a little rough. Also I love this concept and might continue this in more chapters? If anyone would be interested in that! ♡
It was odd, why were they risking a nurse? It wasn’t common for them to send valuable nurses away in a time of need but Y/N was not going to question it. She was told to follow her orders and be good, so that was exactly what she was doing, but that didn’t mean that she wasn’t curious and hesitant about said orders. She wasn’t exactly sure as to what was happening, the men in charge were very brief with her only telling her that she was to go with two men to deliver an important message, as to what that message was she did not know. It must have been very important if they were allowing a nurse to go with them. Y/N figured her only use would be to be there in case of a medical emergency, but still, she’d be dead weight to the soldiers. Her life might be at more risk and she would be putting theirs in risk too as she was not the one wielding a gun in order to protect herself. Her life was in the hands of two men she did not know, and if they would bother to protect her was something that truly terrified her. This was just too odd all the way around.
“Why the hell is she comin’ with us?” It was a shocked, and almost angry whisper that wasn’t so quiet. Her eyes were glued on the ground for a moment before she glanced up to look between the two men. One was a little shorter, and plumper with all the layers compared to the other, not that she cared, and the other man was rather tall and slimmer. Both noticeably handsome. Her eyes couldn’t help but linger on the taller man, despite trying to pull them away. Hadn’t it been under this situation, she might be blushing to be in the company of such handsome men, but this was no situation for such a thing. “I really don’t know.” The taller one responded with a confused and exasperated tone to his voice. The woman couldn’t help but sigh in response to their conversation, “I’m sorry to interrupt, but I’m just as confused as both of you. I don’t see the sense in this, as many ways as I look at it I just don’t see it. I may be a nurse and I might be helpful in the scenario that someone gets hurt, but I don’t wield a weapon and I’ll only slow you down in the long run. But, there isn’t anything we can do about it, orders were clear, as much as we may dislike them.” Silence falls around them after that, wide eyes staring at her as she stared back. The taller one was the first to nod his head, sniffing as he rubbed the back of his neck. “M’ Schofield.” He introduced himself, and then the shorter one, “Blake. Tom Blake.” Y/N nods her head, a small smile gracing her lips, “Y/L/N, but I prefer Y/N.” These were the men that her life was in the hands of and vice versa. At least they were nice, unlike some of the men she’s met while being a nurse for the war. “We really ought to get goin’ now, we only have a short time to get there.” The man whose name she now knows as Blake says. Suddenly it felt too real, and dread filled her stomach to the brim and a dark expression drug her features down. There was a bad feeling in her, and she just couldn’t shake it off.
Much to her surprise, the men in charge had offered her a change in clothing. A uniform just like the soldiers were wearing, they said it was so she wasn’t as noticeable in her nurse uniform. She was grateful for that, the thought of doing everything she’d need to do in her nurse uniform was something that she knew wouldn’t have worked well together. It was a tad big on her form, but that wasn’t something she was going to complain about. It would provide a bit more warmth than her thin dress and some layers, and it would also make it easier to move. Y/N wasn’t really sure as to what she should be doing, so she watched carefully whenever Schofield and Blake made advances. Her hands shook in fear and her stomach churned with nerves, the mud was quick to cling to her skin and clothing, making her body noticeably heavier. At least she didn’t have the heavy bags on her like the two soldiers who she was accompanying, that was another thing she was grateful for. In that moment, for every bad thing that was happening, she tried to find a good thing - there were very few - in an attempt to keep her sane. As she crawled through the mud, trying to stay really as low as possible, her eyes looked around her trying to keep an eye out for anything. It wasn’t until the men slowly stood up that she did too, almost mirroring their actions. She felt the need to stay close behind them just for her own safety, though she didn’t want to be too close in case it’d bother them for any reason. When she signed up to become a nurse in the war, she was not expecting this to happen, not even in the slightest.
