Its Just A Jigsaw

Four sides, Four shapes. Cut out to accept pieces on either side. These gaps are filled, But  they never really fit properly. The image is obscured, Never quite right. For years, These gaps attempted to get filled with what you think, Fit perfectly. While you fit in other pieces around them, The main pieces come undone, And you go back, Fix it and carry on. You change yourself to try and make things fit better, But you're fooled by your own thoughts, Reluctant to admit that the pieces just aren't right, The pieces become worn and tired, You're hurt and pained. Over time the gaps begin to get bigger as the pieces waste away. Eventually they break. Unfixable. You feel empty, Lost and defeated and worn. Back in the box, Back on the shelf it remains for some time. Nothing will ever be the same. You grow restless, Thinking you'll never be able to find anything that will fit again. Alternative pieces come and go, They fill the gaps, But the image just doesn't match the same. Nothing feels right. What's the point?   Give up. Lowest point, Nothing fits. No one understands. Begin to break, Growing weak. Frayed edges. Unused, Untouched, Beginning to fade. The image lacks colour, Its faded and worn....No hope. Unexpectedly, A new piece?...Brand new Beautiful, Amazing, Perfect in every way. Revitalizing, A new hope. Fixable. I found myself again. Motivated. Perfect fit, No hollow gaps. Regaining colour. Torn edges begin to heal. The obscured image, Is finally one.
