I'm not quite suited to give art advice but still I have a little tip here. Very often I have my sketches look stiff when I use a reference.

This is because I focus too much on literally copying the body/features/propotions. Because of this I lose the shapes that I like to use and then it looks stiff. In this study I first used the reference in red and drew it. Then redraw the same in blue without reference.

You can see above that I'm much looser in blue and use more shapes that aren't necessarily ''anatomically correct'' but still look just as good. I think this study is helpful to find out which shapes and lines you like and want to use in your style.