It was eerily quiet, the foul smell that followed them everywhere had made her gag once or twice before she had started to somewhat used to it - not that she ever really would. Her watchful eyes took note of everything, including how close that Schofield was standing to her, how he slowed his long stride in order to allow her to stay close. How he kept glancing back at her, only for a second before he looked back in the front, surveying the land. It seemed as though he was making sure she was okay, that she was safe. The thought made her stomach stir, maybe she could rely on them more than she thought she could. It was comforting, made her feel the slightest bit safer in the war zone where anything could happen. They continued on a few more steps before the sound of an airplane ripped through the air, leaving Y/N terrified and clueless as to what she should do, skin blossoming with goosebumps. Schofield grabbed ahold of her hand quickly and dragged her with him to a part in the dirt that was almost carved out, perfect for hiding. Bodies were pressed tightly against one another in an effort to all squeeze together. “Stay still.” It’s said in a rush, but quietly as they sat stiff, balled together. Y/N held her breath as they passed over, her eyes pricking with tears as she sat as still as she could. It wasn’t until Schofield looked up and announced it was one of there’s that she finally let out her breath and tried to relax her stiff body. She looked down and saw that Schofield and she were still gripped to each other. Hands tightly holding on for dear life, his shoulders overlapping hers in a somewhat protective manner. She smiled softly as they stood, “Thank you, Schofield.” His tired eyes looked into hers and nodded his head. A soft smile graced his lips in return. “Will, call me Will.”

No Regrets | Dean-Charles Chapman

a/n: Tbh I had been wanting to write some Dean content so this was the perfect reason to do so. But, I hope this is okay! ♡
It was so odd, it felt like it should’ve felt normal but it really wasn’t. It wasn’t like no one knew about Y/N and Dean, their families knew and their close friends of course. Their relationship wasn’t something that Dean wanted to hide, he was very close with his family and Y/N was an important part of his life so it was quite natural for him to open up about her. The same with Y/N, she’d been very open with her family about Dean once he became a big part in her life, which seemed to happen fairly quickly. Then came introducing them to their friends, which was pretty normal and okay feeling. The only people who didn’t know about their love for one another was the outside world, the cameras that followed them around, the fans and interviewers. At first it was hard, it was hard to not be lovely in public, or be seen together too often in order to keep their life somewhat private while being under the spotlight. While it was hard at first, it became a little bit easier for them. Though, once they realized that they didn’t want to stay private anymore and just wanted to be able to love one another openly without a worry of who might see, it was more odd, being so open and vulnerable to the world.
It started with an interview that Y/N had for a movie she acted in, which really wasn’t much to her surprise. “So,” the interviewer crossed her legs and leaned forward, and excited smile on her face as she tucked the cards she had in her hands under her leg, “A little birdy told me that you have someone that’s stolen your heart.” And there it is, Y/N still smiles politely as she intertwined her fingers and leaned back in the chair comfortably. “Your little birdy is right, I do. He has stolen my heart, and I can confidently say that I’ve stolen his too.” She responds, meaning every word of it but something about it felt wrong. Speaking about him so openly like this for millions of people to see. She wished it hadn’t felt normal to hide it anymore, but it did. Her answer pulled an excited response for her interviewer, “How long have you two been together? You two are public now, but I have a feeling you were together for a while before that.” Now she’s a little uncomfortable, but she stills continues to smile, though she shifts in her spot, “Uh yeah, we were but I’d rather keep that a secret just for us.” She tries to be nice about it, not wanting to come off as rude so she plays it off with a joking tone and a wink to make it seem friendly. The interviewer must have gotten the hint because she quickly goes back to the topic of the movie, which Y/N is grateful for. As much as she loved Dean, it would get some taking used to be to being public with the world, after having it been their little secret between friends and family. “So, moving on ...”
Then it was them being together in public, Dean’s arm slung over Y/N’s shoulder and she held her arm up to hold his hand, leaning into his side every once in a while as she laughed at something he said. For a moment it felt like they were normal, like they weren’t well known people in the acting industry. It was amazing, almost like a dream, until they saw an all too familiar flash from the other side of the street, and then it wasn’t anymore. Of course they had to be seen, an annoyed sigh feel from Y/N’s lips, “Are you kidding me.” It’s said in almost a whine. Dean rubs his thumb over the back of her hand in a soothing manner, “Just ignore them.” Oh how they both wished they could, but that proved to be harder than expected as the man taking photos of them quickly made his way across the street and followed after them in an attempt to pry answers from them. “Y/N, Dean, lovely evening isn’t it? It’s beautiful, just like seeing the two of you together. I see you two are becoming used to the public life already, how’s that going for you?” “It’s going great, man. Now, if you’ll excuse us please.” Dean said politely, though there was a touch of desperation to it, trying to get the guy to take the hint and back off. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case, the man proceeded to try and ask more questions while obviously recording them until they had finally moved far enough away that he just kind of gave up, thankfully. They could both agree, that was the part of fame that wouldn’t mind giving up, but sadly it was apart of the territory and they truly loved their jobs. What would life been like for them, hadn’t they chosen to become actors?
As they finally made their way back to their home safely, an exhausted sigh fell from Y/N’s lips as soon she opened the door. She was so grateful just to be in the comfort of her home, with her loving boyfriend, and maybe a cup of tea with a cookie later. “Well, that was unexpected.” She looks back to him to see him nodding in return, looking just as tired as she felt. Dealing with paparazzi was always exhausting, no matter what, it just sucked the energy from you. Y/N kicked her shoes off, pulling her hair out of her face, then plopped onto the sofa. As soon as Dean sat next to her, she nestled herself into his side, and Dean comfortably wrapped his arms around her. Her head rests on his shoulder, eyes staring at the blank TV screen, clearly in thought. “I thought it wouldn’t be weird, but it is. I miss people for some reasons, but I’m also glad we don’t have to worry about holding hands or even being seen together anymore. ” It’s said with a sigh, her hand moving to hold his in her lap, fingers playing with his subconsciously. Dean nods, understanding completely. “It’ll die down soon, ‘m sure of it. They can’t be obsessed with us forever, now can they. I know we’re a hot couple power and all but still.” He jokes, earning a laugh from the girl. He presses a kiss to the top of her head, “You don’t think we made a mistake going public, do you?” His question makes Y/N shift her head to look at him, eyebrows furrowed. “Definitely not, I want people to know that we’re together. I want to be able to hold your hand when and wherever I want too. We made the right decision, I know that for sure. I love you and I’m tired of hiding that. I don’t care what we have to go through, if it means being with you.” It’s said with honesty and it makes Dean smile, a smile of happiness. He leans forward, connecting their lips in a sweet kiss, nose brushes against one another. “I love you too.” He whispers over her lips.

You should write for George Mackays character in 11.22.63, Bill. He’s like a southern bad boy who’s soft at times which makes my heart go 😔đŸ„ș✋ literally no one writes for him. If you haven’t watched it it’s on Hulu. I think you’d be really good at writing for bill 😳
Oh my goodness, I watched that a while ago but didn’t even realize it was George! I’ll rewatch it and start writing imagines for him, thank you for sending this in! ❀

Feedback is always welcome! Would you like to see more first person imagines rather than third person? I definitely know that I want to try and stop writing more backstory than the interactions themselves, and focus more on that part in my writings instead. Even it out a little bit I think. 💌

a/n: Thank you so much for sending in this request! ♡ It’s way longer than I had first anticipated it being so I hope that’s okay.
“I’m telling you, Y/N, you and George would really like each other and I’m not just saying that!” It’s the same line Y/N has heard a handful of times before, just with a different variation to it which always made the woman roll her eyes at her friend. Heavy sigh falls from her lips as she leans back in her chair, head rolling to the side as her eyes squinted ever so slightly at Florence who only stared back with a look of mischievous gleaming in her eyes, a faux innocent pout and furrow of her eyebrows. “Flor, I’ve told you, I don’t have time for that stuff right now.” She’s said it so many times that she’d begun to not believe herself anymore. Was she really that busy that she couldn’t even meet the guy?
The thought of it made her nervous, she hadn’t put herself out there like that in a while and she wasn’t sure if she was really ready to date again after such a long time. Then again, she thought to herself, if she didn’t do it now, the possibility of it ever happening would just get pushed out further and further until she was one of those ladies who never settle down, and just adopts 12 dogs and 4 cats, and maybe a couple of fish too. A groan leaves her lips at the thought of it as her fingers comb through her hair, gripping at the roots while her other hand rested upon the table, her fingertips drumming against the wood. She made the mistake of looking back up to Florence, who smiled encouragingly as if she knew the struggles she was facing in her mind. “You won’t regret this, and if you do, then at least you put yourself out there.” Curse herself for becoming friends with such an amazing, strong-minded person. The hand that was entangled in her hair fell to her lap as she let out a defeated sigh, eyes closing for just a moment, “Fine. I’ll do it.” Little did Y/N know, it was the same struggle on the other side of the line. George was hesitant but still less than she had been to meet him. His reasoning behind not being so sure about this was that it seemed like his career was at a point where he’d be busy a lot of the time. After 1917, he had been reached out to by a lot of companies in the hope he might consider coming for an audition. Not to mention all of the interviews he was still doing with his co-star. So, between that and just trying to live a somewhat normal life with his family, there seemed to be hardly any time for dating at the moment. Don’t get him wrong, though, he wanted to meet this woman named Y/N, he’d heard so much about her from Florence practically bragging up how amazing she was. He wanted to put a face to the name already, as his curiosity was only growing stronger about her. What was the worst that could happen? So, he had finally said yes to the proposal.
Y/N stared at her reflection, nerves balling up in her stomach making it feel like there were a thousand butterflies in her. Her fingertips picked at the fabric of her shirt. This was maybe the worst part about the whole date, picking out the perfect outfit. She liked the one she had on, it was a nice middle ground, not too fancy but also not exactly casual either, but it didn’t stop her from worrying. “Are you sure this looks good?” She fussed, turning around to look at Florence who sat on her bed with a satisfied smile on her face, “Yes, I’m sure. You look beautiful and I’m sure George is going to think the same thing.” In return to her comment, Y/N gave a nod of her head exhaling a big sigh trying to breathe out all of her nerves. She felt beautiful and that gave her some confidence, and as much as she was nervous, she was also excited. It seemed as though it’d been such a long time coming for her to meet the man named George, who supposedly was perfect for her as much as she was for him. At that point, she just wanted to meet him finally. She could feel the palms of her hands growing sweaty as she chewed at the inside of her lip, she began to think about how different they were. He was a brilliant actor, well known for his work and well, she was just Y/N, she wasn’t known for anything. She wasn’t one to be starstruck over celebrities and that much was obvious considering one of her best friends was Florence Pugh, another amazing actress. She couldn’t help but worry that he wouldn’t want to date anyone that wasn’t in the same industry as him as it wouldn’t be easy for him to talk about the struggles, with her not really understanding it in the same way. The idea was silly to think that, and even if he was like that, then he obviously wasn’t the one for her. Though, just as quick as that thought entered her mind, she shook it away with a soft sigh. From what she’s heard about him through Florence, he wasn’t like that, he was really down to earth, a gentleman and very sweet which was highly reassuring to her because she wasn’t sure if she would have accepted otherwise. “I have a great feeling about this, I just know that you two are going to get along so well. I expect to be the first to be told when you two are engaged.” A sharp gasp is heard throughout the room, “Florence!” Y/N’s face had turned an aggressive red, the tips of her ears burning as she shook in her head in disbelief at her friend. By the tone of her voice and faux innocent smile on her face, she could see that Florence was just joking but it was too embarrassing for her. “My God, if I didn’t know better I’d think you were already planning our wedding
” Her hands rub against her pants, trying to soothe herself. A wink is given in Y/N’s direction, a smirk dripping with mischievous, “You never know, maybe I am.”
Any excitement she had felt now vanished in the pit of nerves that was eating at her, her stomach was swirling in a fit. Her fingertips drummed against her thigh as she sat not so patiently. She was very aware of Florence looking at her, “Y/N, it’s gonna be okay. I promise.” The nervous woman gave a nod of her head before letting out a deep sigh, which worked slightly to soothe her. She wondered if George was as nervous as she was. Turns out he was, he had tried about 5 different outfits before he finally settled on one and had fussed with his hair so much that he had to put more hair product in his hair in order for it to look okay again. He hadn’t been this nervous for a date in a while, maybe it was because he hadn’t actually met the woman yet, and Florence hyping her up so much. He seriously felt like a teenage boy going on a date with the prettiest girl in school - a nervous wreck. His stomach was in a fit of butterflies and nerves as he swallowed deeply, exiting his car while checking his watch only to see that he was a little early. This led him to believe she wouldn’t be there yet although what he didn’t know was that Y/N and Florence had also arrived a bit early and were also making their way to the small cafe that Florence decided on. His eyes had been glued on the ground the whole time that he made the small walk from his car to the cafe, and when he looked up, he was very shocked to see the familiar blonde and a face he hadn’t seen before. Quickly putting two and two together, he froze and his eyes grew wide, lips parting. He gazed at the woman he guessed was Y/N, soaking in every feature of hers, finding that he was holding his breath. Cheeks grew hot and turned a shade of pink, his heart just about to burst from his chest. Has he ever seen someone so beautiful? Certainly not
was this what love at first sight was like? Y/N’s eyes scanned her surroundings as she walked, she hadn’t been in this area before but she thought it was beautiful. It seemed very quiet and peaceful, which helped a lot to calm her down quite a bit - she was thankful for it. It wasn’t until her eyes settled in front of her that she found herself coming to a very sudden halt, an explosion of butterflies erupting in her stomach, as she found staring at George. He was a lot taller than she was expecting, as Florence failed to mention it in all the times she spoke about him. His hair was tousled, but not in a messy way if that made any sense and it made her want to run her finger through it. His eyes were a beautiful shade of blue and they knocked the breath from her chest. She’d seen maybe one picture of him after begging her friend to show her one - she knows she could’ve just looked him up but that felt weird and wrong - but it really did him no justice. He was stunning. She noted the faint shade of pink that dusted over his somewhat tanned face, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips involuntarily. He was beautiful, and she was completely enamored. She found herself feeling dizzy for a second, could this be love at first sight? Her thoughts mirrored his own. “George! Good to see you, I’m sure you’ve guessed it by now but this is the lovely Y/N I’ve told you so much about.” For a moment, she didn’t really process what was happening until she did, and then she found herself blushing as well, her smile growing but now it had become shy. Her fingers working to tuck her hair behind her ear as she followed her friend closer to him. Her eyes never once left him, and she couldn’t help but notice how he too seemed to have been knocked from deep thought like she had been a moment prior. Meeting one another in the middle, they found themselves gazing into one another’s eyes, having completely forgotten about the world around them, “It’s so nice to finally meet you, Y/N.” George says, his voice deep and smooth, almost like honey, giving Y/N a feeling she couldn’t quite explain. “And you, George.” She responds, offering her hand for him to shake as she suddenly remembers her manners. As he took her hand, she noticed how it was warm and soft, despite the few calluses he had. His touch felt right to her, as did hers to him. It was just like Florence had said, maybe they were perfect for one another.
It was considerably later now, hours have passed since they first sat down. The sun now setting outside which made the dimmed lights in the cafe much more noticeable. They had decided to sit at a table in the corner where it was slightly more private with there being other people there as well. They could both agree that the date was going much better than either of them had expected. Any worried thoughts they’d had before? Vanished the moment they made eye contact with another. A laugh bubbled from Y/N’s chest, finding herself leaning forward at a joke George had made. It was amazing, she had been so nervous and hesitant to even go on the date with him and now she was having an amazing time. She felt so comfortable with him and that was the weirdest part of it all, not usually being so open and comfortable so fast. It really just felt right, almost as though she was a puzzle piece and he was the only part that fit perfectly with her. A happy sigh fell from her lips, tilting her head to the side slightly, “It’s funny, I feel like I know you already from Florence telling me about you, even though I don’t really.” She thinks out loud earning a nod from the man. “I know right? I feel the same way. It’s like I‘ve known you for a while when in reality we’ve only just met.” He says in agreement with a smile, eyes crinkling in the corners and faint dimples appearing. Those were some little things that Y/N had taken note to in the time they’d spent together, finding her eyes would always linger which in return made faint blushes appear on her face. A content smile made its way on her face, resting her chin on the table and propping her chin on the outside of her hand. There’s a moment of silence and it’s comfortable, then she speaks again, “I think I might have to thank Florence later for doing this.” George smiles softly at this, leaning forward slightly too so they were only a few inches apart. Their noses almost brushing together and their lips ghosting over each other's, “When you do, give thanks from me too.”

Too Good | George MacKay

It really all felt too good to be true, it felt like a dream and if it was Y/N was sure she didn’t want to wake up from it. Despite this still being fairly new, it just felt right. It felt right to be in George’s home, listening to music while they cooked dinner together - it didn’t feel awkward at all which was something she was all too familiar with, from her past relationships. It honestly felt like this was where she was supposed to be and this was the life she was supposed to be living. She stirred the different vegetables together, trying to prevent them from burning as they continued to sautĂ© and soak in the seasonings she added, allowing her hips to move to the soft beat of the song in the background. There was a little smile on her face, enjoying her life to the fullest. What she also enjoyed was the feeling of his arms wrapping around her waist from the behind and his chin nestling in the crook of her neck.
Butterflies swarmed her stomach and she could feel her face growing hot. It still surprised her how she found herself blushing when he looked at her with a love of admiration, or how her body flushed at the little touches they shared as well as the sweet kisses they would steal from one another - it didn’t matter if they were expecting them or even if they weren’t. She had fallen so head over heels for him so fast, it was truly terrifying. The feeling of his breath on her neck sent shivers all over her body, her bottom lip being dragged in between her teeth as her smile grew. “It smells delicious,” George said, complimenting her work in the kitchen. His stomach grumbled loudly with hunger which earned a moment of silence from the two of them until he let out a laugh, Y/N following afterward with an amused raise of her eyebrow. “I think your stomach agrees with that.” She says, a teasing tone to her voice as she moves her head so she was looking at him. Giving him a little smile, she pressed a kiss to his lips in a swift movement. A hum of approval from George vibrates over their lips, his hands moving down to her hips where he turned her so her back was now pressed to the counter, giving her access to wrap her arms around his neck loosely. It was moments like this that neither of them wanted to end, the feeling of wanting to stay like this forever was very much mutual in between the two. George never wanted to forget the sight of Y/N in his home, making dinner for the two of them as she softly danced to the music. Looking so breathtakingly gorgeous under the dimmed lights. In fact, he wanted it to continue forever. He wanted to wake up every morning and have her by his side, he wanted to have nights like this every night, helping her cook, then later enjoy a movie until they both fell asleep entangled in each other’s hold. As they pulled apart from the peaceful bliss of the sweet kiss they had shared, they rested their foreheads together. Y/N’s eyes still closed as she continued to enjoy the moment but soon opened them at the feeling of George reaching for her hands that had slid from their spot over his shoulders and then rested on his chest. He held them in his hands, thumb rubbing the back of her hand while his eyes drifted back to looking at her. She was absolutely beautiful, and he was so hopelessly in love with her. “I’m going to marry you one day, Y/N.” It’s said in the sweetest of whispers. His words caused her eyes to grow wide, and her heart to hammer in her chest. Of all things, she was not expecting that. Though, his feelings were most certainly reciprocated despite the shock she felt from what he had just confessed. She waited a moment, and then two before she gently moved her hands so she could pepper his hands in little kisses. “And one day, I will say yes.” Her heart not slowing for a moment as she stared into his eyes, only to find a genuine look of happiness and love. She wouldn’t want anything else, and neither did he. It was all so beautiful and sweet until the smell of the food brought her back to her senses and her eyes widened in a brief moment of horror, “Shit! I hope they didn’t burn.” It comes out as a whine as she’s quick to drop his hands and turn around to check them, worry staining her features. In her fit of worry, she didn’t notice the large grin George wore on his face, arms crossing over her chest as he shook his head at the woman in front of him. Yep, he was gonna marry her.
